Season 2 Episode 1 "Beast Titan" - Розваги
This is one of the rare scenes where it's showcased how absolutely gigantic titans really are. It's easy to forget
Especially in 1:49
It's because they draw them with all kinds of different scaling. He became much smaller in later seasons compared to how he is depicted here. It's much better when they draw them more like this. It's one of many reasons the last season didn't feel the same as the others.
How is it easy to forget? we are constantly reminded, they are called titans and their whole deal is being giant monsters...
What I mean isn't that they're big, what I mean is -how- big. So big that the trees rustle when he squats down. So big he looks like a God. The scouts are often flying around with their ODM gear, scaling the titans, or standing on their shoulders or whatever so you get used to them just being big guys, and when they start killing them effortlessly in the later seasons they don't feel as big anymore.@@CMZneu
@@CMZneuoh we know they're big. But how big is a different thing. It's one thing to know the size of a giraffe. It's a different thing imagining standing next to one
This poor bastard has one of the most horrifying and vivid deaths in the whole show. Not only that, but at this point in time, no one on the island knows anything about titans, so when this one starts talking, there's nothing but horror and confusion. This dude died not only terrified, but so shocked and confused he could barely process it.
Yeah feel really bad for him.
spoiler alert:
Considering Zeke was one of them and wanted to "merci kill" them for the greater good, the way he treats/kills him is quite evil.
@@BeattapeFactory At this point this can't be a spoiler lol XD
@@MadaraUchiha-sx8mn maybe amigo for some crybabies
When I saw the beast titan for the first time bro felt like literal nightmare fuel LMAO. Was so shook.
I thought he was a peaceful type titan because he was smiling :) boy was I wrong
It was like 2am and I paused my TV mouth open like WTF IS THAT?!
My most vivid anime memory for real lol
Zeke’s Beast Titan is the best, most terrifying Titan.
And then he squeezes the regular titan like a grape for not listening?
Then Levi made him a joke😅
"Only when a person stops fighting do they lose."
There's also something to be said for picking your battles.
Thats not really how Japanese think though...
He would have never survived that siruation tho. He didn't have his gear so he couldn't escape to safety, the pure titans would have rushed him anyways when zeke left
I miss when the titans were animated like this, it's nice seeing the beast titan as not CGI
Plus the punchier contrast and color of the whole anime. It looks flat now and taken as is out of the manga
@@kebespi oh yeah, I didn't know how to put those thoughts together but it is true
i don’t mind the cgi for the rest of the titans but cgi does not do the beast titan justice
For me, i think its the design and the lack of having a consistent sense of scale.
Sometimes I forgot the Beast was 17m, essentially tower over all other titan shifters. For some reason in S4, he just never looked massive. Also, taking away his animalistic facial features like his lips, cheek bones, fur dynamic and eyebrows really made it harder for his presence in S4 to have the same effect as in S2 and 3. For me, personally.
The only time it did was when Eren's Founder summoned him to destroy the airships. Ironically, its when he was hand-drawn and looked his best/most terrifying.
@@user-sq9mm8kf1lur so right I completely agree with your statement especially the last part
I remember my own shock watching this scene. I wish I could forget this show so I could watch all the twists and turns again.
For real, can’t believe it’s over it feels just like yesterday.
Beast titan was like a God when he first got introduced or at least the boss
fr
The controller was a loser with daddy issues
Then Levi came and... well...
17m is like a 6 floor buidling in front of you
Anyone else feel really bad for the guy that dies here? I mean geez he was literally crying as he was being ripped to shreds I know he wasn’t a huge character but it was still really sad
Like he literally the 2nd strongest soldier after Levi and ofc everyone know this scene is very traumatic and unforgettable 💀
@@Micheal31046 fr😭
there's a lot of times in the show where people are crying while getting crushed by teeth or torn apart but yeah this one was pretty gruesome
@@TTInfiniteGaming yea😭
yeah he must've been thinking "if only i didn't make a move, maybe the titan wouldnt've commanded them to move again"
World's strongest Soldier and its 2nd strongest have a huge Gap of power between them
Paradis'**
Ackerman blood
😂😂
They dont. Miche had no chance because he was absolutely shocked by titan that can grab and throw things. Levi had a chance to know his enemy
@@user-fb6mr7ik6x Levi was shocked when all his subordinates turned into titans. He annihilated all of them singlehandedly and still have power to chase down Zeke. He's the real beast.
