while i do agree the splitscreen removal is dissapointing. You guys could of still game shared with another xbox one and only have to pay for one copy of the game. To make it clear, i am not defending splitscreen removal cause its disgraceful and something the game industry should stop doing. But gamesharing is an option people tend to forget.
Tenebris- I honestly don’t think anything from H5’s story will carry over into Infinite. I can’t imagine they’d have done so much work tip-toeing around the current status of the ‘Created’ and Cortana of they formed a large part of Infinite’s story.
The split screen was definitely one of the reasons I loved the games. I actually bought the Master Chief edition, in order to play the four games with my gf. And so we did and enjoyed it a lot. Then I went to buy Halo 5, and I'll always remember her look when she realized we wouldn't be able to play together...that was...hell of a bummer...so she ended up doing other stuff in the house while I was playing the game, only telling her the main plot twists, but she just didn't wanna play the game without me. Definitely a bummer and one of those changes gaming companies do for no reasons at all...
Oh, they had a reason: money. If people want to play together badly enough, they'll shell out extra money for another console, TV, and most importantly to them: another copy of the game. It's a despicable, money-worshiping concept, and do you want to know the worst part? It works. That's why game companies keep doing it.
Bungie split from microsoft years ago now you have these corporate robots at 343 who generate games with no desire of making them cool and fun to play.
Alec B. Yeah, there really is. That you don't understand what's happening is so sad. Your type are the reason these companies are getting away with this shit.
Halo CE anniversary was a poor remake, didn't have it's own multiplayer instead it was a reach expansion. They removed playlists in halo reach and made the game less balanced. 343 saw how successful cod was and tried to gain its market share by shitting on halo appealing to no one both cod and halo fans. They then fucked up the MCC which is where I believe the franchise started to die and now we have halo 5. Meanwhile new fans of the series who never played the old halos defended them shining all critisism of the franchise. That's what happened.
Halo 3 has been out for 8 years, and halo 5 just came out. And where ever you're getting these numbers from for halo 5 sales aren't factoring in the amount of digital versions of the game that were sold.
Remember halo reach when you saw that skull helmet in multiplayer you knew that you were playing with somebody who fucking earned that helmet somebody worked their ass off for that helmet
+sparkie1j I remember when you had to sacrifice 100000000+ hours of your life to get a mount in World of Warcraft and what a joy it was when they added an option to just finally buy one. Working your ass off in a fucking game is overrated (when youre not a kid anymore - when you are a kid, yeah, fuck those paying adult losers).
+sparkie1j I remember how Halo Reach also ditched skill ranking outside of the one Arena playlist. I also do not have the time I used to have that was used to earn that helmet. Cosmetics is stupid to make people grind for. And a lot of people did not earn their gear. They grinded Gruntpocalypse.
Noble1xCarter Xbox also took down any evidence of those advertisements from all their channels. They knew they mislead people into thinking what the interaction between chief and Locke would be.
Phil Spencer is a hypocrite. Back when they were trying to sell Halo: Anniversary Phil Spencer said that split screen is what got him into Halo and then tried to justify removing it in Halo 5.
@BlackSphinxx let's how hard it is for YOU to figure this out: "This game series always came with split screen that allowed several buddies to play on one console and one copy. That was a feature that got me into this game series in the first place. But Let's remove it from this one because it is taxing on hardware to run several different screens ar the same time instead of, you know, the better alternative being reduce the quality in those split screens, so we force consumers to buy multiple consoles and copies, all in the name of profit".
They don't... Halo without splitscreen and with microtransactions just show they dont give a single fuck. They use the name HALO to milk the cow until its dead.
@@philipb7400 Loved that game. I also love the harsh lesson of "don't be cocky" when I chose to jump in on the hardest difficulty and I got stomped by the AI. The only reason I chose to do that was because I didn't think it'd be hard.
His name is Brain Reed. He was the writer for Spartan ops and became the lead writer for halo 5. He got fired after that and halo wars 2 has a great story
Glad Joe is still fighting Micro transactions. A lot of reviewers get paid to promote them. e.g. "and good news team you can spend only $1100.40 to get all the cosmetics faster!!)
For real though, removing splitscreen was a horrid idea. Especially since the multiplayer is actually really fun, but can't play it with non Xbox One friends.
+FlintSparked Also, really surprised about the outrage about the REQ system. Non-invasive micro-transactions are so great. I can unlock stuff without spending money and get free maps. Kind of like the Mass Effect multiplayer. The devs also make a lot more money that way.
+FlintSparked Exactly i think REQs add to the game. the RP calculations in the vid are way off though. im pretty shit and i average 3000 RP per Warzone game with Common RP boosts. ive found that by using RP on silver packs you start to unlock uncommon and rare perms increasing ultra and leagendary drop rates in gold packs,
+TheAlbinoDude they make more money and they do need it since the Xbox 1 as flunked on lunch in an matter of fact all the platforms really did horrible in their new generations however that isn't the question was it morally right for MS and 343 to treat use like wallets rather than dedicate fans who had put up with an load of shit already
If all Spartans could do what Agent Locke’s team did on that snow mountain, in my humble world’s greatest detective opinion, I don’t think that the humans would’ve been losing 90% of the war against the Covenant.
What I like about Joe is that he is always brutally honest, no matter the game. If everyone is giving a game fantastic reviews, he's not afraid to come in and say that it sucks, and I respect. He's one of the few game reviewers I can actually trust nowadays
blame microsoft not 343i. A company which makes a master piece of a game (Halo4) MP is varied to opinions but you cant deny its a master piece you really cant. to making Halo5....It dosnt add up! New leaks show that halo5 was originally an open world side game and was the successor to halo3 ODST! The story we got and the game we got was not the game 343i wanted to give you. Then why all the change you ask? Well their are two things to blame. Microsoft and the community. Microsoft for forcing 343i to change the game a year before release and practically kill it in the process and the community for violant useless backlash to the games advertisements HuntTheTruth and the unprofessional or mature feedback resulting in 343i and microsoft literally not knowing what people wanted. 343i did nothing but listen to the community and microsoft forced them to sell a game that wasnt really theirs.
He's honest and I respect that, but some of this review contained borderline misinformation. Halo 5 is in NO way pay2win, and anyone who has played warzone can tell you that. You REALLY do not need to buy REQ packs, you earn plenty just by playing the game normally and the multiplayer is incredibly fun and balanced. Was the map pool lacking at launch? Yeah and it deserved to be critiqued, but 343's post-launch support and free updates also deserve praise for how outstanding they've been.
No splitscreen is the biggest bullshit. Couch gaming with friends is dying. It was one of the main advantages of consoles and it's being killed off. Just sad to see.
honestly couch playing with friends died for me like 5 years ago. 5 years ago my friends and I started to have our own game set up. Our own gaming chair with our own headset and we just play every night online. even if my friends did come over to play there be no room for them. I only got one chair haha. The only couch gaming game that I still play today is super smash brothers. 5 of my friends came over the other night and it was awesome. I know a lot of people are mad no split screen but it honestly doesn't bother me. I still play with 5 of my friends every night in our own apartments in our own game setup.
No split screen is a dealbreaker, 343 is absolutely out of their minds cutting that from the game. You're telling me that 15 years ago they got split screen to work on the original Xbox, but they can't figure it out today? I was gonna get this to play split screen with the wife (she's not much of a gamer, but one of the few games she enjoys is Halo), but since Microsoft only cares about money, I won't be buying a copy. I didn't even know about the bullshit microtransactions, but that just cemented the fact I won't buy it even after a big price drop.
+Salad Tongs It's not that they can't get it to work, it's that it literally would break their game engine. The engine relies on varying resolutions to maintain 60 fps, which is becoming the standard today and is important to many people, as well as esports. They're catering to the larger audience, if they could have gotten splitscreen to work, they would have. It'll be in the next game, just wait. The microtransactions are totally optional, and you would never have to buy them and you'd get the exact same experience as everyone else. The money from the goes to game development and esports tournaments, maybe 1/4 goes to profits. It's for players now more than ever, people just don't realize that because they see that oh so scary word "microtransaction".
Well from what I've seen, you only get 60fps within around 50m of the game world, everything passed that is obviously well below 60. I really don't want to hear excuses why a multi billion dollar media conglomerate can't get their flagship game to run on split screen without "breaking the engine". Sounds like they spent too much time worrying about the microtransactions, instead of making a good game with the features people want.
Building a game engine is not as easy as you think. I don't know what you're talking about with this "around 50m of the game world" especially if you don't even have the game but this game is *always* at 60fps
Turan X I wish I worked for Microsoft. This is most likely a sarcastic attempt at calling me bias, without any real facts to refute anything I have said. Good job mate, A+.
+Nighthawk458 Nobody has to buy any DLC to have fun, nobody. I'm having a blast and I haven't felt the need to pay anything more than the $60 I paid for the disc. Halo 5 is the best and no multiplayer game is going to beat it this year.
11:25 "see you in another 2-3 years" 2018: *Halo infinite may be delayed until 2020* Edit: Damn if someone told me back then that it would release in *_DECEMBER 2021..._* I would've cried
It is delayed because they are trying to save whats left after every company goes bankrupt - rightfully so- for their shitty predatory gambling tactics. They designed the game completely around microtransaction lootpacks which are now absolutely hated so they will have to redo almost all of the game.. Hence why you need to wait two more years for the game to come out. Halo 6 is going to be even worse in just about any aspect than 5 was. mark my words.
I miss when games had armors unlocked through challenges.. So when you wore the set you felt like a badass for unlocking it.. They need to add this in all games.. You should not unlock cosmetic items through cashshop or leveling up but only through being a bad ass..
well, I know one person in the comments who doesn't waste money on content locked on their discs.... I'm not being sarcastic, I am glad there are people smart enough to see through the bullshit publishers try to sell people.
