- Matlock, a busy town with so much to do and see in the county of Derbyshire, some of the most popular things to see are the heights of Abraham, Peak District Mining Museum, Critch Tramway Village, Gullivers Kingdom and much much more.
Very popular with the motorbike brigade as a meeting point before or after riding around the dales, through the beautiful Derbyshire countryside.
Matlock was popular during the Victorian era being a spa town and was visited by Princess Victoria before she became queen.
Thanks for this! Visiting in a couple of weeks so nice to know what to expect/where everything is :)
Glad you enjoyed the video, have a great time 😊 Andy
Hi slight correction..the first 5 mins of your video is Matlock Bath..the bit you refer to as the second part of the town is Matlock...they technically seperate places.
Hi Chris, thanks for the info it's always good to get comments and get corrected. Andy

Take look at the stone centre wirksworth
Did you go through darley dale past DFS on left opposite petrol station
and Bakewell?
Hi and thanks for the comment, will have to. Check the stone centre out next time we’re out that way, yes went through Darley past Dale and DFS 😊 Andy
You've just done a video about a totally different town. You didn't get into Matlock until about 6 1/2 minutes in.
Lovely place, I was here a few weeks back. I stayed in Ashbourne, but visited Buxton, & Bakewell too. It's a holiday without seaside. All nice places with friendly locals in the pubs. 🍺👍.
@@Nick-xi9lm it’s lovely around that area and we love driving in Derbyshire, Ness loves a stop of in Bakewell for a wander around, sounds like you had a great time, thanks for watching. 😊 Andy
My ancestor emigrated from Matlock to Boston in 1636. Thank you for your video and such a beautiful place!
That’s a nice bit of history, glad you enjoyed the video 😊 Andy

We went up in the cable car to the Heights of Abraham and went in the caverns. Well worth a visit. I remember the green cross code ( I’m old😂😂) ❤❤