Seeing the titan speaks for the first time was absolutely crazy... everyone was super curious how this titan can speak and why he look like that??
the old days of not knowing anything about this anime was great!!
0:16 Attitude of that Titan😂
that was Shy Titan🤣🤣
bro was zesty af
@@TheDragonWarriorisasleep😂this ran through my mind when they showed him. Felt so outta place
@@TheDragonWarriorisasleep bro was acting like the sexual predator dinosaur
@@billyjoe8185 Edp as a titan ayo?
That way of killing him was brutal
The way mike died not knowing what the hell kind of titan zeke is plus this seemingly large thing is just throwing stuff at him and has the ability to speak the second strongest soldier got reduced to a begging mess when he died
"Im concerned about that abnormal"
Yeah me too
when the beast titan got introduced for the first time. we thought there has to be a kingdom of titans, were some special ones are smart enough to order others around.
that mankind devided themselves with chemical interactions and set mankind into two species and the titans saw themselves as the master race or something like that.
eren got his special power by accident and it was never intentional. the "smart" ones new about that and feard what could have happend, if that "human" happens to learn how to control that power and use it against them etc.
btw miche's va is the same as all might from boku no hero academia.
I love his main role was getting wrecked by Levi 5 times total throughout the anime XD
Only levi could handle him , and there's no one like Levi , just remove him and nobody on the island can handle him
@@mickyman753you're just gonna ignore the fact that Mikasa exists. She's no Levi, but she's pretty damn close. Especially if it has anything to do with Eren.
@@chill0314 bro Mikasa has got mad skills but she's not near Levi level , moreover when it comes to eren she uses her emotions more and gets more vulnerable to her anger or desperation to help him
Whereas Levi continues working even his complete squad gets killed or shifted to Titan and he needs to kill them to real his goal and he will do that without wasting time
@@chill0314 you saw what happened to Mikasa against the female Titan? And you saw how Levi handle the female Titan now with that information you can put together if Mikasa can beat the beast titan Annie is weaker than the armored Titan and the armored Titan lost badly to the beast titan so therefore Mikasa won't stand a chance unless Eren is there to help her Levi beats off titans I honestly wished he fought the war hammer titan instead of Eren and Mikasa also you saw how Eren lost to the war hammer? If not for Mikasa helping him he would be dead
@@chill0314She's nowhere close. She's as strong as 100 men while Levi is as strong as 4000 men. He's 40 times stronger than her.
Man take me back to the beginning 😎
Beast titan acted dumb and attacks when the enemy lowers his guard.
This dude was one of the best titan killers they had too, so when he got taken down so easily, the stakes got a lot higher...
He didn't stood a chance in this scene
@@user-kl8ef2fu7qHe was petrified/in shock, fighting back wasn't possible, also that small titan injured his legs.
I’m not even paying attention to the rest, the poor horse got squished and thrown 😢😢😭😭
I watched yesterday Miche dying.
Absolutely terrifying.
Bro was not Levi
Even though it’s fiction, it’s difficult to watch someone being completely helpless as they are being eaten alive.
That horse screech always give me chills
Imagine how much better the group in Utgard castle would've faired had Miche been there.
Как же wit круто анимирует... Тот редкий случай когда аниме нарисована лучше оригинала...
