I fully expected that we’d get a Deja Vu remix that plays during the time traveling sections. Such a missed opportunity and I’m extra sad because it was my favorite track in the original game :(

My favorite rendition of this meme is in regards to the intro song from NTWEWY, with Shoka singing "Oh, oh, the rhythm's gonna set me free! Hey, baby, move your body, shake it on this battleground!" Only to then get sang over by Shiba singing *"BREAK THE SILENCE REGAIN YOURSELF WE'RE LOSING YOU WE'RE LOSING Y-"*
I feel attacked for thinking twister is og twewus best song now- THAT BEING SAID neo has so many amazing new tracks. Bird in the hand, insomnia, shibuya survivor and of course. WORLD IS YOURS
literally also my biggest disappointment 😭 this song is already fire but it deserves a killer remix too. but in fairness some songs are very much anthems for certain characters who didn’t have the same presence in this game as they did in the first (long dream for shiki, tatakai for beat, game over for hanekoma who wasn’t even here at all), and in the same vein, i associate this song with joshua, and neku’s gradual recovery of his memories of him). seeing as this wasn’t a relevant plot point in this game, maybe they just didn’t think there was a good place to put it. (but they included jump over yourself which is also a beat family angst song smh)
While I was sad about the lack of Deja vú and Long Dream, the selection for remixed song was still neat and the new tracks are good as well. Also, I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that I heard It's So Wonderful on a scene at end of the game...
Deja Vu is sort of a sleeper hit to me but then again neo's tracks were all like that. Like ussually I'm not into that style of music but I think Deja Vu does something with it's lyrics and its 1 - 2 repeat pattern that is fucking magical. Though, my favorites are still the but rock songs. The One Star (It finally got a remix!!!), Transformation, World is Yours and Breaking Free. Though I gotta say, Emptiness And is one of my favorite songs from the original. So badass it deserved a spot too.
The question is not "why is 3 minutes clapping here?" (it's one of the best songs from the original IMO). The question is "why did they *ruin* 3 minutes clapping here?!" Seriously, the original's got a pretty good beat, the lyrics are pretty great, it's a bop, honestly. But the new version is completely all over the place and the lyrics are done in a way that feels like it's tripping over itself. :(
My only issue is that songs like the one star and march on made it in before songs like deja vu and long dream. I mean the game uses time travel as a central mechanic yet doesn't it doesn't include a song called Deja Vu
I mean the songs don’t correlate to the situation of what the characters are confronting. Long Dream feels more like what Neku is feeling throughout the reapers game
I mean twister is mandatory, tho. But lack of deja vu and emptiness is a bit disappointing.

deja vu was so iconic to me, it's THE track I think of when I imagine Neku and whoever else wandering around Shibuya
