We are from Fresno, but, moved out of state over a decade ago. We live in WI now, we have 80 acres and live in a 90 yr. old farmhouse. I'm new at gardening and I have 8 huge flower gardens, you have to go big in the country. I have a lg. collection of antique farm items that I use as decorations & as planters. I spend a fortune of flowers/plants, but, I always find more neat old items to use as containers and always have to buy more flowers! There goes all my money! LOL! But it's so pretty and I love all my gardens. So glad to be out of CA. I was raised there.

If you like the look of your planters, just clear coat them with krylon for exterior use. I used to do that each year.
Love how the grass plant looks with the purple flowers. I’ve always stayed away from grasses but you put it together so so pretty, I might try and make one.
A spring porch refresh always feels so good! We have an exciting project starting - a new wood framed carport in the front of the house and a patio cover in the backyard. We've just had ugly metal ones that were built with the house years ago so this will be a major upgrade. Looking forward to new spaces to decorate and add plants!

I always gravitate toward the purple flowers too. Loving the mix with the grasses. I don’t p”ant flowers until May when there is less chance of frost.

Your purple flowers look like Jonny jump ups. They are very hardy, spread easily and will grow pretty much anywhere 💜

The purple plants are violas - smaller version of pansies. They do well in Spring but don’t take the heat. I enjoy your videos.

Frogs shouldn't be touched by human hands. You should use latex or vinyl gloves to be safe for their skin. 😊