+numaTruehome 100 hell, I mean in Halo 4 you had to beat it on legendary to get the Mark IV armour. stuff like that! make us feel badass! Not relieved for finally working up enough enough fucking credits to buy it
***** Yeah. I completely despise micro transactions. In fact it's because of these kind of changes to halo (including the ads and more cod like gameplay) that i'm still kinda in a boycott mindset for halo 5
EA's microtransactions look GREAT compared to this BS, like seriously wtf. Warzone gave plenty of shit for free, INCLUDING CODpoints. And here we are, with a Halo that's FtP, so already has plenty of hackers, and you get almost NOTHING if you don't pay.. At least the community didn't suck dick too hard, and so things are being changed, but the Pass is still dogsh*t. It's just a cashgrab in my eyes, they went real hard on the guns and some aspects of gameplay, then slapped together a few basic maps and called it a day.
hell say what you will about call of duty but at least black ops 3 has a splitscreen multiplayer, yes at this moment call of duty put more efforts in a specific area than halo 5...
seriously why are all the developers taking out split screens in games.... So we can't crash on the couch with friends and play on the same tv... the fuck...Seriously do people still have real friends? or is that a thing for old people?
RicingGround3 You realize the trouble they went through to try to get a steady 60fps in this game? Trying to play split screen with all the shit going on trying to keep a steady fps would be pretty hard to do. It's not PR, i don't even play Halo, i don't care about it.
pathg13 then use 30 fps when on split screen... people who use it would not care they just want to play with their friends while in the same room.. also if that was the case they would have said it instead of giving us some bullshit excuse that it's hard to get people in the same room... which they pulled right out of their ass..
This genuinely makes me concerned about future generations. It seems as though they're just easy targets for big gaming companies to take advantage of financially. In the future, It may even be just normal for each kid in the family to own his own xbox or playstation. It may just be normal for a kid to wanna buy every game AND everything in the game. The future of gaming seems to just be money grabs.
Well in halo 3 you destroyed all the halos as well as the ark then killed the covenants prophets and destroyed the grave mind halo 4's enemy is the people who made halo and halo 5 is about Cortana or sum shit
Or if Chief becomes so obsessed with bringing Cortana back that he eventually just loses all sense of right and wrong and does what he needs to to bring her back. That would’ve at least had some pay off at the end.
Omega 3370 no it wouldn't make sense, why would john hunt lock? I think they should of just made him fo rogue to destroy cortana...not find her and try save her...she is an advanced ai and john knows very well they end up going mad and end up having to get shut down, cortana is no different apart from the fact that it took more time for her to brake
@@Padlock_Steve And they have. They essentially are copying CoDs system with a free battle pass that gives nothing and a "premium" one that actually gives good rewards and bundles galore in the store to buy.
The thing I absolutely hate about this game is that the campaign insists on crappy co-op , taking away SO many possibilities a focused single player could have done. If you go solo on this game, you're stuck with 3 shitty AI companions whether you like it or not.
Halo is a HORRIBLE game for one specific reason, requisition points. Also rank is pointless because no one can see it, and there's like two fuckin maps. I have been a major halo 5 fan for many ages, but I refuse to play anymore. There is absolutely no incentive to play a game where all your progress can be bought. It’s unfair to everyone. It also makes the game completely pointless. It's the new generation of corporate greed. The gaming industry is just getting worst and worst. I got halo 5, played it for a few days then sold it, it disgusted me. Its pay to win. So now progress doesn't even matter. Your rank and skill is not even shown to anyone at any time rendering it completely useless. The only time other players can see your rank is if you’re in a party with them. All that matters is "requisition" points. You gain requisition points through playing the game or BUYING THEM for real money. So all the work and progression you grind for is useless and pointless. Players can just BUY requisition points aka gold packs with real money rendering all your hard work progressing and grinding useless. There literally is no incentive to play. All your progress is literally for nothing, because it can just be bought. I see no point in playing a game where you have to grind for hours to get one gold pack when you can just buy it with real money. What's the point in grinding when all your progress can just be bought? Also what's the point in getting your rank up if no one can see it. Fucking retarded, The game industry once again lets me down.
Wow. I'm honestly having trouble believing that animation isn't a joke. What were they thinking? You'd think one of the people working on that animation would've realized it's stupid, appeals to a demographic not old enough to buy games, and insults those in the gaming community whose opinions are highly respected. I'm honestly surprised that slipped through the cracks. On an unrelated note, pretty cool that BO3 will have actual modding tools. Haven't been interested in CoD for a long time, but BO3 actually gives me some hope. Hopefully it ends up decent.
+PenguinHQ That's capitalism for ya. This is no worse than saying that smoking is good for you. Load of bullshit 343, because you guys CLEARLY weren't going to get enough cash from the Halo franchise already. Fuck off.
Garrett Oflaherty Frankly, I have no trust for AAA games, so all the terrible business with microtransactions and such are no surprise to me. I just don't understand who watched that and felt better about REQ points.
14:48-19:13 *Angry Joe had me dying but you are right that’s what they do.* 😂 26:08-38:40 *ANGRY JOE WAS RIGHT AGAIN AND I CAN’T BELIEVE THE HALO FANBOYS ACTUALLY DEFENDED MICRO TRANSACTIONS BACK IN THE DAY!* 🤦🏽♂️
Maaaan, I was considering buying an xbox one for this game. I'm really glad I didn't. The REQ system actually really bothers me more for the power weapon and vehicle thing than the armor. BUT I think the absolute WORST microtransaction systems are the ones where you don't choose what you get. I've watched videos of people unboxing 300 dollars worth of CS GO crates where they get NOTHING. At least in halo every pack is a guaranteed armor piece, but if you're after a specific set you could very well never unlock it (let's be real, nobody is spending a grand on in-game armor.) I wouldn't mind the microtransactions if you could just buy the armor you wanted while keeping the packs that you unlock with gameplay random.
I am 7 minutes into a 38 minute review AND NO GODDAMN SPLITSCREEN NO ME AND MY BEST FRIEND SITTING ON THE COUCH LAUGHING AND HAVING FUN THAT WAS THE WAY I ALWAYS PLAYED HALO WE HAVE TO BUY TWO AND THEN PLAY ON SEPARATE FUCKING TVS SO WE CAN'T EVEN SEE EACH OTHERS' FACES WHAT THE FLYING FUCK 343?!?!?
343: Hey I have a great idea, let’s destroy Cortana’s character development and give the biggest middle finger to both her relationship with the Chief and to all of the fans of that relationship I genuinely *despise* you 343
+majedzowk i said , "fuck it", i cant compete w/gaming zombies and the parent who keeps putting out cash just to shut their kids up. i just quit gaming
+TremaVids Actually to unlock Hyabusa armor you just had to find all the skulls hidden throughout the game, and finish the obnoxious ring jumping in one of the later missions(it was to obtain the hardest skull). The Katana is what you're thinking of... it was obtained by acquiring 1000GS in Halo 3, which was previously the max. However it was made easier to obtain with the release of more DLCs, as they added new achievements. Finally agreed, armor should be unlocked through tests of SKILL. Reach was a test of patience due to grinding, and this new system is a test of luck and or your wallet. In other words its gotten worse.
+GucciBalboa everyone is just angry because they don't want change Locke is a new character we can't play as chief for another 3 games and also playing as Locke form more of the game is to make the series longer and last more
To obtain all of the customizations in Halo Reach you would have to purchase all armors and attain the Inheritor rank. That takes a minimum of 600 hours if you start grinding from the get go to well over 1000+ hours otherwise. Just throwing that out there...
+Bitter Strike! Cartoons People need to stop listening to media to make their opinion, Halo4 got scored way to high and same with halo reach. MP in those games were awful to the series. Halo5 fixed that brining back the roots of halo. Halo5's MP is the BEST in the series i can say this since i am SR-24 and ranked diamond2 in slayer. Forgers that played at 343i studio are saying the forge is the BEST in the series! Many old maps and gametypes are returning as well! The campaign was by far the most action packed in the series to date. The story will be hard to follow if you do not know the EXPANDED LORE! some of the lore is metioned in game so i recommend turning up the voice volume and turning down the music and affects volume to 7. I will admint the character development isnt the best in the series but isnt the worst cough cough HaloCE cough. But over all this game is an amazing experience to play. ITS NOT THE SAME TO WATCH. its like saying hey im gonna watch a guy ridew a rollar coaster, watches it and says it was boring and wasnt scary WELL NO FREAKING DUH, you have to ride the rollarcoaster (Halo5) to experience that suspence and action etc. Overall this is a MUST BUY GAME! Dont listen to the media and be a sheep their doing it for VIEWS halo4 and reach should have been atleast an 7.8 at best the MP is what killed those games beside halo reaches forge and cutoms. So go out and buy halo5 try it out if you like you like it if you dont like then just sell it back. The lesson is though, dont be a sheep and listen to some random video telling you something is bad so you should listen him/her go have your own opinions and GAME ON!
+MYTHICALTWINKIE What you just said is that people should ignore people who voice there displeasure in a game and just buy it anyway. That is the most brainwashed corprate B.S. i've ever heard anyone say.
What you said can be taken as hate for reach. Reach is good. Halo 4 is bad. So to be specific... Halo died when bungie left and 343 stepped up. It's obvious that the world of gaming started going into the realm of micro transaction corporate butt fuckery and a totally new company for halo showed up. These 2 factors are why halo sucks dick now. New devs who are retarded who follow corporate shit head trends.
I miss Halo 3 where you would have to do some cool as shit to unlock armour. Like pull off some kind of crazy stunt in Legendary. But no. Now buying my armour is cool. Shake my head. I miss Halo
Same. 343 took halo in a direction the true fans hate. I'm not a nostalgia fanboy, but the fact that people just unlock armor randomly is bs. What do you have to show for your skill? The one armor set that was only unlock able through completing mcc on legendary. That armor set eventually turned into a req item, making the challenge worthless. It annoys me how rng and micro transactions took over gaming.
In Halo 3, I like how one of the most epic armors imo was in a way simple to get: the Hayabusa armor and sword (just by collecting those skulls from many maps). And I still got nostalgia from it lol. And of course the achievements to get the required armor were sick to pull off! Full on nostalgia/happiness every time
I don't play Halo as much, but I agree that splitscreen is integral to most multiplayer games! I have fond memories of playing Black Ops in local splitscreen with my dad and siblings. And Call of Duty, to this day, still has local multiplayer for those without Xbox Live (or whatever).
