No matter their perceived commercial success (or lack thereof), they kept making music. Now we have Volcano Choir, Collection of Colonies of Bees, etc because these dudes just kept going because they loved making music. Huge inspiration.
im loving this band i just found out about them today, march 4th, 2012. i must check out Toe, people are making comparisons, ill check toe out in a millisecond....
I feel so special that i have the luxury to know about these guys too. this old crappy MP3 player i used to own back in 2004 had like 4 songs that came with it. Crisis Win being one of them
Thank you Lizard, I didn't mean unknown as in their a of nobody's, I love Pele and I got to see them a few times seeing as I"m from Wisconsin...I wish they still played together.
I'm glad you have nothing to say pertaining to the band pele. Thanks for giving me the satisfaction of victory and actually having more knowledge about a band I like more than you do. Have a nice day!
Arguing between Kashikura and Mueller is like arguing between Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain. Both drummers would make fools out of 99% of anyone else out there.
@AMeatBeetle comparison to others is kind of good, cause then people like me will know what the band talked about is similar to. like... i only heard of PELE cause someone made a camparison to PELE from a collection of colonies of bees vid. on youtube. you know?
Yeah, I don't understand why you snapped at "playswithpassion" like that. What he was trying to say was that they're not as well known as many bands out there and I assume that he wish more people WOULD know. It wasn't an insult nor was it a negative comment towards the band. Maybe "unknown" was the wrong word to use. He even said they're amazing. Sure, people "actually" knew about them, but not a lot of people do. You need to calm down, dude.
Kind of silly to argue over "this drummer is better than that drummer." Reminds me of not-very-mature 10-year-olds. "Comparison to others is the mark of a fool." --Robert Fripp

From what i can hear, most post rock/math rock bands today (especially in japan) were influenced by these guys.
Amazing.

The live version is somehow way better than the album version.
