If you're wondering why I didn't use the MPC (or MPC beats) software. Those DAW's don't support VST3 yet... Anyways, I hope you enjoy the video! I got more stuff coming! Thanks for the support!
@@vinchenzofedele7869 if your talking about VSTs nowadays they are most likely in the format "Version 2.4" without mentioning it. VST3 is just the newest version of the VST format with some improvements. The new format is out for quite some time now but some DAWs still don't support it just because they are slow in adapting to it. If you buy a VST in 2020 you normally get VST (2.4) and VST3 versions of it. Best regards.
I love reason! When I got kicked out of middle school and got sent to an alternative school, the music teacher there had reason 6 on his laptop and he taught me the basics and that shit hooked me in. Reason really feels like youre touching and patching hardware without having hardware. Shoutsout to Mr. Rucker wherever you are, schools need more Mr. Rucker’s.
@@AveMcree Very true! The SSL style mixer wasn't even added till about Reason 5, if I'm not mistaken. I know it was sometime between 3-5. Reason really got a breath of fresh air when they allowed vst's to be used w/in Reason. Reason has changed big time, for the better imo.
Reason is very solid in the sound design department. It can compete with a lot of other plugin companies in terms of quality of its sounds. They do have backwards marketing when it comes to their DAW overall. Making their plugin version VST 3 but not offering VST 3 within the actual DAW was bassakwards in my opinion. But they can make good sounds and at one point they were fairly innovative with their instruments.
I just switched from Reason 11 to FL studio 20 and I'm having a blast... Best of both worlds ...Reason rack with FL work flow has been a game changer for me!
You just made me make my decision to buy this! Thanks again. I was wildly on the fence about the reason rack plug in but this extra $99 for this synth and the rack chains you can create in the plug in track channel sold me.
Reason killed it with Friktion. I think every producer using Reason is putting Friktion to the test right now. I had to make a demo track and share it so people could hear the realness for themselves.
For more presets click on "folder" icon near the preset name. Browser will open on the left with couple of folders of presets for "Friktion". Same for every instrument/effect in Reason. Lots of fun to discover. And also press "Tab" button on your keyboard😉
Reason is amazing as a plug-in. I’ve been using it as well as Ableton since 1.0. I never was able to get into its workflow as a DAW even though I loved its modular capabilities. Now I have the best of both worlds as a VST. One of the best things about reason is most of the synths are light on the cpu,and since I’m using a 10 year old Mac Pro tower that’s important.lol
Been on that reason since 2.whoa. Also I’m a former trombone player so violin playing is dope af. No one should get at ya for that. Reason 11 Ableton 10 suite Roland cloud Atruria CMI fairlight V The free u-he plugins Spitfire (amazing violin sounds btw) Synth master. All of them lol And serum. Weapons of choice to quote bootsy and fatboy slim. Boom.
Been using reason since 1.5 myself. Started with FL studios and haven't looked back since I made the switch. Always watch ur channels. Love what u do. Keep up the great work. Hopefully u like what reason offers.
I am not a musician by any means but you have not even scratched the surface of what Reason can do. It can be very mind blowing in comparison to other daws that are mainly focused on composing like ableton or fl studio. Keep working with it and it will grow on you quickly so says this non music making guy.
I love the look (sound) of this. I have Spitfire BBC Symphony Core. I use Reason and a few other DAWs, and I'm interested in this, but unsure if I should have both.
It appears as if it offers more effects than actual instruments. Regardless, it is enough of a win to make upgrading to the rack version of Reason a guaranteed decision! Thanks for showing us that Friktion works with other instruments and effects inside Reason. Clearly it will do the same beyond Reason! 🎯💯🤯🏆🔥🙌🏾
Reason come a long ways since 4.0 ,I like the current workflow and the scales and chords player is 🔥 I'm running the light version of reason I need to get the intro version though and stop playin
I love Reason and despite having other DAWs now (S1, Live, FL) i would still call it my main DAW because i own it since V3. Friktion sounds great. i'm gonna buy it at some point in the future but actually i have a little "hardware run" looool
Remember I used to use reason 3 at Trucks crib before you started telling me about FL (Fruity Loops back then). I actually hated that shit... but I got it free so I used it
Yeah I got the reason rack for free from plugin bouquet its alright I haven't really had time to dig deep into it tho so thanks for giving this review it saves me time now that I see what is possible inside of the rack I'll make sure to check it out also reason was giving away a free waves composer plugin recently I got it from a coupon code from reason I have only the free reason rack and had to setup a account then this month they sent out emails for that free waves composer so yes reason doing positive things much appreciated 🙏🏾🔥🙏🏾👍🏽
”You don’t get a lot in terms of different sounds” It only seems you’re browsing with arrow buttons. You know that you can press the folder button and browse the subfolders and all the combinator patches right?
I’m waiting for a sale or something, $249 for the upgrade to 11 is expensive, but the way I see it I think that the whole reason ecosystem will blow omnisphere out of the water
Ave Mcree don’t tell me about it, between native instruments komplete and ableton suite I think those have been my most expensive purchases software wise, but Akai dropping mpc Beats is going to upset the game
A fair subjective review, I'm a reason 11 user but have tried lots of other daws, my faves are logic pro and reason they just seem to pull me back every time.
I think the rack extension sales are their bread and butter. That’s why they’ve been slow on adding sequencing features I think. But what it does have it gets the job done
I have Ableton live 9 suite and Reason 11 suite.. I know it's the unpopular opinion, but I don't like Ableton Live workflow at all. I much prefer Reason Studio's in every way.
So DJ ave is a professional violinist lol do you shave only 1 side of your bread that you hold the violin under when playing the violin? I'm joking around I got jokes lol to keep from damaging the violin with those whisker lol jk I won't be playing the violin I'm breaded up a lot lol

what is the difference between VSTs and VST3?
Blue cats audio patchwork will get you around that.
bruh luv ur videos check out my latest Project Eminem vs Trump mix from Cypher Freestyle on my channel 🔥 Stay Safe ✌️♥️

Tbh, it grew on me FAST. Probably because it focused on sound designing vs composition. Probably why the VST plugin version really suits this DAW
the beat on point my dude! super fire!
Remember I used to use reason 3 at Trucks crib before you started telling me about FL (Fruity Loops back then). I actually hated that shit... but I got it free so I used it
wtf is Truck up to these days? Last time I heard from him.. He was working with Future before his glow up.
Ave Mcree talked to him last when Covid hit. Bro moved to Alabama making bread!
Yo dope review! Ave you used to be on Rocbattle back in the day?
Nice
Nice! Reason looks blurry on my mac retina. I read about the issue and resolve but unsatisfied. How is it for you?
New resolution UI is *supposed* to come in Reason 12.