Halo Reach truly was the last good Halo.. then Bungie went to make Crapstiny and Halo devs broke apart regardless... if only the real Bungie was still behind Halo. Also: Halo Reach had Credits that you would earn JUST LIKE REQ POINTS... the difference being that you had to level up online to unlock armor pieces (which took lots of effort and was accomplishing), it was just for the armory, AND CREDITS WERE EARNED SOLELY THROUGH PLAYING THE GAME AND WEREN'T PURCHASABLE.
I agree, I loved how as you leveled you could see higher tier armors that were ways off, but you couldnt use or get them yet, it was mysterious. The higher options would become visible as you got high, but you had no idea they existed until then, like Gungnir.
+Nathan Morroni Fun fact with reach, most lore heavy fans were not a big fan of it. It completely ignored Eric Nylunds book The Fall of Reach, bungie greatly ignored the already pre-existing lore which ended pissing off a lot of people.
Well, look at Halo 4 and how it's multiplayer sucked. Halo 5 improved upon it. Halo 6 will have splitscreen after an announcement by 343 and everyone's complaining, so it's impossible to not improve at least a little bit.
SonicChaocc Halo 6 is actually looking real good so far. The flood returning, split-screen coming back, potentially interesting story including the Banished, what's left of the Covenant, and the Flood. It could shape out to be an amazing game.
Flying Thrills not Halo feeling at all, but I agree, I genuinely enjoyed Halo 5’s gameplay and feel. I hope Infinite goes back to Halo 2/3 gameplay, but if they keep 5’s, I’m fine with it tbh.
this is a giant reason for why I'm not buying the game yet. Playing Halo with my brother was one of my favorite things and now we need a separate Xbox, game, and account for that? Fuck's sake.
YourWaifu IsTrash reach had a shit campaign compared to 3 and 2. On top of that the players and bungie were 100x better in 3. Also the Armor sets were based on skill and hard achievements, unlike reach where you literally just have to rank up. Halo 3 was based on achievements so it was actually difficult.
@@ganon95pulze Correction. NEW IP needs to be good to gain a following. With halo 343 half ass everything as they know they get sales. If they had a brain. They'd make a VERY good game and they'd gain a good rep. Get more money from sales and those investors would be happy and invest more. The next game could be even better due to more money.
The big companies have shareholders to satisfy and a lack of creativity and motivation to make quality products so they make half assed crap and supplement it with micro transactions.
Phil Spencer was a visionary. He knew about the COVID-19 and the future social distancing measures, that's why they removed the split screen in the first place to SAVE HUMANITY!. And then he had to lie so Bill Gates (Who was one of the Coronavirus creators) wouldn't fired him from Xbox. Phil Spencer the real Master Chief! xD!!!!
Halo 3 - 2007: To get the Katana armour, You had to unlock all the achievements Halo 5 - 2015: To get any armour, You need a deep wallet. Fuck modern gaming.
+Bloodycarcass what he's saying is you don't earn it. Other halo games you earn your armor, in this one it's just random and like joe said if you want all armor get ready for over 1000 hr. no one has time for that lol
+Beerlover2007 u know in Halo reach u get armor by ranking up & getting points to buy the gear why did 343 do this instied to witch i don't have a clue. did they really think the req packs would get there wallets more fat do they think were not smart. they need to fix this soon.
I remember I had to spend so many hours when ODST came out and you had a chance to get the legendary recon armor. Spent so many hours with friends trying to get it
I don't even understand. Is adding co-op into the game that hard? it's been there in every single game for the franchise, and its a halo staple. theyd have to have known it would upset people. just seems like a stupid nonsensical move.
+Santos Melendez Because probably they wouldn't be able to run it at 60 fps...And since the PR guys just brag about the 60 fps on the game...yeh,you know what really happened.
When I play halo, I look at people's armor and say "wow, that guy worked hard for his armor, he's mlg" Now I can look at people's armor and say "wow, he's rich" I wanna be proud of what I did to earn my armor, like assassinate 1000 people, or headshot 1000 people, that made me feel so awesome and special in halo 4!!! I WANT TO GO THROUGH HELL TO EARN MY ARMOR THROUGH SHEER SKILL SO I CAN SAY TO NOOBS "yeah I did it, fear me"
+Banana Melon What are you talking about? the way you got armour on Halo 4 was cheap, all you had to do was to level up and you would unlock Recon around level 20, there was only a couple of armors that took skill to get, also the WOW SO RICH thing could also be said for Reach.
Things Halo 6 needs: 1. Split screen 2. To be able to play as Chief or Arbiter 3. More maps 4. More game modes 5. Preferably without REQs (I don't mind REQs, but a lot of people hate it) 6. A good conclusion 7. They need to make Cortana good again or make like a clone of her with her memories up to Halo 4's ending (idk about this one really)
8. Playable elites 9. Dual Wielding (maybe) 10. Bring back all classic game modes 11. Incredible stuff for doing amazing achievements. 12. Make the campaign like shown in teasers and trailers... (not making the whole campaign mostly about locke) Note: At first from the teasers, I thought this game would be like halo 2 where it switched to another characters points of view every mission or a campaign where you get to choose which side you want to be on, Team Chief or Team Locke and it would have a different outcome or the same just from their point of view at that time and event.
CMDR_Kai Gaming Elites would be free, you just unlock more as you rank up like in reach and is completely cosmetic like in halo 2 and 3; reach not so much since it had literal tracking for covenant weapons. Duels would be found on the map and not included in one time uses or load-outs, you just combine a sub weapon with another that's found on the map, it would be balanced out with no zoom and short range. it would add variety to multiplayer instead of same old same old single weapons and ONLY Spartans. The closest thing we got to playable elites right now is the helios armor, with the right colors, you can look like an arbiter. Yet, i'd still want playable elites, it'd be fun to see an elite team with you in combat or assist you in vehicles! or better yet, wort wort wort!
I FUCKING HATE REQS, They are the dumbest thing to ever hit the halo franchise. It's like 343 went and asked activision "Hey how can we mooch some more money off of retarded halo fans?" OH SUPPLY DROP LIKE SHIT BOXES!!!
Fewer older people play split-screen gameplay? I've played the Halo series with my father and his friends since even before I was a teenager, and even invited him and his friends to play newer halo games 12 YEARS LATER and we still enjoyed playing it in campaign. I dunno what statistics 343 studios are using, or control group they're testing like Aperture science, but it sure the hell aint regular gamers. Most people I know would jump at the chance to play cooperatively... ESPECIALLY other family members.
+Suicidal Muffin you say that, but I'm merely asserting that I as a big halo fan, and anyone else who I know who were also fans of halo, were utterly disgusted by 343s Halo games. especially halo 5
It's amazing how little this game delivered. I forgot how bad it was until i rewatched this, just to think i thought about going back to play this as i never bothered completing it the first time round. The things that made Halo great and unique have all gone. I'd of given this game a 4/10
That they took out split screen coop is *infuriating!* The *MOST IMPORTANT* reason I bought previous Halo games is because of *LOCAL MULTIPLAYER*. The fact that they took it out only enforces the belief that the gaming industry is going to fall down and crumble because of its bullsh*t practices companies seem to do nowadays. There was *NO VALID REASON* not to include local coop, but to get people to spew out more money.
+Tyboroth They moved to a new console, and built this new game from the ground, up. It's not like they removed something they already had. It would have cost time and money to put Split-screen co-op in, and by not doing so, they freed up those finances and that time to improve other features.
+Tyboroth The actual reason is that local splitscreen would have broken the games stability. The game would literally not be able to run on splitscreen due to how they designed how the game renders and performs and also because the hardware isn't powerful enough (which really says a lot about how lacking this generation of consoles' hardware is). The game is designed with a ridiculous amount of technical techniques to ensure that the game will constantly run at 60 fps, the way they designed the way the game renders to get 60 fps would make it almost virtually impossible for them to add splitscreen unless the hardware somehow got better which it can't.
+Tyboroth "No valid reason"? This particular statement shows that you're just ignorant of the facts: the current generation of consoles are already at their limits. Rendering two screens is hard, you know. Games have already hit the roof of the 'next gen' console's limits.
+Tyboroth Exactly. For those who say how hard it is to put in split screen and how much time it takes to put in split screen... then why the hell did they put it in EVERY OTHER HALO GAME? This was a huge downgrade in Halo.
I'm just generally disappointed in Halo 5, doesn't feel the same as the others, I'd let halo 4 off since that was okay but this one just got way off course!
@Phillip hanna One of my favourite missions from Halo 4 was flying the Pelican. But I agree with the last mission, could have been better if you could actually fight The Didact, he didn't really feel intimidating.
If there's one thing Halo 4 did better than the previous games whether or not you liked the game, it's that they build up Chief's and Cortana's chemistry more than the previous games.
Lol i hooped on Halo 3 for the first time in years a while back on a new account and i looked at a "hacked" picture and got recon and hayabusa instantly. "Earn"
I'm surprised joe praised the graphics and wild life. Reach pinned that right on the bullseye. They changed how everything looks in 4 and 5 in a bad way in my opinion.
The graphics DO look amazing though whether or not you dislike the art style. I'll take that over the classic art style with god awful graphics in Halo Infinite.
@@BlueBlur2003 You know they fixed the graphics in Infinite? And you know there isn't a "classic Halo artstyle" ? Every Halo game has a different look. 1 and 2 are different, 3 (or ODST) and Reach are different. Graphics are completely meaningless if the artstyle sucks dick, and enough people know this to where Joe was probably talking about the graphical element of the game as a whole, the stuff that goes into your eye holes.
Of course, we have a bunch of fanboys who defend the lack of splitscreen by claiming that graphics are more important and that "Online is where it's at!", acting as though the inclusion of splitscreen would've affected the game as a whole. If Black Ops III and Battlefront can do it, then I don't see why Halo can't.
+Udoby Break Yes they do. In fact, Battlefront was developed by a company who typically doesn't use splitscreen, all the more reason why it's kind of pathetic that 343 gave up on it.
Reegyn Silis I'll admit that not having it for the online modes is a bit disappointing, but at least it has it in some way (for the local game modes where you play against bots, alongside the survival mode).
+shnick1990 If the lack of splitscreen ruins a game like Halo for you, you are a sad, sad little man. Splitscreen was necessary back when LAN parties were a thing. With the revolution of online gaming, anybody who still wants to splitscreen is lost. Everybody's go-to personal attack is to call someone a fanboy...what happens when a person who doesn't even own the game says you complaining about the lack of splitscreen is idiotic? People like you who are bitching about it are the people who act as though the EXCLUSION of splitscreen affects the game as a whole. Whereas, if it were in the game, it wouldn't run at 60 fps and be as smooth. Don't be an idiot. I found it hilarious when Joe said "he HAD to buy another Xbox One" so Other Joe could play. Why doesn't OJ be a big boy, and buy his own, like an adult? I find it hard to believe OJ didn't have a console after almost 2 years of it being out.
