- Meet Brian Carleton, a dedicated dairy farmer and Road Repair Foreman. His life took a significant turn when his father had a life-changing accident that left him wheelchair-bound. Instead of blaming God, Brian’s mother came to faith in Jesus, trusting in God’s plan. Brian is married to Pamela, a wonderfully supportive wife, and they have seven children. One remarkable event in their lives was when a baby boy, diagnosed as deformed in the womb, was born perfectly healthy after prayers from their church and friends. That baby is now a strapping teenager.
Pamela once asked Brian, “What are we doing for God?” This question made them realise they had become comfortable church attendees without actively impacting others’ lives. Inspired to make a difference, they started hosting CEF Camps on their farm every summer for primary and secondary school children. Brian also serves as Captain of a local Boys’ Brigade with over 40 youngsters and provides a “safe place” for over 120 young adults every month in Armagh.
Brian’s story highlights the need for workers in God’s work and challenges us to step out in faith. Listening to Brian’s journey will encourage you to hear and respond to the voice of God in your own life.
