We are building a lot of our custom rifles on them now and getting great feed back, as well as I am impressed with them from start to finish! Thanks for watching.
I just came from another American gunsmith channel showing and reviewing the Mac Brothers actions. Short action $775 Long action $800 Compared to my brothers 2 Borden actions for his F-Open rifles in 284 Win, these are like they're paying you to take one lol.
I like this action over most others. Borden is great, but they, Terminus and Defiance have gotten to be such long turnaround time from order, that it's not practical to use them. I do use BAT, but mostly for bench, competition applications. Thanks for watching.
Sir, do you typically use SAAMI chambers for everything or selectively use improved or "match style" chambers for some cartridges like 300 Win Mag that have a taper-only chamber without a section of snug freebore. Thank You.
Rifles, exclusively. My area of interest, though I've worked on black powder, pistols and shotguns in the past, I have chosen to specialize. Thanks for watching.
It would be nice if you talked about custom builds off of Mauser actions and mass produced factory actions. I would never purchase a custom action for a custom rifle build. By the time I buy that action it makes the custom rifle unaffordable to me today! $800 for just the action is too much money for me.
Don’t be so hasty, you are looking at between 400 to 600 for accurizing an existing action. REM 700 and Mauser actions are going for almost as much as a custom action. I tell my customers that unless they already have the action it’s a better investment for the custom action. No human being can beat a properly cnc machined action. Even if one gets dialed in to 1 10thousandth, you can’t do as good as the cnc starting from a raw block.
I prefer, for myself, an FN and Win. 70. I don't know of anywhere to buy a good action, trued, trigger and all for less than $800. CNC has given us true actions that are priced from $800 to the sky is the limit. Thanks for watching.
@cabochirs100: I've listened to the video several times since reading you comment. I do NOT hear what you are alluding to at all. I've had the volume way up to see what I may be missing, and still don't hear what you say is happening. As far as equipment, that is all my balliwick, not his. In the meantime, I'll listen to previous videos, and re-listen to this, but as I said, I am not picking up what you or @SirDadbod are mentioning. Thanks for watching.
Good company, great product, easy to work with. Good turnaround time. I've been very happy with the accuracy of the rifles I've built on it. Thanks for watching.
Hey old timer.. It's time for new mic or new video device if your mic is part of your camera. It's beginning to make noise immediatly upon detecting voice and end of voice..it could be your noise reduction is going bad. It creates a sound during your talking that sounds like material shuffling... Look into the equipment gamers use to record and stream... U can get decent hardware for decent prices.. For your type of content,, your recording and mic options are more important than your camera... You Def want to spend more on external mic quality.. Any decent 1080p camera or dskr camera will suffice.. It's your mic you always wanna be on top of..

Cathy I had no issues hearing every word Randy said and understood without a problem. Even if there is a faint noise, most here are interested in rifles and not gamer quality headphone sounds. I agree about the "Oldtimer" opening but only a "punk" would say that.
I have one of their Element actions and absolutely love it. I used it to build a nice ultralight 280ai.
We are building a lot of our custom rifles on them now and getting great feed back, as well as I am impressed with them from start to finish!

Great video brother.
Thank you
I will check those out.
Thank you !
There's a place down the road from me called Kelbleys that make a very nice action like this.
Yes, they do. I've built rifles on their actions.
Thanks for watching.
But the price is almost 2 times price.
I've got a Bat b but want a cheaper action for my plink rifle versus my benchrest rifle
A nice action for a reasonable price. WOW
What is the reasonable price? Can it be had blued?
I just came from another American gunsmith channel showing and reviewing the Mac Brothers actions.
Short action $775
Long action $800

I got the single shot SA for acshort range benchrest rig. Holds 1.25 bbl
Thank you for the video Randy! How would you compare this action to say Defiance, BAT, or Terminus?
I like this action over most others. Borden is great, but they, Terminus and Defiance have gotten to be such long turnaround time from order, that it's not practical to use them. I do use BAT, but mostly for bench, competition applications.

I cut chambers according to needs.
Thanks for watching.
@@TheRealGunsmith Thank you.
Nice. Folks might also want to look at American Rifle Co new action the Coup De Grāce. It starts atb$899
I don't care for it. Personal preferences differ.
Thanks for watching.
Do you ever do any builds on the mini or micro type actions? If so, what ones do you like?
Seldom. It's been a long, long time. I don't get requests for it and all builds are custom orders.
Thanks for watching.
I want one. I don’t need one but what’s need got to do with it.
Exactly!
Thanks for watching.
Do you build rifles exclusively? Black powder? Pistols? Shotguns?
😊😊😊

Last time I spoke with them a left hand was not available
No, not at this time, but I think they may in the future.
Thanks for watching.
Any experience with Pure Precision or Kauger actions?
No. I've had no requests for any builds on them.
Thanks for watching.
@@TheRealGunsmith I just learned of Kauger earlier this year. Pure Precision was formerly Mesa Precision Arms If I recall correctly.
Excellent video randy. Thank you.
What's wrong with your wired on-off audio???😮
Sounds like his background noise cut off is cutting off some noise in the background but creating noise at the same time.