I would have honestly have rather seen Halo end after REACH....bungies last game, chiefs story ended on Halo 3 and the other two were cash grabs. Halo 4 was decent and did an okay job at picking it up from where 3 ended, but Halo 5 is just crap...idk what was up with 343 on this one, REQ(microtransaction BS), aiming down sights, no split screen and a falsely advertised story, It isn't Halo anymore it is Republic Commando and CoD mixed together to make a fucked up clone. To me, Halo ended after REACH and 4 is just a DLC for Reach, may the TRUE Halo rest in peace.
Harry Sheldon I'm pretty sure 5 is way better than 4, regardless of microtransactions. And they released new content for free, which was nice. Only annoying part is NO FIGHT WITH LOCKE. Edit: Oh ya and it really sucks they took out split screen thats a huge thumbs down.
Meme Team! Really I remember so much criticism for Halo 4 and its story when it came out now it just seems to be everyone hate on the newest game and pretend you liked Halo 4.
Nick Savage I never said 4 is better than 5 but I personally do not like the direction it is headed and I am part of that group who refuses to accept Halo 4 and 5 as part of the lore......that would be like if IW made a black ops game and it did a poor job at carrying along the black ops/WaW story line.
Halo 4 was also my last Halo game. I knew it was gonna go downhill after Reach, which is my favorite. I tried out Halo 4 like everyone else did and hardly ever play it now. The trailers for Halo 5: Guardians also seemed kinda good/cool and all, but it hasn't interested me at all to buy a Xbox One and play 5. I've also asked some of friends who have 5 and they can't really tell me what's good about it. But I knew it wasn't gonna be all that so I'm not buying a Xbox One yet or Halo 5 at all that's for sure.
+Indya Bailey From how I'm seeing it, you should NOT buy an Xbox One for Halo since Halo is dead. Instead, you should try out other games on it like Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive, Rare Replay, etc.
AmericanBuizel Lol if those games are good enough I'll buy an Xbox One for them. Halo isn't officially dead yet; there are tons of people who still play Reach
Joe don't attack the game I bought and love unconditionally. It makes me feel like you are personally attacking me because I have been told my whole life I can do no wrong. I like micro transactions, I can look cool and my parents don't care how much of their money I spend. I'm going to proceed to bash you in the comments section of your video I came to watch now.
+Jody Boles a bit trollish. more of a satire of the newer generation of gamers. I know not all of them are this way but most don't understand the concept of money yet so will buy whatever is cool and defend it like it's in their interest.
wolfpack4128 this is sadly true. Gaming nowadays have taken the wrong turn. At least there are a few good ones like fallout 4. This is why people must do all the research they can do on a video game before buying. Like Star Wars battlefront. I'm a big fan of it but the way dice and ea handle it is just insane and a disgrace sigh.......
+wolfpack4128 If a system like giving a company money to look cool in a game could be done by everyone it wouldn't really be a problem. As well as the fact that games these days don't offer the satisfaction of unlocking something, like to unlock a helmet you had to complete a seriously difficult achievement, maybe you'd feel amazing that you unlocked this helmet exclusively to you for completing such a difficult task and even be praised for it and feel proud of yourself, you earned it.
5 even removes the impact of Cortana's sacrifice. It was sad, but it worked. She makes the ultimate sacrifice, becoming (in-essence) human like she wanted. She died a hero, saving her partner's life. He then comes to understand that he's more that just a machine, and that's that. Their story is complete. Then Guardians comes along and WOOLOOLOO SHE DIDN'T DIE AFTER ALL BUT NOW SHE'S THE BAD GUY WHADDA TWIST. Cheapened the whole damn thing for me.
Famboyism is killing gaming. Blind gamers praising bullshit from previously loved franchises. Making Developers think the bullshit is what people like, and to keep chugging it out.
+Doddery feline It's either extreme that is bad for developers. Gamers that harass developers verbally through threats is not helpful. But also defending games that are doing certain things poorly compared to other games only because it is part of a beloved franchise is not helpful either. Joe has a lot of games that are highly scored. If he feels this game deserves criticism, it his right to as a reviewer to do so.
Apibapi Daorda Im mainly upset with team osiris like who tf are they? Where did they come from? I really don't wanna have to rely on off game sources just to find out what's going on in the game...just terrible
ODST didn't have the best campaign dude, come on. It was alright but that's about it. It did three things right. Good atmosphere in certain parts of the game. Those healer alien things lol and Firefight obviously. I played that shit for hours on end with my bros
Don't fool yourself Joe, nobody's gonna play Halo 5 in december, we will all be heads deep in Fallout 4 to even care about some new free maps in Halo 5.
Stop hating brah the game is successful that's just the fact and it's a good game even with it flaws which it does have but the most important thing Is it's fun and that's what gaming Is about if this was killzone or the order 1886 i bet u wouldn't hear half of the hate
Idk why but I loved reach lol I never realized it got so much hate literally until today, I watched someone else talk about halo 4 to halo 5. What made reach funny for ya?
@basincreep if they kept their new games like reach it wouldn't be an issue. But they continuesly made it worse. 343 I made a post on their main forums a while back about it.
@@fragglefknrock7568 or they could keep the games like 3 and take out fucking loadouts from Arena multiplayer... Which ironically enough Halo 5 did just that.
Reach was easily the most friendly game in the Halo series when it came to community building. How many thousands and thousands of players formed their own clan's, custom game types, maps, and systems of play? We were given a toolset with Reach, a toolset that has to date never been matched by any Halo game since. How come a game released in 2010 has better looking armor than Halo 5? Yes, Halo 5 has MORE customization options, but why do I need or want 200 barbie-doll looking armors when I can have one BA looking set that I myself assembled piece by piece? It's baffling. No one wants that if they have a functioning brain. But that's what we got. Crazy. Shows how the game development sphere has changed IMO. Edit: crap I miss Reach. Going back to play it on MCC.
MYTHICALTWINKIE It really didn't feel like Halo to me, even Halo 4's multiplayer was much different than 5's. I didn't like either Halo's multiplayer, but 5 was good I just didn't like it.
+Menacing Threat I only ever played Halo for the story, never really played multiplayer unless it's with friends or family, but I can't ever do that anymore because there's no split screen
+akirajotaro Halo 4 was incredibly written, although I thought Halo 5 was still a good narrative yarn. I think you're missing out, especially since Halo 5 really adds to the lore, characters, and the universe.
Gremade spam is in just about any major fps shooter o-o that' not the game's fault it's how people play...well I can't force you to like a game as it is your opinion and your decision on whether you hate the game or not, I only responded to this video due to how biased the review was.
+Hakim Elgabi What do you mean unbalanced? It's completely balanced like the first three Halo games, with same weapon spawns and same abilities and such. If you suck at teamwork and knowing map layout with power weapons, of course you'd complain.
They didnt add the split screen because it would drop the framerate, they said. Well guess what 343i, I dont even care if the Framerates drop to 25 FPS for the the split screen! YOU DON NOT TAKE OUT SPLIT SCREEN FROM HALO!!!!
+Exilon0193 Should've at least been an option. 343:"But the game will play like crap." So? If I wanna play a game at 30 or 25 fps multiplayer with my friends on one couch that's my business
Hellno: Removes Split screen, increases MICROTRANSACTION amount, makes limited uses of "UNLOCKABLES." Halo makes unlockables, unusables without MICROTRANSACTIONS. If you wanted a permanent of a certain weapon you have to GAMBLE, because online gambling isn't illegal, kids can spen hundreds of dollars and Bun..... 343 Industries can't get in trouble for it. They should disable this feature it should be removed as it's unfair to those who don't have the funds to get these cool weapons.
I play Star Wars Battlefront II. The only Battlefront II as 2017 is battlefront IV it's battlefront 4 not 2 it's fucking 4. Easy Asses should change the fucking names of 2015 and 2017 to battlefront 3 and battlefront 4 and they should make it so there are NO DLC, and NO MICROTRANSACTION. As this is quite bullshit and the FIRST two games in 2004 and 2005, when you bought the game your brought your friends family and 1000s of hours of fun. No custom classes no earning vehicles. If you found a vehicle you hopped in it unless the crew capacity was full. Nowadays if you get 1200 kills you can unlock some random dude with a pistol and a thrust pack.
Remember when games were just good or bad. Now there's like 20 games a year that look fucking great then disappoint because of these lazy devs that just want money!
+K- dentualz The devs are fine, infact most devs are vastly underpaid and overworked, You wanna know what the problem is? Its the ceo's. They know business, not video games. Whatever makes money is good, and to them gamers are just a constant source of reliable income.
343 are just a bunch of liars that's it the game looked to be huge but in truth , it has nothing they are not lazy they are juste so bad they don't know how to make a game and especially a halo game ... you can see it : halo 4 a total garbage in multiplayer mcc is broken (even a remaster game they can fail it...) sprtan assault and strike have nothing to offer (imo) and halo5 could have been the best halo but they failed as always . 3 years for this shit wtf hunt the truth had a better story than the game :') halo is dead we can cry and hate 343 for what they did i had faith in 343 really, but they are not good devs at all
+Jack St john Honestly, I say Halo died with number 4. 4 imo was okay, but nothing too great yet not too bad either. It was 343's first attempt at a Halo game, so I was willing to cut them some slack. However, when the MCC first launched and had a ton of problems, that's when I said "Yup, Halo is officially dead".
only played halo on a friends xbox but i never really played it but ik how you feel about AC...after ac4 it went to shit and ac4 was mosty a pirate game but at least acs is ok
what needs to happen is new ideas need to be made into a fun balanced game made by developers who care about their fans and what they think, the story needs to be strong and very enjoyable while the multiplayer must be unique with lots of things like new items/maps regularly and challenges to bring you back every day. Sadly this is unlikely to happen anytime soon
Agree dude. The ability to update a game post release was a great step forward in gaming possibility, but a huge step back in gaming reality.
Holy shit
+Jeremy Jahns So I'm guessing Halo 5 wasn't awesometacular for you then?
The gameplay is fun but every halo game has fun gameplay
while i do agree the splitscreen removal is dissapointing. You guys could of still game shared with another xbox one and only have to pay for one copy of the game. I honestly wish they would scrap halo 5's story. But it seems they wont

