Passive income on accounts for cash is only high now due to high country bank interest rates. Once they are reduced due to lower inflation, the savings will also reduce so it's only temporary. In reality, the real inflation is usually 4-5% above the listed country inflation so you need to get 7-8% interest+growth to really have a passive income that beats inflation, otherwise that cash is actually getting less in real terms.
@@SocialTrading It is commonly underestimated but not really that high. The average for the SP500 is over 10%. I know you are generally risk-averse, but you should change your base case to 6-10% return a year rather than 2-4%.
Passive income I use dividend stocks so I get a passive income and also growth. Can look at ETF's like SCHD if don't want to deal with stocks individually. Long term I have an ISA stock trading account as UK makes it tax-free for me.
@@SocialTrading Keep it simple, SCHD is a dividend ETF for long term, the dividend% will increase each and compound to gradually increase. SCHG is a growth-based ETF for medium term, good in bull market, eventually sell when high enough and put into the dividend ETF for income.
Hi Tom. I was surprised to see my comment in your video lol The crypto fees on etoro makes it impossible to day trade crypto. I use a separate exchange for short term trades. Also the staking button. I didn't know it had to be on before opening a trade. I received staking rewards for Eth but not others I hold, Ada Sol TRX. Something to look into
I'm not sure about that eth-staking-before-buying idea... I'm going to turn staking on and see what happens. Thanks for the comments! Yeah, the fees are way higher than i expected. I just wasn't looking! Have you asked them directly why you're not getting the Sol and TRX rewards?
@SocialTrading I have sold my sol and trx. I haven't asked etoro but someone was saying on the platform staking is only for new positions opened after staking was introduced. My Ada I still hold is from 2021/2022 so I don't know if that qualifies for staking. I'll look into it
the question is should you (we) add more money to the traders we already copy and they make us money, or we should add more new traders to the portfolio instead?
So far I've just added more to my existing traders as nobody has shown me better ones yet... But if I saw obviously better ones, I'd copy them too I think.
I've invested in a company called stake based in dubai I have a stake in 9 property's. They say they look to keep property's for 3 to 5 years before they sell BUT if someone offers a good price to buy they will sell it The good thing also every 6 months you can sell your shares if you need your money, I buy shares that top up the property's i already have which keeps me in the 3 to 5 years Might be worth a look for you
I still am using it, and things are going ok - but the whole investing and trading scene is inherently extremely risky - most people do lose money from the statistics I see.
Doesn’t matter your crypto go up or down because they don’t include your Etoro ties just say you have to 12000 thousand euros 2000 in crypto you only in a gold tie that 2000 does not count
Hi there. They only don't count crypto positions if you're either a U.K resident (I'm not) or if your crypto positions are leveraged (which mine aren't) so I think mine would be included in my tier balance.
The Lifetime ISA has 3 main limits (be over 50, buying your first house, 12 months to live),. Cash and the Stocks & Shares ISA's vary, some let you deposit & withdrawal at any time with no penalty (e.g. Trading212, who I'm with) . Some are fixed for say 1, 2 or 5 years typically have an interest penalty if withdrawn earlier than the fixed time. Some have yearly max limits, e.g. only withdrawal up to 2 times per year with no interest penalty.
I think it is important to have cash on the sidelines in your etoro account so that you will be ready when there are deals in the market.
Yeah, a lot of people say that - makes good sense eh. I've used most of it copying people though now. Still got a small amount, but very little.

It's just such a high return needed simply not to be losing money eh. Incredible.

Trading 212 defo the best just now, I'm looking forward to see what the next disruptor brings though 😊.
I had to travel and find a new flat in Malta so postponed the meeting, but I'll set it up again now...
Another excellent informative video!(btw I resolved my buying Bitcoin issues)
Glad to hear it! And thanks :)

Yep, that seems to be the best way. I'll have a look at that eTF, thank you!

You will see staking on the portfolio and it say's it's from staking. I think you can turn on staking after you buy don't see why not
I'm going to give it a shot - thanks :)

Hi Paul, thanks. Have you taken any profits yet? I'm so suspicious of everything :)
Hi sir.. does etoro still safe..

I buy eth on binace. The fee is very small
It does seem better...
thanks :)
I thought ETH gone up yesterday so i thought u will make some money back but looks like its only a small shift
It's up and down like a yo-yo!

Heyy😊
The interest rates are high in the U.K. because Liz Truss screwed the economy 2 years ago, great for saving, not so much for loans/mortgages.
I saw her doing some interviews recently trying to defend herself - I'm not sure how well it all went.
Isnt ISA a scheme where u can take money out only after retirement?

My Uk bank gives me 1.5% yearly 😂
It's so little eh... incredible how much they're making off everyone.
You need to top up your Revolut account £0 looks so sad and it looks like u broke haha but Hey u Just sold your house, Mr Elon!!! 😂
I've never used these high interest features - and they seem very useful to be honest.
Money market funds. SPRXX, SWVXX, VMFXX ... there are a lot of them.
I'll look into them a bit more... cheers.
