Every time I hear these guys mention or reference the kick off I get flashbacks to some interview Rory did, it might have been the kick off Christmas podcast, and he was basically saying about how Brian saved his life from falling apart. Its a shame because these guys are entertaining and as a group I like watching them but there's always this uncomfortable vibe underneath. I know we don't know everything that happened but from what we do know and from how they all react when its brought up, it does genuinely look like Brian got fucked over by his friends. He is flawed but I think he deserved better than this. Their smiles and smirks when talking about it I find really unsettling.
It just sucks.

I don’t feel bad for him as the Kick Off is in a decent place again, and he made a joke that put the rest of these lads (particularly Adam) in a really uncomfortable position. Brian isn’t a stranger to controversy or putting his foot in his mouth either as evidenced by his recent tirade about Klopp.
I think if it wasn’t what happened with the Muslim comment it would have been something else.

It’s worth nothing they didn’t leave because of the “joke” per se, they left because the Muslim joke caused loss of sponsorship, which subsequently caused less funding for the show which meant Brian was unable to pay them the amount they deserve. Having said that, I do think the smirking and joking is relatively snaky, and weird behaviour from three adults.

The Football Ramble is the best football podcast out there. They don't fake horrendous opinions and HeAtEd DeBaTeS for clicks and engagement like most on UA-cam. Just good football chat and banter

True Geordie is still a bit of a freak and pretty much definitely racist. His current podcasts revolve around inane conspiracy theorist garbage, and his general way of being is so gross. He looks like he smells bad.
To that end, putting him in decent is giving him his flowers. His content sucks now, there's got to be balance. Or are you still convinced United are playing like it's 98?
Not to mention, McKenna is so genuinely unlikeable. The worst thing is when football podcasters get really horridly clingy to writing fanfiction about the teams and players, and going on about how big and strong the men are... Just very very creepy. All I want to see is three men argue with each other (to the point of yelling, often) about football related topics, but not to the point where people just won't hear the other side. That's why I watch the club and not TKO

The Kick Off nowadays has dropped in quality by a lot. That new guy Josh is nowhere near as interesting as the guys on The Club.
The kick off when it had Laurence and Rory and Hugh Wizzy was the peak of this type of content. While I agree The Kick Off has dclined it does leave a sour taste that these guys have put it in decent and then copied the show exactly and gave themselves the best I can't lie lol.
I think Mark Goldbridge deserves to be given a rating with both his channels united stand and that's football, as well as united view and redmentv....surprised you guys didn't include them

They were the first but honestly I find Poet so unlikeable and annoying it's hard to give him flowers. I genuinely think Geordie and Lawrence were the ones to truly put this scene in the mainstream.

I don’t know about you all, but all 3 of these guys come across as very ungrateful and very bitter about TKO. Before TKO Rory was the face of Chelsea Fans Channel which basically became defunct, Adam was the face of The Full Time Devils which became defunct, and Buvey was part of a group of channels, almost all of which now are defunct. TKO gave them all a platform that allowed them to be what they are today and without it they’d all probably be nowhere right now. I find their attitude towards the show completely disrespectful, maybe something else went on behind the scenes but from my perspective it’s basically they all tried to make it, they all failed in different ways, Brian allowed them on his show, they became popular, and then the second Brian lands in controversy (because of a joke made about Andrew fucking Tate btw) they all jump ship to a rival’s studio while he’s suspended, make their own show, and then use that show to slag off the quality of the show that made them what they are. I mean Rory loves to throw around referring to people as Judas Iscariot, I can see why…
Not to mention their show is a replica of the TKO as well. Like their studio set up resembles Brian’s and even their logo and name “The Kick Off” / “The Club Live” it’s not a carbon copy but it’s very similar to

Pitchside has potential, I feel like if they got a better addition instead of Tom garret you would see different sides of the other original guys.. Tom kinda changed everyone’s attitude in a negative direction from the jump of him joining- however they could have had an opposite turnout if there new person was someone else. I don’t claim to know exactly who but thats what i noticed ever since the start. Reeve and Theo are likeable, they just needed a different co star and the chemistry would have been… maybe not amazing but more ideal

The Kick Off went downhill once Hughwizzy left. Once it was TG , Laurence and these 3, it fell off massively and for me,that was because TG,Adam and Rory diverted from football too much and it became too laddish.
The Club started off well and now its gone the same way. You watch a watchalong and they just start singing and talking about any old crap.

I don't think this is something you should do. Regardless of any previous relationships, critising/ranking others who work alongside you in the same space is not professional in a public forum. You can let viewers/listeners talk about that but this is something you should be above, all it does is potentially open a can of worms. You also are likely not in a position to give any kind of full opinion as it is doubtful you watch your peers consistently and most of what you experience will be in short form versions or clips. It's just not the thing to do.
Whilst I agree that ball knowledge is very low on The Club, it's still entertaining. If you want ball knowledge you want Tifo/ Athletic or James Lawrence Allcott

Pretty much, if you're watching these guys for football knowledge you're in the wrong place, especially anything unbiased as they all Stan their clubs like crazy, but they're all enjoyable to listen to talking

I actually don't like how the kick off is structurd. They have 'topics' to talk about during the match but outside of a brief reaction to a goal or incident they prioritise talking about the topic over talking about the game. I remember having to listen to a 20 min convo about a Spurs documentary just as a Liverpool game was reaching FT...and they carried on talking about Spurs for another 10 mins.

I’ve been following both a kick off and the club, and I personally have to say the kick off gets progressively better in terms of chemistry and debate while club has stayed stagnant.
I don’t want to get in the weeds about “oh well X factor contributed to Y so now Z or A etc..” all I want to say is I have been following both, and whoever is managing the Kick Off is doing an amazing job. The conversations on the kick off are as or about as natural as it was 1.5 years ago. It is so much better than 9 months ago it’s not even funny. It was “decent” around 9-6 months ago, but imo it is now “elite” or one of the best.
The chemistry also continues to improve every time on the kick off because the guests know they won’t be shown the door because of an opinion, but they know they’ll only get shown the door if they are puppet like. I think that’s why Craig is been such a regular guest, not many people like his opinions, but he says what he means.
The difference between the kick off and almost every other football podcast is that you’re listening to what seems like friends at a bar having a conversation about football. Other podcasts it seems like you’re listening to puppets discussing opinions that they’re paid to say. I think in another year you’ll see the kick off surpass the club. They are basically already equal on viewership, and in my personal opinion have created a way better podcast.

Man Kick off is much better than The club. The guest TKO have a lot more knowledge and can give interesting views.
Rorys views and takes are utterly disastrous at times and gives the same old boring stories where he can name drop.
Adam crys like a 2 year old thats drops their sweets when someone disagrees with him and does that really annoying screw face.
Buvy basically says the same thing every episode.