It turned into shit ever since 4, that's what happened.
Honestly, the quality dropped and the devs got lazy
Halo CE anniversary was a poor remake, didn't have it's own multiplayer instead it was a reach expansion. They removed playlists in halo reach and made the game less balanced. 343 saw how successful cod was and tried to gain its market share by shitting on halo appealing to no one both cod and halo fans. They then fucked up the MCC which is where I believe the franchise started to die and now we have halo 5. Meanwhile new fans of the series who never played the old halos defended them shining all critisism of the franchise. That's what happened.
+ultragarrison halo 3 was my favorite game of all time
Halo 3 has been out for 8 years, and halo 5 just came out. And where ever you're getting these numbers from for halo 5 sales aren't factoring in the amount of digital versions of the game that were sold.
Remember halo reach
when you saw that skull helmet in multiplayer
you knew that you were playing with somebody who fucking earned that helmet
somebody worked their ass off for that helmet
And now, you see a skull helmet, and know a little piece of shit kid bought it on his first day of playing
+sparkie1j I don't remember it being that difficult at all, as a matter of fact there was 2-3 of them per game(4v4)

Phil Spencer is a hypocrite. Back when they were trying to sell Halo: Anniversary Phil Spencer said that split screen is what got him into Halo and then tried to justify removing it in Halo 5.

