Thank you for all of the support! These movie videos take a LONG ASS TIME to make, so if you enjoyed please make sure you like and subscribe to help me out! What an incredible journey it has been. Thank you for being part of it 💙
It might interest you to know that the devs considered a cinematic in which upon initially seeing the frozen leviathan, it would break through the ice and attack... the sequence being a vision from the Architecs past, courtesy of AlAn's memory.
I was a guy who never thought he’d even leave the safe shallows, and yet, I sent off my first time capsule a few days ago. My favorite phrase? “I ruled my fear like a king, so now I give you my crown” encompassed, a single Sea Crown Seed. Yk what inspired me to beat my only fear and fight back against it? A single Reddit post. Of one guy, who just discovered Subnautica, and decided to give it a go. Showing on his post a single screenshot of his comfy little base he’s built. But it gave me a feeling of determination, and it was a bumpy ride. But now it’s done. So thank you Reddit poster. Thank you butch. And thank you subnautica. For giving me something to do when I had nothing to do
And thus, the subnautica journey ends. It has been such a pleasure to experience this with all of you. Butch, you truly have had the best Subnautica videos so far in terms of any playthrough. I've been here ever since the first few episodes of the Subnautica series and then later on the Subnautica: Below Zero videos. Love you, Butch. You really have made this so special for us all.
The fact he went from "absolutely no" to any form of glass window in the first game to a whole glass observatory that is an entire glass room from top to bottom, and a glass window above the large room... Is such a huge growth and improvement for someone with thalassophobia.
Accidentally stumbling into the deadzone is peak content. It's a shame nobody sent you to the other side of the map though, where you could have reconnected with some old friends -- the Sea Emperor's children made it all the way to the artic! You can play with them. Also, the Sub-Zero deadzone is *MUCH* less lenient than the base game's. You never made it out there, but, in the first game, the deadzone would spawn some massive leviathans to attack you, to a maximum of 3, each one spawning in as you spent more time there. The Ghosts the first game spawned in weren't nearly as fast, or as aggressive as the ones in Below Zero, which basically spawn in immediately, and chase you well until you're far from the deadzone.
Subnautica and Below Zero are such incredible games. It's worth EVERY second of fighting the thalassophobia. We're the same in that. Where we differed is that I ADORED Al-An from the get go. I hope with every fiber of my being that we get a third game where we get to explore with him. Also, me doing the "I know something you don't know" the first time you entered the crystal cave and when you went deeper into the red part lmao
I love the Sea Monkey's. I never did attack them or anything and before I got my first base built, they were nice and two of them brought me a diamond each.
Awesome!! Still sad your Robin decided she didn't care much about her sister in the end - bad lessons for the Alien buddy there 🤣 but that's what makes everyone's playthoughs unique.
I've discovered you 2 days ago. I've already seen your Subnautica's MOVIE and Subnautica : Below Zero let's play. Let's go now for the next movie ! Thx buddy for those videos. It's a real pleasure to watch. I'm really looking forward to Subnautica 3 !
I loved this series, but I'm disappointed you've ignored comments about actually completing the side story about curing the frozen leviathan and solving the mystery of what happened to your sister Sam. Bad luck I guess.
@@redrangerrr558 Big spoilers, so continue only if you dont mind that So, Sam had wanted to cure the frozen leviathan of the Kharaa because she was fearful that Alterra was going to attempt to weapinise it (despite there being very little evidence to back this up, especially since Alterra was studying ways to advance medicine using it). She somehow developed a cure for it (one of the biggest plot holes, how the hell did Sam figure out how to make her own cure for it). She asked Maida for help in curing it, and for some reason goes on to hide the cure in a cave and collapse it's entrance (Robin retrieves it using a Penglin robot). Don't know why she didn't just cure it. Robin injects the cure into one of the pustules, and they all disappear after a short time (don't know how since the leviathan doesn't have a functioning circulatory system) and that's mostly it. I mean, we knew Sam was dead early on, so that side of the story couldn't really progress much, outside of developing Alterra's story, which it only somewhat manages to do. I'm not the best person to be explaining things like this, but I've done my best nonetheless.
I just wanted to say your subnautica series was amazing! I only was able to catch the below zero series live but i love the documentary style you do for your movies. The transformation from being scared shitless of eels to killing the reaper leviathen was incredible to watch. And i cant wait to watch this one! Wherever your channel goes from here ill be watching. I’m a fairly experienced player with a few hundred hours of gameplay with both games each, and for entertainment I LOVE to watch others experience the same joy and discovery that this series has brought to Me ❤ You are undoubtedly amongst the absolute GREATEST players I’ve ever witnessed, sure someone can speed run the series or make insanely large builds, but how many can complete the series while being assaulted by their own bodies instinctive, reflexive and visceral reaction to chronic phobic stimuli? Bravo 👏 and Thank You for Your courage 😊
I love these long form videos, I honestly think you should keep making these as these are my favorite to watch as I can just sit down in the evening and watch the whole playthrough in one go.
I was laughing my ass off at 02:08:43 😂😂😂 I also knew what will happen at 3:00:54, great you met the dead zone 😂 Very cool narration, like the first game! 😊
This game is a beautiful sequel to the original. I particularly love Alan's species design, it feels exactly like how the peak of a race of scientists should look like. Modified with the best traits nature can provide from all planets, made in perfect sync with advanced cybernetics. Nature and tech combined to one. The biology nerd in me is in absolute glee whenever I think about it.
I have to tell you im in love with your music choices for the video, im a diehard fan of subnautica, im obsessed with it, your music + your perspective/experience makes me relive the game as if it was a new experience once more. Good job pushing yourself!
God I love subnautica. Below zero gets its fair share of hate, but I adore this game as much as the first one. These games are some of the most memorable games I’ve ever played in my entire life being a completionist. I love these games. And I will forever.❤

I think the first Subnautica playthrough made for a better movie because there wasn't such a linear story already in the game like here in Below Zero. Your Subnautica experience was unique and you were able to make it into a story of your own, overcoming your fears. Nevertheless I am glad you played Below Zero too and shared it with us, it was great to see you fight through to the end!
This content is amazing man, whenever you post i get a little excited! I absolutely fucking love subnautica, and i think you single handedly brought the subnautica community back. Thank you!
I really think the OG Movie and now this one will define the start of your UA-cam career. Truly quality content Butch, I look forward to the day when we all say, "Yeah, but I subbed and watched his videos back when..."
This is better than any mcu and disney movies coming out at the moment. Your writing and consistency is far superior, and the humor is so much better, lol. I can't believe hundreds of millions are used in a lame movie when a guy with a microphone sitting in his gaming chair is so much more entertaining.
I loved and enjoyed the series so much, sad it has to come to an end but im happy i got to be here for it Butch! ^^ and cannot wait to see all the other content you provide us with!
You should do The Outer Wilds next. It is an amazing game. Just make sure to go into it blind if you can. It feels Similar to Subnautica in a exploring sense but not survival or crafting. But it is amazing.
I was hoping you had went back and found the kharaa antidote, finished Sam's work, and tacked that on the end. Since, ya know, going there and finding your sister is pretty much the whole plot of the game.
