Looks like you faced the seats backwards. You can see how the kayak has a pointed end with rocker. Even the racing stripes seem to show you which side is the front.
5 five minutes? yes, it can be done if you know howto do it. but if it's your first time to install it? it will take you 30 minutes to install. the owner's manual doesn't help much. I have to go to google, youtube and look at the picture on the box where to install the parts on the kayak.
I just do not understand. It takes maybe 15 minutes to blow up a kayak. It is good lung exercise. What are you afraid of? Fear seems to be the motivating factor these days?

Yeah bought one at Costco Xmas went to use it yesterday and the pump doesn't fit. I've seen numerous other people with the same complaint. Wtf Costco
