This man is absolutely right! I've spoken about this issue before. There's absolutely no reason why Nigeria should have a bicameral legislature. It's a giant money wasting scheme that amounts to huge waste. Why in the workd do you have a senate with 3 senators from ea h state when US only has 2 from each state, to begin with? Imagine Nigeria being just one and a half size of texas having about 108 senators, compared to US with massive land mass and 50 states having only 100. So, in order to help bring people out of poverty, if one legislative arm is abolished, the country would surely be able to bring people out of poverty.

Honestly speaking the president should have been silent t on the issue. He should have study the program first and see if it worth it or not . I think first of all he should have concentrated on repairing the ailing refineries to it maximum capacity before removing the subsidy.
The truth is, Nigeria can't afford the subsidy anymore. Our debt is getting bigger & the revenue we made per yr in all the states is not enough to even pay the subsidy. There is no way we can survive as a country if we continue paying it. And with that, where do we get money to repair or build any refineries if we keep overshooting our survival power?
I think NNPC has robbed us blind for yrs. It is clear they are the ones defrauding the country of the subsidy money. Evidence - Today, 31st May, they already increased their pump price even against their own regulation. The high price supposed to kicked in by June ending.
@@2912-TV They said they are the ones paying for the subsidy for the last 5 Month, They are owing FG almost 2.8trn, So maybe H.E Tinubu asked them to stop paying for the subsidy hence the price hike. Smart move by the President.
@Sadiq Kakisu Ramadan Really, NNPC should be audited. Where are the payments receipts or transfer sheets for the subsidy they claimed to have been paying? Who are the companies they are paying these subsidy funds to? Something is not right here.
NNPC can't even wait till end of June before hiking the pump price which contradicts what they told Nigerians that the new price will happen by June ending. Something is really not adding up.
Federal Road Maintenance Agency ( FERMA) should be scrapped. Why FERMA when there is Federal Ministry of Works?