@BlackSphinxx let's how hard it is for YOU to figure this out:
"This game series always came with split screen that allowed several buddies to play on one console and one copy.
I like how today 343 made a public statement claiming splitscreen will be in every future Halo title guaranteed. Finally realized their fuck up.
Thank god

blame microsoft not 343i.
+MYTHICALTWINKIE Sorry man, but a lot of people agree that Halo 4 was also a let down.
+Ethan Moore That sounds like you work for Microsoft. You have to be!
Turan X I wish I worked for Microsoft. This is most likely a sarcastic attempt at calling me bias, without any real facts to refute anything I have said. Good job mate, A+.
You either die a great game series, or live long enough to become a hub of DLC and microtransactions...
so true
+Nighthawk458 Nobody has to buy any DLC to have fun, nobody. I'm having a blast and I haven't felt the need to pay anything more than the $60 I paid for the disc. Halo 5 is the best and no multiplayer game is going to beat it this year.

2018: *Halo infinite may be delayed until 2020*
Edit: Damn if someone told me back then that it would release in *_DECEMBER 2021..._* I would've cried

Even the game devs of halo said they were making it like cod.. they literately said this..
maybe 4... 5 its it own game
It’s crazy how on point he was with the cooking a frog analogy with microtransactions. Look at halo infinite now lmao
And now they are considering adding microtransactions to the Master Chief Collection.
@@okagron I think they’re not doing that anymore to be fair

Phændrith Drægar true
seriously why are all the developers taking out split screens in games.... So we can't crash on the couch with friends and play on the same tv... the fuck...Seriously do people still have real friends? or is that a thing for old people?
+The Doctor It's obvious why. The consoles aren't powerful enough for it in these games.
+pathg13 That PR Bullshit
RicingGround3 You realize the trouble they went through to try to get a steady 60fps in this game? Trying to play split screen with all the shit going on trying to keep a steady fps would be pretty hard to do. It's not PR, i don't even play Halo, i don't care about it.
pathg13 did you pull that right out of your ass?
pathg13 then use 30 fps when on split screen... people who use it would not care they just want to play with their friends while in the same room.. also if that was the case they would have said it instead of giving us some bullshit excuse that it's hard to get people in the same room... which they pulled right out of their ass..
I remember a time when Halo was about actual Halo's.
Danny Rivas Pepperidge Farm remembers
World Traveler 😂
well in the after credit scene for halo 5 you do see a ring that looks awfully like a halo so i feel like halo 6 will take place on that halo ring
Well in halo 3 you destroyed all the halos as well as the ark then killed the covenants prophets and destroyed the grave mind halo 4's enemy is the people who made halo and halo 5 is about Cortana or sum shit
Huh
I feel like a good story would be if Master Cheif was hunting Locke, a rogue spartan. That would make more sense.
Omega 3370 that’s actually a sick fucken idea
Or if Chief becomes so obsessed with bringing Cortana back that he eventually just loses all sense of right and wrong and does what he needs to to bring her back. That would’ve at least had some pay off at the end.
got to have a token hero though
It's kind of sad how the fans come up with better ideas for the story than the devs themselves lol
Omega 3370 no it wouldn't make sense, why would john hunt lock? I think they should of just made him fo rogue to destroy cortana...not find her and try save her...she is an advanced ai and john knows very well they end up going mad and end up having to get shut down, cortana is no different apart from the fact that it took more time for her to brake
taking away split screen from halo is like; taking off the pepperoni off a pepperoni pizza.

Nope. People still defend microtransactions (including lootboxes).
They were fun when you couldnt buy them
The thing I absolutely hate about this game is that the campaign insists on crappy co-op , taking away SO many possibilities a focused single player could have done. If you go solo on this game, you're stuck with 3 shitty AI companions whether you like it or not.
you don't have to care about them just go on and if you need a revive just restart from the last checkpoint
+chillinhyphy broken rank and req does not make a horrible game man it takes much more

+PenguinHQ mgs 5 so far hasn't been bogged down by micro transactions, they are basicly use less, and they dont impact the main game (so far)

Yes. He saw the future at that time exactly.
So all you didnt like was micro transactions?

