Just got a '16 IS 300 F Sport and love it so far! That engine sound is so nice - video doesn't do it justice honestly.
It's definitely enough power. I think the power difference between this and the 350 is going to mainly be at the top end. Still, it is fun to rev it out. :)

I ended up buying an IS350 three years ago because of this video
I ended up getting a 2019 last year when they were on clearance, and it was partially due to this video and the nighttime drives he did with it. AWD F-Sport for maximum traction in Canadian winter's, and it can hit 100kmh (60mph) from 1st to 2nd in the same time.

I would personally not want to own something like a Lambo. It seems like a pain to deal with and you’re a target everywhere you go.
Right now for me, my dream car is a Lexus IS500 and will switch out the exhaust system so i can hear my V8 purr.
Can you do a 2017 Lexus is350 f sport the exact same way as this one! With a night drive in the hotel parking lot like this one...a separate walk around.. With a color of black or with blue thank you 😊

They are priced similarly as far as I know, so are worth considering aginst one another.
This one is good, consider about "after sale services" if the dealership providing good service to the customer

Basil Tab -fisheye lens distortion. It happens in most action cameras with wide angle or fisheye lens.

I really like this car. It feels special to sit in & drive, effortless power & luxury features.
The only things I'm not sure about is the front grille (still on thr fence on the design) and the relatively low fuel economy.
Fuel economy is low because it is a v6 also has a turbo. Cant expect a sport car to be good on gas. The milage it gets actually good. I own a f sport is 350 car worth every penny

My 2014 is250 awd does that whine too. My mechanic friend says it might be the rear differential but I don't know because alot of Lexus forums says it's normal

+nlru I think the sound of the engine is piped into the cabin, but I could be wrong, cause I know that the GS350 does that.

theres a tube that helps bring the sound in the cabin at a certain rpm range. i guess you can say it's real.

I know this engine doesn't have a supercharger, but why do I hear a supercharger whine when the volume is turned up? Also, this engine sounds seriously pissed when revved to the redline, supercharger whine and all.

That engine whine has been been around since 2006. Its completely normal, something to do with the direct injection in the car.

It's a naturally aspirated fuel injected 3.5 Liter V6 my brother has a gs350 which has the same engine and yeah it sounds pretty mean for a V6
so people can actually buy their F performance part from the dealership? like there intake, exhaust, an suspension.
hmmmm, not sure if i'm a fan of that interior. Certainly the center console, looks too blocky for my taste. Makes it look a bit dated imo

I got the same car it's a good daily driver not the fastest but it does best the Hondas lol. and it is so manly I am always the youngest one at the dealer when I go for service. usually it's old retired people in Lexus cars I am 22
danny mostly because Lexus used to make very "boring" cars but were comfortable and reliable now ever since the lfa they decided they would try and make more "driver" cars

I do love Lexus as whole but... it is ridiculous that all their automatics whine a lot, you can hear it at any revs, it is almost like u have a mechanical supercharger lurking beneath the bonnet
I believe thats the sound from the torque converter ? Could be wrong too but i have heard several auto trans making the same sound at high rpm but not the ones with a dual clutch.
I waited for this car forever. Great car actually but you do lose a lot of stuff getting the AWD version (sadly). Namely, the adaptive suspension and 8spd auto disappears if you check the AWD option box.
P.S. if you wanted to save $ and get the IS250 instead, I strongly ask you to reconsider. Yes the car is mostly the same, but the small V6 is both thirsty and underpowered. For the same $, get the ES350 sitting across from it in the showroom.
you forgot to mention that the 250 will be discontinued and be replaced by the 200t soon

IS200t will probably a much better drive (lighter & more power), but RWD only means it probably will have limited appeal here in the North.
EDIT: Well, the IS300 AWD will surely be a better powerplant with the added heft of the AWD system.

Still that AWD 6spd only affair is sad really. The ATS will be getting a new V6 with ~335hp and a 8spd automatic next year. If Lexus offered the IS350 AWD with an 8speeder there would be one on my driveway already.

Is it just me or does anyone else hear that "whine" like sound of this car in particular?
I hear it as well.
The pitch of the whine changes with engine revs. So it has something to do with the engine.
From what I have heard, it's the fuel pump. Other cars, for instance the GS 350, with this same engine have that feature. Probably more noticeable on this one due to the sound generator.

There's actually been a lot of discussion what the root cause of the noise is... no one seems to agree. Could be the transmission too. Now that I have looked around more, people have suggested a lot of different stuff, including timing chain, fuel pump, transmission, ... The point is, it's not a bad noise. It is normal.
