Qimir is sufficiently different from both Kylo and Maul to be interesting. He is not unstable like Kylo, and he is more composed than Darth Maul. Trinity is the only believable jedi to me. Just from how the character was written. The worst thing is that Torbin got mindraped and seduced by the witch, and other than defending himself and it makes no sense that he did anything wrong other than.. existing.. Why would he kill himself? He did not harm anybody by all plot points he was victimized and scarred. He blocked witch-arrows and defended himself against the mindcontrolled wookie. If Sol or Trinity would feel guilty... ok. weird but ok. But Torbin? For what?
Agree and had the show had better writing they could have explained that Torbin was simply weak minded which is why he wanted to go home so bad and came from a well to do family or something which would have made his trauma response make sense.

Indara told the Mother of the coven that she needed her permission to test the children etc… not to mention the Jedi council did not sanction any of this side mission. Mae gave them exactly what Sol made happen. Sol was supposed to stop Torbin but instead he lead him inside against the Council’s wishes and against Indara’s orders and everyone died because of it… the witches died instead of putting out Mae’s fire which would have been easy and 12 Jedi die for the anxieties of two (Sol and Torbin). Sol is that abductor who came to your kid with candy (light saber) and your kid knowing nothing else than curiosity wanted that candy more than the only family she knew. Not innocent and definitely to blame. The definition of a rogue… acting on his own command.
Sol is the worst character. He let a Qimir go because he was unarmed even though he just used his bare hands to kill a Jedi. His hands were the weapon! Then later in the show he decides to lift the bridges rather than just picking up the two girls. He let May fall even though he could have just force lifted her. I ignored the rest of the stuff in the show but i can't let these two things go. It's just bad writing.
I do agree with this video here. Qimir is really the only interesting character. He's the only plotline I'm enjoying. I didn't like how the show basically telegraphed Qimir as the secret Sith. But Qimir is a new cool interesting story.
Quimir is cool because he has nuance. He isn’t obviously pure evil. He does remind me of how Ian McDermid portrayed Sidious/Palpatine in ROTS. He’s trying to seduce Osha to the card side, not force her. The actor is playing the character very well.
Him and Sol are the only good actors imo. Not impressed at all in any of the other characters except maybe Jecki. She was decent, but she’s much younger I think than the other two actors, so it would make sense that she isn’t as experienced with acting.

I think they writers bit off more than they can chew with Qimir. The character is great, but 95% of that is just because the actor has incredible range and charisma to pull it off. They've written a decent set up for this character, but I do not believe they know how to follow through. Since they don't know how to follow through, they will likely just kill him off.
I was a big fan of Sol until episode 7. Headland ruined his character in this episode. He went completely off the rails for no comprehendible reason. Quimir is the only cool character now. I’m curious what they do with Vernestra Rwoh, but I haven’t really cared about her thus far. She’s shifty and untrustworthy.

Your timeline is off. ROTS takes place ~19 years before ANH. TPM takes place 13 years before ROTS. 100 years before the rise of the Empire would be, at the latest, 125 BBY, as the Empire is founded in 19 BBY.

If Mother A truly was going to let her daughter go with the Jedi, then her opening line SHOULD have been exactly that. Instead her opening line was "You should not have come back" even though it was pretty clear that the Jedi would be coming back since the one daughter passed the test. Then she was super argumentative and her tone of voice was very attacking.
Unfortunately, my hunch agrees with your hunch. This show's ultimate goal is to make it about women. All the men thus far have been made to ultimately be turned out as fools (ep 7 essentially killed Sol's character for me), or worse fools (I did cheer when Yord died). There is little chance they would make the only cool, dangerous, charismatic male character.....live. Qimir is fodder, set up as a plot device and will be moved aside for Plot Point No. X that the writers want to get to happen. There's no good reason to have an actor play twins. It's completely unnecessary. Just so you can say "power of two" we already know the "rule of two". Think about it?
The whole show would have been better with just a daughter not twins. You have just Osha be the one trying to kill the Jedi. Osha could be upset with everything she knew is gone all to be kicked out of the Jedi order. Osha could then want to turn back to the light and wants to turn herself in and confess but then Qimir shows up and steals her away to his home on the island. Then we don't need two full background episodes at all.
The point of the show is to attract female viewers. The force is female. Nerds aren't making babies so cope. Qimir is not the protagonist. And Mae isn't liked by the fans, hence why they made it twins