1:07 his arms length is the same as height of his body
Long ah arms
Ya because longer arms are better for throwing so it makes sense
@@FizCap yeah but that’s too long
I find him really horryfing for that. This absolute massive and broad body with thin looooong arms. Ugh
Monke moment....Chimps have long-ass arms
I always said he shouldn’t have picked up his sword and screamed at the end. I liked to see Mike more on future episodes, he seemed somewhat cool
He was dead anyway, the ab broke his legs, the titans would eventually get him
@@mdb45424but beast Titan didnt command to attack hım until he screamed and tried fight back maybe if he stayed silence he could Been survived
@@user-bq1ns7yj8q I feel like once Zeke was "out of range" they'd regress to standard Titan behavior
@@TheBfutgregYeah same, like if he left them standing there they would eventually start moving again.
@@Luftwaffle_32yeah, Plus let's not forget that Zeke probably doesn't want any rumors of a talking titan on the island, he may get hunted down by the survey corps way earlier on the show, that's probably another reason why he killed Mike
He hasnt got plot armor like reiner
I like how you can feel how absolutely terrifying this is for him man the way he buries his face in the ground and covers his ears you can get a feel for how scary this would be
If I saw a 17 metre giant monkey talking to me, I'd probably think I'm in the Twilight Zone.
(17m is about 56 feet)
1:59
Hmm. Monke.
the finale series isn't even about killing titans anymore.
1:59 the beast titan looks so creepy with his eerie smile
The little titan that started eating him was Connie’s sibling 😢
Really?! That's horrible 😰
0:16 got me dying
Beast titan is give me pure fear
Legendary character
Poor guy.. so terrifying.
Esa muerte, cuando apenas salió ese capitulo, ver esa escena, escuchar los gritos de agonía de Mike, enserio me hicieron sentir una fuerte impotencia y terror, logre sentir, las suplicas y gritos de agonía de Mike/That death, when that episode had just come out, watching that scene, hearing Mike's screams of agony, seriously made me feel a strong sense of helplessness and terror. I managed to feel Mike's pleas and screams of agony.
anyone else got goosebump and scared during this scene?
Beast titan didn't know about Levi until later on, then he was the one frightened
sick throw!
the moment we jojo fans heard dios voice
wit studio is something else man the look the feeling it's so good too bad the didn't make they later seasons 💔
2:31 that bold accent from the beast titan just to emphasis the horror, wit knew what they were doing💀
I thought animal titans were real animals, I was so wrong about this (also remember opening scene where we saw like 8 animals showed as titans?)
Yea wtf was that intro about
sasageyo is the name of the opening and yeah I use to thought of that way as well. Since the series continues with whatever the hell it is now I guess not 🤷🏻
“Ah, so you do know how to speak”
I like how Levi will later demystify the beast titan and make everyone understand that, well he's not that big of a deal
I like how in the past, every weird looking titan is just classified as abnormal
If you’re reading this comment and haven’t watched the series but are interested, please do that.
This is the kind of scene where I feel bad for people that don’t get to experience it their first time as a surprise in the show.
This was one of the most interesting and unsettling moments in the whole show to me, where you first get a glimpse of how much more complex the undiscovered truth about the titan world is than it seemed. The beast’s face first looking down at him was so creepily sentient.
Yeah at first I thought zeke was just a smart titan, not a titan shifter, because he seemed a lot less knowledgeable than the other 3
Beast jst might have let mike live , if he had a pleasant man to titan conversation wid him.
most horrifying and vivid deaths in the whole show.
He was a Soldier, and A soldier's Death he Received.
Frightened or not, ....................may he Feast in Valhalla.
Мик😢 как бы хотела чтобы этот персонаж жил подольше
The thing I’m wondering is when he was deciding if he should leave or wait until nightfall what if he took out the abnormal smaller ones and then it was just Zeke I wonder if he would have let him live.
Ironic that he said your dead when you stop fighting. He was frozen in fear long enough for the beast titan to take away his gas, thats precisly when he stopped fighting. When he screamed it was too late and didnt notice he had stopped.
