Watched this breath taking number live last Sunday in the International Cup Abbotsford prior the Grand Prix. The performance was even better than this one and was awarded full mark by the judges and no drop.
Line Tollefsen One thing about this number that separates from the rest is that the rest are all twirling with some dance or acro added in. This performance is so dance oriented and twirling is only part of the choreography and made them look so easy.
paullam292 This preformance really makes a point of having the baton as a prolongation of the body. Its not a separate piece or equipment on the floor, the baton is something thats a part of making the routine exelent. Personaly I love the part where the baton flows from one athlete to the next. Its soft, clever and a powerful effect.
+Line Tollefsen Yeah, that is excellent description. I am a dance dad so I watched them in dance perspective. if they did it without a baton, it is still a good dance. The way that the girl did a walk over and front aerial is already difficult without a baton. She did it so gracefully. Another point we can see is the technique of the whole team is so even. For most of the teams, you know they will highlight a couple of better twirlers (especially the US team) to do some stand out solos with the rest at the background, I did not see that in this routine. This is a "whole" and complete package.
One of the most beautiful teams I have ever seen...goosebumps every time
beautiful
Zo jammer dat er niet meer belangstelling is voor deze mooie topsport, want zo mag je het wel noemen !
