There was a prophecy I was born into, torn between the Gypsy in me and the 1/2 breed. Some said I was the chosen one, what tripe. The others said I was the born sacrifice, and they had all intentions of making sure to answer to that age old voice. I told them both the wind and the trees have voices too, some good some bad, yet what if we all knew just this much- that (no 'fense now) if the deities wanted to test who is who, perhaps god and the devil would trade places and see who would follow. That's life, often a hard lesson, love forgives yet some they die inside themselves. That she had been tricked by her own greed for an "artist's Master identity", was something worth more than love of 28 years, love of son and all that stains is often cherry and good, I saved her life, twice as when I met her the first time, she was going into a van to party - no windows, and I knew this crew so I said uh-uh, they were 5 maybe 6, rapping it up about a "Crisco Party" and I threw an office chair at their open van door; made a fuss before she could be enticed too close, she was not so innocent as she was wanting to make friends. I told her then baby, it ain't pretzel logic if'n it comes from a long salty stick. She wanted a date, I was not game. I have a type, she turned me open, gotta an acquired taste now for the happy Amazon, haha, then I go up Mt. Diablo, Sabrina, I climb up all over Rock City no ropes, sometimes smoking my various pot pipes, uh-huh, shared some with many a climber, we all like to go stoned spider on the rock, none of us fall, 'cept up the sky, where I caught my eye on a jagged cloud, and I was 1/2 way down a sheer 180, dead drop, about 100 feet down into spiky stone... and then she comes, no not that silly, that was way later after she admitted she was trippin' so she could tell me she already shared some, hah, spiked my tea, and here, she had me at "heeeeelllllppppp!!!!" lotsa screaming and something about gonna die only sorry baby not today, I see this long legged beautiful blonde Amazon goddess, just a trigger happy hot mess, all sharp edges and smooth legs, I was hypnotized just thought maybe she was on drugs. She was. S'ok though, she shared. Hah! Gotta love it, dare to care all we can bear to bare, do bears not know they naked? No matter, she slid down the rock like a rag doll, & I caught her by a beltloop with 3 fingers, (blues jean cutoffs, thank goodness, well made, and what legs, all just a moment, cherish moments) and from then on, though I tried to break up a few times early in, before she became too used to me, that one- a force of nature, and again I felt like if 007 and Indiana Jones had a few crossed relatives, and we were somehow uhhh, not destined. The stars saw fate and it became way too late to deny. Took the haters almost 30 years, she tells me she will always love me, even after all horizons have become only a blue tint under her soul. Then came the demons, she had fought so hard to beat them and like that- whoosh, I lost my most beloved and my son and I carry on as we travel though myself mostly alone. I wanted to become as ordinary as possible, yet instead, life decided that there would be a task for me. I would be drawn upon 50 countries and into the world of humanity at large. Didn't see it coming. Felt good though. Thus, I am the 1/2 breed Chief, the Gypsy wanderer... and often it is the storms inside that save me from the riptides, I live in a tsunami zone, and here I ride the fringes.... one true tale in only a shade of code, I had some fun to scribble it out while I was riding.
