One of the best heavyweight champions of all time! Clearly beat Ali the 1st fight. Neither of them deserved to lose in Manilla. Great to see him look as good as he does after all the ring wars.
Sad they shut this museum down a few months after it opened, RIP smoking Joe Frazier. A great champion!

@frisbyrb5 Not to mention that Ali also fought Quarry and Bonavena on route to challenging Joe Frazier. Ali had lots of time to prepare. Also interesting to note that Max Schmeling won 3 out of 5 matches 8 years after his rematch with Joe Louis.

No one making excuse for Ali losing and I love Joe but let's be fair, after 3 years and 8 month layoff no way Ali had enough time to prepare for Joe. Not Joe's fault, Ali was trying to get money before Supreme Court decision that would come in June 1971. Ali fought Quarry in Oct 1970 Bonavena Dec 1970 and Frazier March 1971. That 3 fights in a little under 6 months come on man who does that today. In the meantime Frazier had 12 fight's during Ali exile.

Frazier whipped Ali's ass as in the fist fight made his jaw a swollen balloon. Ali even said he got wooped by Frazier and on his back side cos he never didnt pray to god and got to full of himself and than Norton wooped him braken his jaw prior to Frazier weaken it wen he left hooked him to the jaw floored him. in the second fight it was neck and neck Ali may of scored a few more points also clinch(unfair advantage even referee in manilla said he did that and grab back of neck) as well even having boxing experts like Jim lampy said it good of gone either way but Ali had a favour reputation BUT FRAZIER WASN'T BATTERED . George may crush Frazier but he crushed everyone including ken Norton in the heavyweight division so there no shame Ali had time to come up with rope a dope using forman advantage against him. And forman was a great fight came back at age 45 so no shame losing to him. In manilla Frazier was half blind dominated the middle rounds Ali closed his eye and was fighting sightless in 13 14 true warrior but Ali was dying of exhaustion so who know what would happen in 15th round cos wen fight ended Ali collapse to his stool and Frazier was standing and walking. POINT IS U CAN SAY ALI IS THE GREATEST BUT ALI EVEN SAID JOE IS RIGHT BEHIND HIM AND TOOK OFF HIS HAT SAYING HE IS ONE OF THE GREATEST CHAMPS OF ALL TIME AND TOUGHEST OPPONENT AND THAT HIS LEGACY WOULD BE DIMINSH WITHOUT FRAZIER
plus Ali did get Parkinson cos he fought to long after manilla did ten more fights last two was fighting with Parkinson but if he stopped after manilla he would still got it from the left hooks he took from Frazier both great champs and Ali fighting with Parkinson's shows how warrior he is rip Frazier and ali

@Hoopermazing ok ali had 3 years out, but thats not fraziers fault, his job was to beat him and he did, simple dont try making excuses, i reckon ken norton beat him aswell in there 2nd fight, i dont understand why u trying playdown fraiziers acheivements he beat ali, when ali said he was the greatest, he took all alis shit and threw it back in his face, both fighters legacys are greater for the fact they both fought 3 epic fights, they where made to face each other.

@Hoopermazing frazier was the first person to beat him, he schooled ali and bust him up, second fight, ali clinched and should of been deducted points, third fight, frazier had cataracts and fought with contacts in and still pushed him to his limit, fraziers alis nemesis simple as,ali was never the same after frazier had finished with him, george formans style was perfectly suited to beat frazier, with his uppercuts, you got to respect frazier for his spirit, mans a warrior.

Joe has so much more class then Ali. Frazier came up from nothing and made something out of himself. Such a great example for the kids.

Typical Ali fan, has to begin with an insult. No class at all. Ali was a great fighter but a terrible human being. He used crude stereotypes against blacks with darker skin then his.
I remember him calling Joe Louis an Uncle Tom. Ali couldn't carry Louis' jock strap.
No Ali said stuff in the moment but after apologise and it also brought the best out of Frazier he called Frazier one of the greatest let's look at Ali and Frazier as friends

@frisbyrb5 - You keep ignoring the fact that Ali hadn't fought in 3 years and had significant ring-rust. And still, Frazer barely beat him. Of course, in their 2 subsequent fights, Frazer lost both times, which is as it should be. Frazer is only significant as a footnote to the story of the G.O.A.T!

In the first fight Frazier beat him and Ali was still somewat prime material he had still lighting fast hand speed but not as good legs(I will give Ali that) and frazier bob weave slip slide ali best punches and took alis best punches in their scuffles and WON Ali was great to even Frazier was shock how quick Ali got up after the left hook that took him to the ground but the fact Frazier took him to the ground shows how Frazier was stronger than the two even they had fight sooner and Ali wasn't band Frazier prime can match Ali prime Frazier can close in on the butterfly he was a tank engines who kept pouring forward taking punches ali (relies on the distance) leaving no where for butterfly to float and frazier had fists of fury that can digg in to Ali. In their last fight Frazier was half blind u can and good I closed u can say if he had full vision he could of won but its still debatable cos in the actual fight they say Ali was exhausted but Frazier wanted to go on. @Hoopermazing Exactly , Frazier couldn't deal with big punchers like Foreman, and who knows if he could have survived a Earnie Shavers right hand . This is not to discredit Frazier because he was a great heavyweight that defeated a Ali who was still in his prime , and bad excuse for Ali not going to Vietnam when many Americans did and lost their life .
