One of the best Bond Films . George Lazenby one of the best Bonds way underrated and Diana Rigg one of the best Bond woman. Great to see the original locations where it was shot very interesting love all the details about these films. This is a film that needs attention because it represents what makes a Bond film great. Very enjoyable for fans !
Every Bond film has its positives, and people who love it above others. For me, this was easily the best FILM of the series until Casino Royale, and they're on par for me.
This is THE FILM that inspired me to go to Switzerland over 40 years ago and live in the Alps for the rest of my life. I spent five years in the Jungfrau Region where this movie was made and always found it fascinating how many of the mountain "scenes" were in fact a blend of two or even more different locations as they switched from the valley of Lauterbrunnen to the valley of Grindelwald as well as different parts of each valley.
That's great. I'd always assumed the Piz Gloria interiors were a soundstage! I think this was the best of the early Bond films and Lazenby did an excellent job.
My wife and I have just returned from a visit to Lauterbrunnen and Piz Gloria. Thank you for making this video so that we knew exactly were each scene was filmed. I like so many others have been waiting to do this trip after having seen the film back in 1969. It was deffinately worth the wait. Stunning and breath-taking scenery wherever we went.
Wonderful job, congratulation! I love old 007 movies, and I am glad that we have so many great movie locations to visit here in Switzerland. This JBond movie is one of the best of the whole franchise, in my opinion. Greetings from Lugano.
Dankeschön für diesen schönen Zusammenschnitt! Wir waren schon oft in der Gegend und kennen das alles gut, aber der Bezug zu Bond ist mir, bis auf Piz Gloria, unbekannt gewesen.
It's the best. A real-life tough guy playing Bond not an actor. Lazenby was an ex special forces unarmed combat instructor. He could really fight, acting ability is not a requirement to play Bond, Olivier could never have done it.
I have always loved the James Bond movies for as long as I can remember . It didn't matter which one was shown for I love each, everyone of them . The reason why I love them was because of the music, the vehicles, places where it was filmed at . The people who were in the James Bond movies . As I see it you have to be friends with the people who are in the movie, get along with them . Sometimes if you don't like the person in the movie you try to get a long with them the best way possible . The way they all came together was wonderful .
absolutely great.. danke!! very well done! i was there last year and i will go there this year too when i find time. i was planning on doing a video like this too, now i discovered yours and i hope i can live up to your high standarts! my absolute favorite james bond film ever!!!
Let's put it simply : CONGRATULATIONS ! :) I've been a Bond fan for almost 30 years now, and I'm about to turn 34, can you imagine ? I'm planning to pay a visit to that part of Switzerland just to see the very places where the film was shot. Terrific pilgrimage for a Bond fan like me. Once again, congratulations. You did a great job at localizing the filming sites, it would be hard to do better. Thanks so much......
Absolutely Excellent done!! I be there every year for skiing and every time I am looking for the exact places of the Scenes, but you did it perfect. A great THANK YOU for Your effort!!!
hey Daniel, this is great, my favourite Bond film, thanks for posting that, I met George Lazenby at a fan fest here in London a few years ago, nice guy, just don't ask him why he gave up Bond and whether he regrets it!!.....but I've always wanted to visit those Swiss locations, amazing places, I like the way you have linked your footage with the movie camera angles, that gives a good impression of the" then and now"
Arguably the best bond in the franchise because it is a more human story and George lazenby surprisingly with no acting experience nails bond with feeling never before scene in a bond film.
Very well done! Very interesting to see the changes over the years...I grew up watching a lot of Bond and would love to visit some of these locations someday.
Excellent! I've been to the Lauterbrunnen area a few times and you've done a great job capturing the locations in the movie. The Hotel Staubbach, my favorite place to stay, is right across the street from now missing "phone booth". In fact, in the film, the bad guys actually drove through the hotel's driveway while shooting at him in the phone booth.
Great job this, loved the bit where you matched Bond ascending the steps to make the phone call. Nice to see the locations and how film photography transforms the colours to create that look, which is so nostalgic. Love everything about this particular Bond film and the snow and festive feeling adds something not seen in any other. It is a shame the Lazenby didn't do at least a couple more. You put a lot of effort into editing the clips, I imagine you had a great time finding and filming them. Thanks Daniel.
Excellent video, one of the best JB movie. One scene to add though, the Stechelberg station, girls leaving home. I searched Lauterbrunnen area sites last summer, Wish I had seen your video first, would have saved some trouble. I wonder there is no phone booth in Lauterbrunnen, I was not only one taking pics from -nothing.. Thanks! I enjoyed
Well done, must have been a lot of work! Thumbs up! Saw the movie yesterday with my wife and we guessed whether the indoor scenes were actually shot at Piz Gloria. What about St Moritz (bob scene)?
Well done, was in Piz Gloria last week it was amazing, only saw this video when i came home,it is great to know where the different places are,i hope to go back there next year, love Interlaken, will visit more places next time.Camillus
The entrance of the advocat building is a house further away from the Heiliggeistkirche and looks the same even today. The "Cafe Brésil" visible in the movie is the orignal name and is still open! you can have a look on Streetview here: goo.gl/maps/eeWvTM8pJK8b18Gs5
Best Bond movie ever, in ALL categories...especially the 'plot'! Plenty of snow back then, too. Today?...it's like 'bareback mountain'! ;)

Excellent work. Tremendous effort in the shot for shot. Amazing that the gold ring things are still there in Piz Gloria.
That rather surprised me as well.
Thank... the Thrifty Swiss !
5.56 Joanna Lumley , I'd go to Piz Gloria if she was still there now !
Great job on this comparison!

Yesterday (December 15th 2021) I was eating at Piz Gloria (Schilthorn). The silly golden rings at the stair case are still there.
Very interesting, what changed - and what didn‘ t change. My favorit Bond ! 👌🏻
Thats a cool one, well done! Best 007 anyway :)
Thanks for making it. It is one of my fav Bond films
Great job! I especially liked the side by side juxtaposition and the way you stood in for Lazenby to provide perspective. Thanks for the tour!!
Very well done.
This will always be my favorite bond film.
I was there in the early 1970s with my dad.
A lifelong memory.

great vid. but what about all the locations in Portuga? some of the most beautiful sequences ever shot in a Bond flick.
Thanx,do you know where the car race on the ice took place?
OHMSS has some fantastic locations.
Great thanx....do you know the name of the song the children are singing when Bond arrives in Lauterbrunnen?
"Do You Know How Christmas Trees Are Grown?" performed by Danish singer Nina
Stefandorf THANK YOU!
Great Agent 007 beautifull mission. Thank you ...next summer I'll jump on the Piz Gloria with my moto
Piz Gloria has changed again since the making of your video. Still well worth a visit though.
You would think they would keep Piz Gloria , remodelled in the same image as the movie for tourists
It's a shame it's changed, but it's great that the grill around the internal staircase remains (the guy's head goes through one of the rings).
This is great!
nice
seems like a bit of memorabilia by way of sticker on the door of the lift at 7.35
I love Switzerland !!
that was cool
3 fois BRAVO Davé
