12/17/2021- I am coming back and watching a lot of old SD videos this week.
There is so much nostalgia involved. Some of the snakes in this video have since passed away and others, like Stripey (1:07) bred for the first time this year! Look how little he was. 😍
I’m so happy for Emily & Ed and all they have accomplished over the last 4 years on UA-cam.

Some of these stories make me so mad. How does one “forget” to feed their snake?? Do they also forget to feed their children?
@@aestiva.13 you can't just forget to feed an animal. When you get an animal, imagine they are actual human kids, you will have to bathe them, make sure they pee and poop, take them to the doctor, feed them and loving them. That's what they mean, when you get an animal you should take care of them like you are having a child

I have a recurring nightmare that I keep forgetting to feed my pet snakes and I hate myself for it, I get so mad at myself, even though it isn't real. I don't even have any snakes, but the idea that I could "forget" annoys me so much

I know this is old but I have to thank you for taking in the fire survivors. we had a house fire over the summer, totaled the house, and we were out of town but because my moms friend offered to watch out 4 birds while we were moving (yeah it burnt down while we were in the process of moving, kinda sucked because the fire started in the pile of out boxes of stuff) the birds had lived because someone had them. they obviously wouldnt have lasted 2 minutes from the fumes, and it's good to know that they were not in harm's way.

I love the albinos! I've had animals all my life (usually in pairs like for guinea pigs and such) and one of the pair has always been albino; the little red eyes just get me 😍

That Lavender Albino Golden Child retic is gorgeous.
I had a class turtle in 6th grade and at the time we thought it was a girl and I decided that her name should be Timmy and that became her name and everyone hated me for giving her that name but later we found out she was a he and everyone was happy again except for me. We also had a turtle named Bella who turned out to be a boy so his name was changed to beast. Beast ran/walked away.

I’m not actually a snake person, I’ve held a few and do think their incredible animals but not really had much to do with them. But, your videos are so interesting I feel like I’ve learnt so much already, from just a few views. A really good mix too of personable info on each snake and facts about each breed. Honestly even if you don’t like snakes how can people just leave them in a box in a cupboard for months in a dirty box with no food or water! It’s so cruel and it’s not hard to hand them in to a rescue or even rehome! 😢

I have a ball python named Sebation. We bought him off Facebook for $20, including a tank and other stuff (he's healthy, btw) He's about two years old. Anything I should worry about? We feed him two small mice or a medium mouse about every 3 weeks. Any tips?
David Carter he’s not eating often enough and ball pythons should be eating rats, not mice. They need to eat an appropriate-sized rat once a week. There are tons of videos here on YT about ball python care. 😊

You should post a video on how to feed baby snakes and how to care for them( like what temperature and humidity they need as well as habitat and when you move them to a bigger enclosure)!

I love Snakes but I never want to touch one because I'm scared.....DO'NT JUGE MEEEEEEE.
The fact you're scared of touching them but actually love them is something you can work on. If you just hated them then people would judge you watching a snake video just to comment you hate them. Volunteer at your local rescue center and work up to touching them.
We won’t judge! I respect spiders and other similar buggy things, but I cannot stand getting near them. Creep me out a little too much. Try hanging out around the snake section of zoos and the such to help build confidence!

The Hognose snakes are adorable, I counted about 20 total? All of the snakes in that room are gorgeous though, and the salamanders were very cute trying to chase you for their supper. My favorites are those baby Garter snakes, I am quickly falling in love with them, the Milk snakes, and the Hognose. But it's so hard to pick, because I love them all.
