Thank you so much Deidra! I don't use alot of yellow and orange, but I love love how it turned out. I have had those sunflowers in my craft room for years. Happy to finally use one off the bunch lol. I also have a giant sunflower that I hope to one day make a giant sunflower journal out of an old atlas cover 😄💛🧡🌻🌻
Thanks Kirsten! I don't do bright colours often, but that journal cover was sitting on my shelf for ages. I am determined to finish all the half started journals this year. Was really happy to also finally use one of those sunflowers. I have had that bunch of fake sunflowers sitting in my craft room for years. One down, 50 to go hahaha 😂💚🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
Thank you Sharon! I love sunflowers too. My grandmother always had them growing in her backyard when we were young. They make me feel nostalgic. Oh the good old days! Fun times! 🙂🧡💛
Thank you Barbi! I really love the challenge of making journals without all the "pretties". I find is so satisfying using junk papers and old clothing for fabric etc. And it means we have a never ending supply of crafting materials lol 😄💚🌻
Thank you so much Pirjo! I really love how it turned out. I had a bunch of fake sunflowers in my craft room for years and finally plucked one off to use. They are bright bright yellow, and I love how it looks after it was grunged up a little. Sunflowers sure do make the world brighter. My grandmother used to grow them in her garden. Sunflowers have happy childhood memories for me 😊💚🌻
Great job. Wonderful to see all your bits and Bobs in a journal that matches your style. I think it is beautiful and not digital to be seen it just goes to show you
Thank you so much Judie! I really love trying to use just the materials I collect in everyday life. It's really satisfying to find a use for bits of junk that I collected or was given. It's also a chellenge sometimes to make a journal without all the pretties, but I just love that challenge! 😄💚🌻
Thank you thank you! I really love how it turned out. Bits of fabric, lace, tabs, threads etc hanging over page edges has always been so appealing to me. And like many of us, sunflowers make me instantly happy 😊💚🌻🌻
Thank you Judith! I really love how it turned out. I have always loved the look of fabric and lace and threads hanging out of journals. The scrappier for me the better lol 😄💚🌻
Oh my gosh Cara, I would need a year to clean my craft room first lol. It's more like a recycle centre than a craft room ahahha. I've had an ongoing joke with a few long time subscribers......I will stick my big head on camera and do a craft room tour when I get to 10,000 subbies. Think I am pretty safe! 😂😜💚
Thanks Sue!! I think the colour is much nicer in real life; I don't think it shows on camera that well. The lighting in my room is a bit crap lol. Hey, you were going to make a sunflower journal! Hop to it! You must be slow if *I* beat you lol. Did you see I finally used some of the die cuts you sent me? Two down, 500 to go lol. You must have spent the whole week die cutting lol. I love that fern one. It's really pretty. I need to get online and buy some dies so I can start using my Sizzix! 😊💚🌻
Thank you so much! I really love how it turned out. It's a bit fatter than originally anticipated! I have a habit of overfeeding my journals lol. I just love chunky and scrappy journals 😀💛🧡🌻
I like that pocket band you made of the coffee dyed paper toward the beginning I haven't seen that before! And lately everything done with a mailing envelope is just amazing to me! I never knew so many options existed for mail I've been throwing away my whole life! LOL! And I love the way you stitched in fabric at the outside edge of the pages. It looks great! Beautiful, detailed work!
Thank you so much Vanessa! You just came up with a great name - pocket band! I don't think I had a name for it before lol. Oh yes, I love mailing envelope projects too. I have sooo many I need to use up! Glad you like my little journal. I really love how it turned out 😊💛🧡🌻
Oh my gosh Vanessa I did a video this morning on Pocket Bands and I couldn't think of your name!! Please excuse my bad memory. Can I blame old age? lol 😂💚
This is absolutely stunning, Bonny! I like the shape of it so much; it just begs to be picked up & perused! I’m so attracted to your style, even though ours are not the same! Your sense of whimsy is so fun, I love the little stories that you share with us! I’m still wondering how to tear the top layer off cardboard, I’m never successful, maybe you have some hints on that? Thank you for another peek into your world! Erica❤
Thank you so much Erica! I love how we all seem to enjoy others work, even though we have different styles. As a recycle only crafter, I don't use all the "pretties" that most journal makers use, but I still love seeing their journals too. Oh, the cardboard peeling.....I have collected some bits of cardboard to so I can do a video to show you how I peel the top layer off and make some tags. I'll try to film it this week, if I can kick my husband out of my craftroom lol. Hopefully he is working from the office a few days this week!😀💛
Thank you so much Christine! I am glad to finally use ne of those sunflowers; I have had a bunch of them in my craft room for years now lol. I think it looks really nice all grunged up. It started out bright yellow! Oh yes, the never ending trash we keep for crafting; we need to make more journals! lol 😄💚🌻
Awww I made this little guy so fat he weighs alot lol. Plus the box and pack of extra goodies add to the weight. Postage is always a killer, thats why I try to keep my prices low. Wish we all had free shipping like China! lol. I'm so happy you like it though! 🙂💛🧡🌻
Thank you Rita!! Really happy you like it! I hope to do some journal making tutorials when I get some more time. Unfortunately real life sometimes gets in the way of my crafty life lol. For this cover, I painted the book cover first, then I just glued scrunched up tissue paper on top, then when that was dried, did a light paint on top and then used a spray sealer once it was all dry. I'm not very good with paints, but I enjoy it so I do it anyway and somehow it all comes out nice in the end, and if it doesn't, you can always just paint over the top again lol. When I get more time, I will definitely do more journal tutorials! 😊💚🌻
Such a gorgeous journal. Loved the orange and yellow throughout the journal as well. Thanks for sharing with us!

Ooooooh. A SUNFLOWER JOURNAL?!?!?! My very most fave flower ever. This is beautiful!
Thank you Sharon! I love sunflowers too. My grandmother always had them growing in her backyard when we were young. They make me feel nostalgic. Oh the good old days! Fun times! 🙂🧡💛
The thing I am loving most about your work is that you’re using real things, not digi prints. Love love ❤️

This makes the world brighter. The cover is gorgeous and the yellow/orange kept through the journal makes it complete. Well done Bonny! xx

I can't believe you made it so fat! I like the orange and yellow ruffles you made, they remind me of leaves in autumn.
Hehe Jamesy you know I love feeding little critters, baybees and journals lol. 😂💚🌻
Pretty flower on cover with awesome tassel!
Tfs! Beautiful!🥰👍💕