Elder Steel four was good let just say it ended there.
Elder Steel what about reach
Sentinel22 that occured before Halo: Combat Evolved (Halo 1)

Sentinel22 Alright, I got what you said.

+majedzowk we should also start a war on all the fucking dumbass poeple who gave their money on micro transaction
In Halo 3, you had to get every achievement to unlock Hyabusa armor. I'm pretty sure that's how unlocking things is supposed to work.
Halo 3 was the last great Halo game damn i miss those times
+GucciBalboa everyone is just angry because they don't want change Locke is a new character we can't play as chief for another 3 games and also playing as Locke form more of the game is to make the series longer and last more
***** Oh yeah that's right. But yeah it was better in the old the games. I'm not lucky and I'm broke.
To obtain all of the customizations in Halo Reach you would have to purchase all armors and attain the Inheritor rank. That takes a minimum of 600 hours if you start grinding from the get go to well over 1000+ hours otherwise. Just throwing that out there...
Great and fair review!
+Bitter Strike! Cartoons
Love your Cartoons, especially that MGS 5 pp vid lol
+Bitter Strike! Cartoons yes it is
+Bitter Strike!

Reach was great, fuck you!
ireallydonyknow halo 4 was my favorite mostly for the memories with my friends
What you said can be taken as hate for reach. Reach is good. Halo 4 is bad. So to be specific... Halo died when bungie left and 343 stepped up. It's obvious that the world of gaming started going into the realm of micro transaction corporate butt fuckery and a totally new company for halo showed up. These 2 factors are why halo sucks dick now. New devs who are retarded who follow corporate shit head trends.
ireallydonyknow same!!!
It annoys me how rng and micro transactions took over gaming.
remember when someone had recon
In Halo 3, I like how one of the most epic armors imo was in a way simple to get: the Hayabusa armor and sword (just by collecting those skulls from many maps). And I still got nostalgia from it lol. And of course the achievements to get the required armor were sick to pull off! Full on nostalgia/happiness every time
+Drugged Scream Not only that, it was possibly the coolest power armor after the classic Halo 2/Halo 3 default Helmet.
Unknown Anonymous Absolutely !!
+Nathan Morroni also i think Halo Reach's armor was the best looking in the entire franchise, and didn't look like a streamlined pile of shit.
+Nathan Morroni Halo Reach leveling to get armor is the best system they did on Halo.
I agree, I loved how as you leveled you could see higher tier armors that were ways off, but you couldnt use or get them yet, it was mysterious. The higher options would become visible as you got high, but you had no idea they existed until then, like Gungnir.
Nathan Morroni gungir armor is sexy armor,to bad i didnt get a chance to buy it since i wasted my points on a black visor
+Nathan Morroni Fun fact with reach, most lore heavy fans were not a big fan of it. It completely ignored Eric Nylunds book The Fall of Reach, bungie greatly ignored the already pre-existing lore which ended pissing off a lot of people.
"343 promises to return to the roots of Halo"
Yet I see no Local Co Op, Local Multiplayer, and Microtransactions. Halo 6 is fucked

It’s odd to me that triple A games have more scummy micro transactions and pay to win aspects then the more underfunded games from small companies
that's because all those big companies care about is making their investors happy. small game companies actually want to make a good game
@@ganon95pulze So true

It’s like these companies are battling to see who can run their IP Into the dirt the most lol
The big companies have shareholders to satisfy and a lack of creativity and motivation to make quality products so they make half assed crap and supplement it with micro transactions.

