Berwick is my home town and although the main town centre is rubbish the outside areas is lovely. Hope you enjoy your time there and in the borders. Great vlogs
Thank you Steve and Lorna for making this great video. Before I forget, the way to pronounce Alnwick is with a silent L and W like the name Ann plus ick. I stumbled across two lovely people making a video of the place I was born and later returned to live for a number of years and where I started a family. I have many happy memories that flooded back. Your videoing, editing, choice of music and above all your manner are commendable. The least I can do is to subscribe and thank you both. Keep up the good work and happy travelling. 🍺🍷😊
Thank you graham really appreciate your kind words, I also thank you for the pronunciation we did get very confused lol, glad it bought back happy memories and thanks for the sub and welcome to our little community.. safe travels 🙏👍👊🚌
We love Northumberland, it really is beautiful, and Lindisfarne is no exception, although it does get busy. You did a lot in that one day so Lindisfarne was probably much more relaxing. We really need to get back to Northumberland.
It is a great county isn’t it Helen, was a busy couple of days, but well worth it, looking forward to spending more time exploring Northumberland, hope you had a good bank holiday, we hid lol, off grid tests are going well, so maybe some wildcamping soon.. take care 🙏👊👍🚌🥰
Charming place with it’s military history. Beautiful stretch of beach - brilliant day out. Amazing scenery and ruins. I thought I recognised that castle and caught your note regarding various films using this location. Love the UK for it’s rich history and pubs etc. Great mix of audio, music, use of graphics and informative inserts. Very watchable content. I wanted to say the idea of running two vehicles I was initially skeptical but now it makes perfect sense. Brilliant idea that was. With fuel prices being what they are. Also taking your time too means you’re not at risk of decision fatigue.
Decision fatigue lol, I’ve not heard that before, but your right. The car allows us the freedom to have a bigger living space, and is way cheaper to run, we loved our time in Northumberland and can’t wait to return, currently in Lancashire working our way down south. Thanks for your support and safe travels 🙏🚌👊👍
@@wanderingbychoice decision fatigue is a real thing often experienced by those who are constantly on the move because the budget isn’t there for paying for park ups all of the time and sometimes where it’s free to park it’s either full or not particularly ideal - so they’re driving around looking for a safe spot in their vans looking for places to sleep at night time - prevalent to those who stealth camp in the cities. Or who are only staying at places for shorter periods of time. Vanlifers who experience decision fatigue need time to decompress and will find an air b&b or return to “base camp” aka home/ or similar to just take a break for a bit before hitting the road again. You folks are able to stay in one place for longer periods of time which is ideal. Have a fab time in Lancashire (it’s where my Dad was originally from)

How do Steve and Lorna and Chancer. This video brought back many memories for me. Before I lost my mum, we went to Northumberland for several weeks in our big motorhome Bessie bessacar. We literally went to every place that you videoed and featured on this video. Up to now, I found it very painful to have memories like this and indeed, its the reason I sold the motorhome as I couldnt bear to be in her any more. However, I watched this video with a huge smile on my face. Its the first time I was reminded of old memories without being triggered and they filled me with joy and not sadness. As you know, I've got Viv-i-van and not used her very much yet, but you have inspired me now to revist places I took my mum when I was a carer and "reclaim" them for myself and make new memories. Thank you so much for the video. I loved it. If this comment waffled on too much please feel free to delete it but my words are genuine and I'm glad to have got to know you guys and your channel.
