Heard this song on a movie called Locating Silver Lake. It's a drama type movie but in one scene a female sings this song. Her vocals are so strong and very amazing, but the orginal singer is pretty good too. Such a good song along with the movie.
I've always loved this song since it came out. Now after 6 years I listen to it in a different way... As Im growing up and realizing the struggles of love, I can understand that not only he is asking to be loved by someone who ignores him, he also asks the person to "notice" him too since they only care about themselves. They seem to be a very narcissistic person and falling in love with such a person is very dangerous and heartbreaking. What has bothered me so hard around love is that most people don't treat the other with the same amount of respect as the one does to the other... it's really sad.

As crazy as it sounds, I think this song just made me realize I'm bisexual, and that my first love was actually a boy I used to be good friends with way back in elementary & middle school. I actually showed him this song when it first came out and now I'm pretty sure why I did.
