    these are great sprayers... I have been using the set sprayers 20 gallons and 6 gallons for years.and they work fine.. thing to remember is don't get products that require 4oz or more to a gallon

    Great review. I have one on order from Amazon. I have another Chapin sprayer that I use for GroPower fertilizer, and my new one will be for any organic pest sprays.

    Could you please tell me what the red noob on the spray nozzle is and how to use it?
    Thanks 👍

      That knob will hold the handle on for you if desired. Tighten it to hold the “on” handle in place.

    Why does my bottle fill when I use it? It should be emptying!

    • @ApacheRanch

      @@joelandrum9803 it forces water through the bottle and then pushes out water 💦 with the chemical inside. It should be doing that.

    How can I adjust this to spray the full bottle of liquid in 20 gallons?

  • @icemancometh8679
    @icemancometh8679 Рік тому

    I have one like this and I sprayed the whole yard but the weed killer fluid in the bottle didn't move. It said to set it on 10 and run it with clear water till it was dry and it seemed to only run about halfway down then quit. Is there any fancy way to clean this thing? Is there any way it could get rusty under the dial to not run right?

    • @icemancometh8679
      @icemancometh8679 2 місяці тому

      @@wiggins164 I got a new one , but I think basically just Feel the container with water and let it run out when you're using it. It cleans it out.

    YOU DID NOT MENTION YOU CAN USE THE SPRAYER TO PUT INSECTICIDE AND FUNGICIDE ON SHRUBS, FRUIT TREES, VEGETABLES, ETC. PLEASE CAREFULLY FOLLOW DIRECTIONS FOR APPLICATION.

    Can bleach be used in sprayer?

    • @ApacheRanch
      @ApacheRanch  Рік тому +1

      I can't see why not. But there are likely other sprayers designed for this purpose specifically.

    • @MrIgottap
      @MrIgottap 4 місяці тому +1

      Absolutely, just be sure to empty/rinse out the bottle and then run fresh water through it before putting it away. Bleach isn’t super corrosive but can/will do some damage with prolonged contact.

    And what about powders?

    • @ApacheRanch
      @ApacheRanch  2 роки тому +1

      This system would require you to premix that. It will not add water into the tank. It only draws fluid up and out of the tank.

    • @PanamaSticks
      @PanamaSticks 2 роки тому +1

      Yes I know. I was asking how you calculate the dilution.

    You were saying, "Set it to two" but the instructions, which are quite unclear because there is no reference to a setting marker, seems to indicate that the number should be set to that little brass ball to the right of the dial. If this is true, you actually set the sprayer to '4'. I'm not saying that I'm right and you're wrong, I'm saying poor instruction manual. What do you think?

    • @safetysmith
      @safetysmith 3 роки тому +2

      Ahhh, I just watched the actual Chapin video Tex and I saw in a closeup, the little arrows above and below the little brass ball to the right of the dial. I didn't notice the arrows on my own device because they're kind of 'undercover. So yes, in your vid you think that you are setting the dial to 2 but you have actually set the dial to 4. Take a close look and see if you agree.

    • @ApacheRanch
      @ApacheRanch  3 роки тому +4

      @@safetysmith Yes! Great catch! I was lining up the "2" in line with the hose, but to set that number, you must line it up above that brass ball on the side of the unit. You are absolutely correct!

    • @TheDylan6908
      @TheDylan6908 2 роки тому +1

      Nos, yes the marker is that little brass ball. The 2/4 thing is that the dial is set up for either tablespoons or teaspoons not ounces . If you want to set the dial to 2 ounces per gal of water, you need to set the dial to 4 because 4 tablespoons equal 2 ounces.
