12:42 If you press Ctrl+Shift+T rather than Ctrl+T, you can directly select all the texture maps and the Node Wrangler addon will automatically connect them to the respective values, with the correct Color Space too!
nice tutorial as always! huge tip, when doing texture setups, instead of Ctrl+T, use Ctrl+Shift+T and select all the textures you wanna use. it'll set them up all at once and with correct color spaces so you don't have to do it all manually! :)
Interesting effect. Looks like it's mostly due to new view Transform : AgX, and thinness of profile curve. Also you can have much faster animation playback if you generate the profile curve inside geometry nodes, with something like Quadrilateral primitive & fillet curve. It'll also help to shave off up to a second for mesh generation for each frame.
That is a wonderful tutorial Ducky! Thank you so much! Downloaded new version of Blender. Played a little and added "Z" value to Quadratic Bezier in Nodes. Now the noodles drop like a curtain, looks cool, I love it ♥
Hey thanks for the videos Ducky, you have been the biggest source of inspiration for me and just so happened to come across your videos while researching 3d animation. I'm a complete newbie to blender but you've been a huge help. I already purchased the pro version of your RTMs and they are incredible. I'm hoping to subscribe to your patron soon. Thanks for the help
the more I see these videos the more I'm amazed on how do you reach to these outcomes, what type of creativity process do you follow? do you even sketch these out before? I'm really curious,
Those music visualizers are REALLY tempting me to go for the Patreon. Your stuff is awesome and I love learning from you, so maybe I'll pull the trigger on that sooner rather than later.
Hi Ducky3D I have been seeing you channel since you started this venture. Since then, your quality has just gone up leaps and bounds. Thanks for all the videos you post and for sharing your tips and tricks with everyone. Wish you all success, good health and happiness. 👌👌🙏🙂
Super informative stuff Ducky, I am still a noobie to Blender, and you make Geometry nodes look so easy. Its something I have yet to even experience, as there is so much depth to it. Maybe one day it will be second nature in the world of Blender
Great tutorial as always Ducky! Saw you setting up the PBR maps for the table manually, and wondering if you have discovered the wonder that is Ctrl-Shift-T in node wrangler? It automates the map setup in the shader editor ( color, roughness, normal etc).
I'm not on a computer right now to test if it makes a difference - but is there a good reason why you create the mesh line and quadratic bezier in a different orientation than you want them and then rotate them instead of giving them values to directly have the correct orientation?
Off the top of my head I don’t remember the exact reasoning. But as I was building out this node tree it just made sense. But I’m sure there’s multiple ways to get this.
There are lot of which shows creating product animation with cenema 4D. Just not able to find a tutorial that how create it in blender. If would be nice if in future you are willing to make tutorial for product animation eg: how to make shoe ad, mobile ad, laptop ad ...........etc. These can help lot of blender artist who willing to make a living with blender!!!
At 15:21 in the video, you say hit "I" in the "w" I tried doing that on my macbook and it doesn't work. Can you explain how to do that on a mac? thank you!
On 5:29 on the Noise Texture node I don't have the W modifier, anyone has that or it's something I missed or should enable? (I'm using blender 4.0.2) Edit: Ok I realized that the issue is I don't have the option to change the node from 3D TOto 4D :( Edit 2 lol: I put the node again and it showed up, no clue what happened the first time
I'm very confused by your channel. I like it, but it confuses me. I've been doing Motion Graphics for, about, 23 years now and what I call Motion Graphics is VERY different from what you call Motion Graphics. To me, and most 'old school' designers, Motion Graphics is what you do with After Effects. What you do is 3d Animation to us. So, that's really confusing because you CAN do the stuff you do in After Effects with Blender, you would just use flat objects (planes, circles etc.). I mean, I've worked on some films and commercials, and none of my clients would ask for Motion Graphics and expect the type of stuff that you do here. They would expect what could be called 'animated Photoshop' type stuff (or maybe Illustrator). 3D is 3D to me. Like I said, I like your channel, but you rarely do things that I actually think of as Motion Graphics and it's always confusing. I see a title that includes the phrase 'Motion Graphics' and then I see 3D animation. Just a thought.
The thing is, referring to what I do is 3-D animation is too broad of a description. I would say that what I do falls in line with what people would call, motion design, or 3D motion graphics. Motion graphics does not inherently mean 2D. That’s just what it used to mean because 3D was less accessible until now.
@@TheDucky3D Yeah, ok. But my clients include AT&T, Verizon and Rolex. Motion Graphics is, literally, graphics in motion. When you step into the realm of 3D, it's 3D Animation. I worked on Sin City, Harry Potter 2 and 28 Days Later. I did Motion Graphics. The 3D stuff was called 3D animation because it was 3D and it was animated. With your perspective, anything could be Motion Graphics. A Pixar film could be called Motion Graphics simply because you might be called upon to do some of the things you do within that film. What if somebody wants the stuff you did in this tutorial in a Pixar film? You would be using the same concepts and tools as the guys animating the characters and creating the effects. On the other hand, I could do something like a title sequence in Blender, that would be indistinguishable from something done in After Effects and that would be considered Motion Graphics. There is a hard line in my understanding and experience. Without that line things get blurry. There was a time when a 'Motion Graphics Artist' could earn $2000 a day Just for knowing After Effects. Now, you're EXTREMELY lucky to earn a quarter of that. Stop screwing the artform up. You're screwing things up for everybody, yourself included. If you want to call it '3D motion Design' or 3D Motion Graphics' then do that, but please stop calling it 'Motion Graphics' because that is something entirely different. Motion graphics is, in the professional industry, what you do in After Effects, Nuke and (God forbid) Motion.
@@kennyrosenyc I think we are just going to have to agree to disagree. I’ve worked professionally in the space for quite some time and the word motion graphics is used quite a bit. I think we’re both working in two different industries. And there are plenty of people I know personally making that kind of money, but now it’s switched over, there are plenty of people who know after effects, but being proficient with 3-D animation, and being able to apply that in a graphic design/motion design context is extremely valuable, and I have made a really good living doing it. I wouldn’t say I’m screwing up anything for anybody but I think there’s quite a bit of nuance lost on this conversation that would help clarify everything here
@@TheDucky3D That's fine. Your tutorials are still useful. But I just don't think they are 'Motion Graphics'. You can call them '3D Motion Graphics' if you want, which would be more descriptive especially considering there are a metric ton of UA-cam channels doing what would be considered to be actual 'Motion Graphics' and using that title as well (just a thought to help you stand out). I'm just saying, you're creating a lot of confusion where there doesn't need to be any at all.
@@kennyrosenycDucky’s out here sharing his experience and passion with us for free in an effort to help elevate all of us. As with literally every single thing in this short life we get, things evolve and change overtime. People used to ride horses and it took days to get around.