His legs were broken it'd be impossible to use gear as you need perfect balance. He's was cooked the moment he was caught offguard
@@xenogaming9600 ur right his legs were broken. I never imagined u really need ur legs for the gear though as u could compensate with ur arms and leaning with just ur hips.
This is fantasy so who knows
Tell me what is that weapon challed
This was so brutal and horrifying
Mitch had exceptional talent and discipline but wasn't street smart like Levi, he fought Titans but he had more of a "training by the books" type of training. As a result he couldn't quickly adapt to new knowledge, out of ordinary elements and just froze in place, sadly. With his skills he could have made it to the final episode otherwise 😔
Definitely one of the most gruesome death scenes ever
Zeke taking the gear with him went nowhere
He should've stayed quiet and got back that intel to the others
When he squished that big eyed titan ,for me it looked cute
Heh......... You forget, as soon as Mike was almost eaten, and TRYS to understand what he is witnessing... Not only is this Tall is Titan, but grabbing his horse and throwing it towards him, knocking him off the roof.
BUT, what is M O R E terrifying is that This Titan .... SPEAKS!! After that, the Titan was Not getting a response thus, instructs other Titans to "move" and ......... TEARING Mike Apart!!
Gruesome!!! 🤢🤮
I always felt bad for the horse
and then Levi come's 😂😂
look at that is a monke titan
I wonder if he would have lived if he didn’t yell
probably
Now we have, MONKE TITAN
Where did those eyes disappear to?
They evaporated quickly.
😮
Mike morreu no momento em que foi sozinho matar os Titãs puros. Se ele fosse com mais pessoas, provavelmente o Titã Bestial não teria feito nada. RIP
For me the 1 and 2 Season was the best 😢
Same. Later seasons don't have the same level of fantastical mystery that got me into AOT in the first place
Juan, NO!
2:49 its odd gear
Mike could absolutely destroy Zeke if he wasn’t caught of gaurd
1:33 so are we just going to ignore how he survived getting hit by a big ass horse going at that speed?
He dodged it, but he needed to move so fast it sent him over the edge of the roof....that's how I understand it anyway
why the fuck didn't he answer Zeke... he might have kept his equipment... omg... And also WHY ON EARTH DID HE SCREAM? Had he kept his mouth shut Zeke might have forgotten about him
The questions that everybody had😂
Nah even if Zeke didn’t say anything he was gonna get eaten by those titans around him once he left. He was already crippled and out of gas so he was a goner either way
There wasn't much Mike could have done; with no gas, he wouldn't have been able to go for the Titan's napes or escape. Zeke was only keeping him alive to learn about the ODM and how it worked. Unless a miracle Levi were to suddenly appear out of the bushes at that instant for a rescue, the poor guy was doomed once Zeke got what he wanted and told the Titans they could have the scout.
Danm 1:40
Kono zeke da
If only bro had that Ilse Langnar drive. Would have had Zeke running for the hills with questions.
der schurke des DA-sitzungsangriffs..
1:28 my cousin when i let him hold my hamster
Poor hourse 😅😂😢
Did anyone notice how the horse fall on him
I feel bad😂😂😂
Is it true that this happened at the same time Annie was captured?
yup
Monke.
After rewatching this scene, I am with Eren
Brain rotted

S1 and S2 are so much better than the nonsense this show became by the last season. Feels like a completely different show.
whats wrong with season 4 in your opinion?
@@kingslayerx1716 Everything
@@JesusChrist2000BC so I take it you don’t really like the basement plot twist
@kingslayerx1716 Meh basement reveal and Marley was fine. But ultimately the show got away from its initial premise and started to turn into too much darkness and that's when it lost me. Really enjoyed the exploration and theme of 1 and 2.
@@JesusChrist2000BCno the reveal was the actual start of the downfall of the series, it turned into a story about humans are the "real enemies". Having them fight other humans at end of the series could have worked but in the end it didn't
