    Hard to believe that like 10 years ago I started watching Jordan for minecraft advice as a 10 year old. Now 10 years later I’m 20 and still watching Jordan but looking for lifting advice. Keep up the great work, love ya jard

      Lifting weights is actually great! It’s good for your body and it’s fun. Just take things slow, do you research, and eat right, and you’ll stay injury free and see progress.

    Honestly really cool that like many, I used to watch CaptainSparklez's mod showcases and Let's Plays in my early Minecraft days; and now I come back nearly 10 years later and he's into lifting. Even going into less mainstream fitness stuff like deficit deadlifts, clean and jerks, and taking influence from much of the same content (e.g. Olympic weightlifter footage) that I used to binge.
    I don't really watch Minecraft UA-cam anymore, but I hope Jordan continues uploading these fitness videos and am interested to see how his fitness journey develops, especially since he's focusing on the long term.

    Jordan! A tip from one weigh lifter to another. To get rid of your butt wink - the moment where your low back and butt dip down at the very bottom portion of the squat, also called a pelvic tilt - take a deep breath in right before you squat and tighten your core. Hold it there for the duration of the rep and exhale when you get back to the top. This will save you lower back in the long run and help protect you from severe injury in the future.

    For calf raises you can put the barbell on your traps and do calf raises on stacked up plates. Or you can sit down and put the barbell on your knees

    Don't worry about your quads, they're huge! You need a more stable calf raise to push heavy weight, and deepen the raise to maximize your ROM. I recommend sprints after isolation work to tie leg and back muscles together in a very compound and mass-building way. Great results btw! Stay humble

    i dont really gym, i have a car but only know how to drive it. i game but i dont play minecraft, i never search reddit. as a matter of fact jardine and i are polar opposites in many ways . so i asked myself... why do i even come here, why am i subscribed even... you know it took me a minute to figure it out, when i come here there is no drama, no politics, just a cute buff guy being dorky and excited bout his cars and games. just feels like a vacation .

    Unfortunately I'm hyper flexible so all of my muscles are like really loose rubber bands so I try to refrain from stretching too much since I have to overstretch myself to even feel it. Weights however I do for upper body.

      I'm hyper flexible in my shoulders, it really sucks when working out cause you have to watch your limits on stuff a bit more, not push as hard as you'd like. Etc.

    Day 1 of saying: a tip for Rocket Spleef during the next MCC: if the Elytra is deployed you can hit a block (but just barely!) and then IMMEDIATLY move back up and you will gain momentum so you can stay in the air for longer. (if you wanna get a better explanation, watch Pete's - PeteZahHutt's - MCC 7 vid.
