They’re at two very different stages in life. From when I was 14 to now I’ve learned so much and can genuinely say I’ve grown so much mentally. I'm in my 30s, and I am still terrible at spelling. So terrible, that if I'm writing a letter, I second guess almost every word and either have somebody spell it out for me or type individual words on my phone so I can use autocorrect and then write the correct spelling of a word. There are many times when custody is giving to an abusive parent. Of course there would be some cases when a parent's rights should be taken away but aren't. Maybe the mother is afraid to go to the authorities and doesn't have money for court.
I don’t know about that my mom was awarded full custody when I had went to foster care, had a criminal recorded, lack of housing, and more so idk how they really go about that.

Ok, I'll try to explain as best as I can. The reason why people are confused like you, is because 2 years ago, she used to say that she was 14, when she was actually 12 at the time. Now, 2 years later she is actually 14, but claims she is 16. This is why it seems as if she's been the same age for like 5 years, when actually, her being 14 has resurfaced, because she has finally actually turned 14. They’re at two very different stages in life. From when I was 14 to now I’ve learned so much and can genuinely say I’ve grown so much mentally. As an adult it’s very obvious to tell from her talking that she’s young. I wasn't allowed to wear crop tops and short shorts when I was in middle school and neither were lots of my friends. It's not parents being "possessive," they just want to protect us. Fastdash Ree if he was the obviously abusive figure in her life, then she’s obviously not going to side or support with him. if jen is manipulating her further, i don’t see why that makes the dad any better... it means she’s growing up in a horrific cycle of manipulation and abuse and she is being used as a pawn. it means she needs sympathy, therapy, and understanding. it means that she doesn’t need to side with either one of her parents. it means that she is more likely to be messed up psychologically, indulge in toxic behaviours, and be less likely to have a normal life without therapy. it means she has serious issues caused by those in her life, and she is the only victim, and she is allowed to feel resentful towards those who made her into one.