3. More maps
4. More game modes
5. Preferably without REQs (I don't mind REQs, but a lot of people hate it)
6. A good conclusion
7. They need to make Cortana good again or make like a clone of her with her memories up to Halo 4's ending (idk about this one really)
8. Playable elites
9. Dual Wielding (maybe)
10. Bring back all classic game modes
11. Incredible stuff for doing amazing achievements.
12. Make the campaign like shown in teasers and trailers... (not making the whole campaign mostly about locke)
Note: At first from the teasers, I thought this game would be like halo 2 where it switched to another characters points of view every mission or a campaign where you get to choose which side you want to be on, Team Chief or Team Locke and it would have a different outcome or the same just from their point of view at that time and event.
***** I forgot about playable Elites!!
Everything yes except for dual wielding and playable elites in MP. REQ's are okay, but they better not change it. It's fine as it is.
Signas501 the statistics are called their bank accounts. Cause they don't give a shit about players as long as they make money
@Voltaic Fire I feel your pain haha
Signas501 To this fucking day I am willing to take my ENTIRE XBOX ONE OVER 120 MILES TO PLAY HALO 3 WITH MY DAD (Whom I don’t see often)
@Jacob Orozco no u
No kidding! My sister and my brother are always DUMBFOUNDED at the lack of split screen in most games nowadays.
"diehard fans will be pleased" that's a big fucking lie. The only people pleased are those who don't know better.
So true.
+Suicidal Muffin you say that, but I'm merely asserting that I as a big halo fan, and anyone else who I know who were also fans of halo, were utterly disgusted by 343s Halo games. especially halo 5
Seriously...the more I played Halo 5, the more I hated it; by far the worst Halo game for my money.
Alexander The Insane Mmm assuming everyone has the same opinion.
that art style
It's amazing how little this game delivered. I forgot how bad it was until i rewatched this, just to think i thought about going back to play this as i never bothered completing it the first time round. The things that made Halo great and unique have all gone. I'd of given this game a 4/10
4 and 5 truly aged like milk
+Lennard Church hahahahahahahahaha
@Phillip hanna I have never really been following COD, the latest I've played was Black Ops 3. What's your favourite COD?
If there's one thing Halo 4 did better than the previous games whether or not you liked the game, it's that they build up Chief's and Cortana's chemistry more than the previous games.
Lol wait until 5 becomes nostalgic
Halo 4 was terrible too, Halo died when Bungie left.
req system is shit, i wanna EARN my gear not get it by luck..
+Kawasaki Rider Some gear is earned from fully completing some Commendations I think.
Lol i hooped on Halo 3 for the first time in years a while back on a new account and i looked at a "hacked" picture and got recon and hayabusa instantly. "Earn"
+PrepareForRekt they gave them out to everyone im pretty sure
So if they gave them to everybody how are people saying theyre earned?
+PrepareForRekt because the halo 3 armors were earned...but at one point towards the end, bungie gave everyone the armors..
I'm surprised joe praised the graphics and wild life. Reach pinned that right on the bullseye. They changed how everything looks in 4 and 5 in a bad way in my opinion.
Power ranger looking ass spartans.
Graphics look like 🔥🗑 to me
The graphics DO look amazing though whether or not you dislike the art style.
@@gu3z185LMAO "they fixed the graphics in infinite" WHEN ITS LIGHTING LOOKS UNFINISHED 😂
Battlefront only Has split screen in survival mode nothing special
Udoby Break No problem
It's four hours? What is this Halo ODST? I hope the multiplayer is alright. Not that I will be buying an Xbone any time soon. Also wtf that animation.
love your videos man!
+Kilian ily
+Kilian Experience plz defend this poor defenseless 343 industries in next video kilian!
Nick Savage story wise, halo 4 takes the cake
Harry Sheldon I get that.
The excuses for no split screen were truly spectacular! The wording and points couldn't be worse lol
Indya Bailey They're great and there's more on the way. Look at ReCore, Scalebound, etc. I own an XBox One so I know what I'm talking about.
I agree Wars, ODST, and Reach were the last good Halo games
There are a lot of other good games on the Xbox, Halo isn't the only game on there.
Worst companies in the gaming industry
EA
Ubisoft
Microsoft
Activision
343
Add Sony has well
tgr101 Nah Bethesda is fine they are just not good at making non buggy games, Skyrim and Fallout 3 and 4 are still great games
Sony, 2K
Konami. Don't forget Konami. Fuck Konami.
AncientrobotSatan Type 2.1 Oh of course! How could I forget Konami
I sense troll or at least I hope I do haha
Sony Nguyen yea I do miss actually unlocking things
"See you in 2018 for Halo 6: Requiem".
Well, that didn't happen. But maybe it's for the best.
For me, Halo ended when Halo 4 ended.
No infinite :(
Ended on halo 3*
@@tonyiommi2380 nah, Reach and ODST were great as well. And Halo 4 was at least passable. Halo 5 however completely ruined the franchise.
@@xavdeman I meant chronologicaly. Reach and odst were great but both take place before halo 3 prior to 2552. So, it ends on halo 3
Famboyism is killing gaming. Blind gamers praising bullshit from previously loved franchises. Making Developers think the bullshit is what people like, and to keep chugging it out.
And it's people who are never satisfied who are killing gaming. Look in the mirror once in a while.
I have always loved the halo games since halo 1 but halo 5 is going backwards so fast.
+Doddery feline unlike you that's satisfied with paying premium price for mediocrity I gather?
+Awaken the Evil 14:47-15:01 AJ thinks the same too.
I hated the campaign. Worst halo story ever.
Apibapi Daorda Im mainly upset with team osiris like who tf are they? Where did they come from? I really don't wanna have to rely on off game sources just to find out what's going on in the game...just terrible
Don't you love fucking nobodies?
Apibapi Daorda 100% agree. Halo 3 was the best in my opinion.
Apibapi Daorda in my opinion, ODST was.
+Alejandro Mer I already skipped Halo 5, and will be heading into Fallout 4 on day 1! :D
I think with the amount of people that bought halo u might be wrong on that ....people are still playing mcc so don't know where u get that from
Check the the. Halo 4 community has grow since the realease of halo 5 lol
Stop hating brah the game is successful that's just the fact and it's a good game even with it flaws which it does have but the most important thing Is it's fun and that's what gaming Is about if this was killzone or the order 1886 i bet u wouldn't hear half of the hate
Yeah no fit every body is gonna flock to fallout 4 I won't
11:20 "Five years... Five long years... that's how long it took us-"
I left after Halo Reach. Halo Reach is easily the funnest Halo for me. Forge was the best.
I hated reach coming from Halo 3, but id play reach over 4 and 5 any day.
So... now kids defend microtransactions?.... I never liked kids
They smell
Do you know anything about how these microtransactions work, may I ask?
+Lemur Dawid all we need to know is that it sucks that is all :)
Avatar Of Loneliness That's subjective.
+El Reino de Andor To quote Wayne's World "Kids don't know dick"
Halo 5 was the first Halo game I didn't buy on release day, or at all for that matter.
+Drek McMeme You should if you want awesome multiplayer. Most balanced and robust mechanics of any other halo.
Assass1n Productions I tried the beta and didn't really like it, doesn't feel like Halo.
+Drek McMeme then you obviously didnt play the right beta xD
MYTHICALTWINKIE It really didn't feel like Halo to me, even Halo 4's multiplayer was much different than 5's. I didn't like either Halo's multiplayer, but 5 was good I just didn't like it.
+Assass1n Productions No it is not the most balanced multiplayer from Halo.
This game is a huge disappointment. If they mess up Infinite, I’ll probably never play Halo again.
Same. I'm giving 343 one last chance. I don't care how good the gameplay is. If the story is shit then it's all over.
Ohhh it’ll be bad buddy. Try halo that smoked crack, and that crack was fort nite
Have you seen e3 and the multiplayer vidoc, I think halo infinite is going into a good direction
As a Halo fan, I'm glad I'm skipping Halo 5
The multiplayer is great. But the campaign kinda sucks.
+akirajotaro Looks like you're not a Halo fan then.
+Menacing Threat I only ever played Halo for the story, never really played multiplayer unless it's with friends or family, but I can't ever do that anymore because there's no split screen
***** Most Halo fans love the MP over SP and the MP is amazing in Halo 5.
+akirajotaro Halo 4 was incredibly written, although I thought Halo 5 was still a good narrative yarn. I think you're missing out, especially since Halo 5 really adds to the lore, characters, and the universe.
I think I'm done with Halo, with the broken unbalanced multiplayer of this game and dumb story I quit.
+Hakim Elgabi Not really, plays just fine to me, are blaming the game cause you don't play multiplayer that well?
Gremade spam is in just about any major fps shooter o-o that' not the game's fault it's how people play...well I can't force you to like a game as it is your opinion and your decision on whether you hate the game or not, I only responded to this video due to how biased the review was.
+Hakim Elgabi What do you mean unbalanced? It's completely balanced like the first three Halo games, with same weapon spawns and same abilities and such. If you suck at teamwork and knowing map layout with power weapons, of course you'd complain.
+Charlie Martinez I think he means that you can just spend some $$$ and get a bunch of tanks and mechs.
Connor Mackenzie That's Warzone though, there is also arena where it sticks to the generic Halo formula..
Exactly!
+Earl Agustines You would get rekted playing at 30 to 25 FPS on mutiplayer... Just saying... Campai is a different story
Rekted
They could have just scaled the game down to 900p :/
they have blue ray now, there's no excuse,
just bullshit
Hellno: Removes Split screen, increases MICROTRANSACTION amount, makes limited uses of "UNLOCKABLES."
Halo makes unlockables, unusables without MICROTRANSACTIONS.
+K- dental halo 5 is actually the best one I've played
+adam johnson just stop, that opinion is invalid. You've never played halo 2.
343 are just a bunch of liars that's it
the game looked to be huge but in truth , it has nothing
they are not lazy
they are juste so bad
they don't know how to make a game and especially a halo game ...
you can see it : halo 4 a total garbage in multiplayer
mcc is broken (even a remaster game they can fail it...)
sprtan assault and strike have nothing to offer (imo)
and halo5 could have been the best halo but they failed as always . 3 years for this shit wtf
hunt the truth had a better story than the game :')
halo is dead
we can cry and hate 343 for what they did
i had faith in 343 really, but they are not good devs at all
Yann Soulet halo 4 came out 3 fucking years ago halo 5 is much much better
Halo died with Reach.
#RememberReach
+Jack St john Honestly, I say Halo died with number 4. 4 imo was okay, but nothing too great yet not too bad either. It was 343's first attempt at a Halo game, so I was willing to cut them some slack. However, when the MCC first launched and had a ton of problems, that's when I said "Yup, Halo is officially dead".
+AmericanBuizel Halo is dead for MP issues? How does a remaster, make a series dead? If anything, if 343 fucks up on Halo 6, then its dead.
+Zero3068 When the franchise title that pretty much made xbox what it is today can't ship a game that works I think it is safe to say such a thing.
Evan White its a remaster, I could see that you care about it more, but it doesn't change the fact that it remasters, which don't matter to me at all.
+Zero3068 I don't think you understand. The game didn't work. I'm pretty sure that should matter to you.
All my favorite games are dying and becoming complete crap.... Halo, Cod, A.Creed, whats next...
Cod was always crap after the second mwf
only played halo on a friends xbox but i never really played it but ik how you feel about AC...after ac4 it went to shit and ac4 was mosty a pirate game but at least acs is ok
Havent played the new AC just saw gameplay. Looks like an arcade game now days...
what needs to happen is new ideas need to be made into a fun balanced game made by developers who care about their fans and what they think, the story needs to be strong and very enjoyable while the multiplayer must be unique with lots of things like new items/maps regularly and challenges to bring you back every day.
Sadly this is unlikely to happen anytime soon
Chosenhunter7 next it will be yur favourite movie franchises :)
I remember raging when I got home after buying this and realized there was no split screen.
That ruined Christmas for me and my friend bruh after we bought it with the intent to couch co op the campaign
