Yeah he did a great Job. Although Johnnys hair is Blonde in the 2013 & 2020 TRPG before the events of edgerunners & this game. So I’m not sure why the developers did that. Itd be cool if a mod exists to change his hair style like his og appearance.
@@Psychokyuubi666 I like the idea of it being black and him looking like the way he does in 2077 is because of the chip's damage. His memories are said that they already aren't reliable sources, so how he sees/remember himself might be different. And remember, V is the only one who sees Johnny, so it is also up to their own interperatation. Edit: Another reason why I might think this is also because Morgan Blackhand was with Johnny in in the Arasaka tower durring the Night City Holocaust and HE was the one who fought Smasher, not Johnny. But you don't see Morgan anywhere in the game. So, with the damage it might've also erased his existance from the event.
Temperance. This is the real ending. You're happy for Johnny, but you're sorry for V. You want to smile, and you want to cry, from impotence that the world is unfair, and a happy ending happens only for one person. Everything is as sometimes happens in reality. And Johnny's face in V's body on the bus reflects that well.
The first time I saw the ending to Temperance, I was unable to shake it for a month. The message, the meaning is peak story telling. Nearly changed my outlook on life.
Cyberpunk 2077 really illustrates that, despite the sci-fi appeal and slick badassery of the street gangs and warfare, the only "good ending" in this world was the one where it never came to be.
Yet is this not the inevitable outcome of civilization? Civilization is based on the slavery of the people. Humanity's current narrative is now merely that we should let the slaves have a little slice of selfish entitlement of the pie that the rich own, so they can pretend to own their own lives aswell. In return, they will freely continue to be slaves to the power. You can't have an empire, a civilization, without slaves. Think about it. In what way exactly do we own our own lives? Our lives are based on the guarantee that we will work for someone else for our entire LIFE. What do we do to feel free? Travel? Travel and pollute the earth with the rich's toxins and give them what they want which is what keeps us enslaved (money). Take substances? Substances designed to comfort your suffering from being a slave? Candy, marijuana, heroin... Produced and designed by your owners to extract a little more money out of your suffering they caused with your enslavement. Have kids? Which is what they count on you doing since this is how they get new slaves, you provide them with one to replace you as your body fails and you die. Of course only after your body has been withered from having used all your life to work for them. Capitalism is no different than slavery. It is still *slavery serves the rich*. Except the slaves get a little insignificant slice of what the rich have, and instead of being truly free, they pretend to be free by taking part in destroying the world a little by buying THEIR products and poisons of the rich. If that's not enough, join the army for adventure right? It's honorable to fight for a dictator destroying the world because then your not serving just yourself right? There is no way to play the game without contributing to the game's existence. The only way is to not play. To live outside of the system. Off-grid. But be warned, if you go OUTSIDE, you will be a mere pest to them. When we see uncontacted tribes we think of how cool it would be to destroy them with modern military technology. That's how perverse our minds have become from technology and the notion we mere humans can hold power. Even the regular people who have grown comfortable in their enslavement will see you as dirt. As an inferior rat living in the mud, who just doesn't want to contribute to the progress of mankind. A Luddite. Yet this is not what we talk about in universities. No. What we talk about in universities is how for US to become THEM. So we can own the slaves instead of being one. Are you still a capitalist?

I'm honestly glad I stumbled into this ending on my first playthrough. It's real mellow and melancholic, and it's in an odd way sort of comforting. You learn that not only as soon as you jacked in, you had Soulkiller used on you, but also the relic has modified your body so much that even if you got back into it, you would die. And with Temperance, you willingly give your life so Johnny can have a second chance. And then we see that Johnny is a seriously changed man, trying to respect the new body he was given; even quitting and discouraging smoking since V didn't smoke. It's honestly a really great ending, and it makes me want to not pursue the other endings because it just feels... Natural? 9/10, still a buggy mess but good god this game made me cry.
It implies the Major Arcana card: Temperance, which means Perfect Balance, harmony and order. Which makes sense, as V technically died, the chip saved his brain, created the dissonance with Jonny's engram, as by 'law' or 'fate' Johnny got another chance from fate. Hence Temperance is his card. As V has to depart from the world. Naturally it is just the card's meaning the choice is still the player's.

That's when even after 12 playthroughs, I go and turn everything else down, and the game volume up.
I havent done a playthough in months and a lot of these OSTs are still so sad :(
One of Keanu's best performances. Johnny Silverhand is so solid that you forget its Reeves making it happen.

There are dialogue options in the guitar shop with Stephen that Johnny will say "I won't be a girl much longer" if you play as Fem V.

After re-watching Johnny Mnemonic, I totally understand why Keanu Reeves took this project on.
