RIP maestro James.R. Horner. Magnificent soundtrack.
I miss him very much.
The part where the astronauts are finally getting suited and buckled in is reminiscent of ancient knights being prepared by their squires for battle. The music has a sacral tone, and it reinforced the solemnity of the ritual.
“Failure is not an option.”
Houston, we have a performance!
James would be proud of this..🥺🥺
I am 36 now. But I listened to the Apollo 13 soundtrack countless times as a kid and teenager. That I still can quote all the movie lines they added into it. Such an amazing film and they way they filmed this movie is just something so unique and I wish studios still did rather than AI or CGI....
Five.......... Ron Howard
Four........... Special Effects kick ass!
Three.......... Realism
Two ............ True Story, this s**t actually happened
One.......... If they could make a washing machine fly, my Jimmy could land it...... Grandma wasn't wrong!
"Attention all concert hall musicians. Give me a go/no-go for piece."

Makes me cry everytime. Makes me remember the people I have lost over the years. My parents, my former romantic partners whom I pushed away due to fear...
This movie first aired when I was a young teen. A time when I, for the most part, felt safe.
Humans are capable of such amazing beauty and yet also of such amazing cruelty and ugliness
Your comment actually hit home my friend, and by the looks of that 81, we are the same age...🤜🤛
When that choir kicks in. Chills.
It is the reason I never leave a movie before the credits end. No way am I missing something that great just because the screen is covered in names.
My favorite movie of all time just so happens to have one of the greatest scores ever written. The two together create nothing short of a masterpiece.
"It's not a miracle, we just decided to go."
As much as I love The Launch, Master Alarm, and Re-Entry and Splashdown, if I had to condense this great score to under six minutes, I would have done it no differently.
At 2:45
So sad, Jim Lovell is daydreaming being on the moon’s surface, and he couldn’t be there in person.😢
I love the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, I wished for the to do Assassin's Creed and they did it. I watched Apollo 13 only yesterday and said wouldn't it be cool if they did it and they have. I am from England and one day I will ride over on my bike and watch them live.
Love that movie -- and the score!
Words cannot adequately convey my joy hearing this. There are many tears in my eyes.
I wish I lived during this time. Such a great piece of American history.
Shoutout to team that miked up the concert hall and mixing this together. High-end stuff going here
I can close my eyes and drift away back to when I saw this film for the first time... it's a pure masterpiece the perfectly fits the film, and the Danish National Symphony Orchestra played it to perfection. Many thanks to this wonderful orchestra for sharing their amazing work once again. 🙂
Amazing. Brings tears to my eyes.
I just binged all your videos from the last couple of years and they are all amazing. I'd love to see the orchestra live some day. Makes me really miss my orchestra performance days.
Another outstanding performance. It is one thing to listen to a piece of music but to watch the musicians perform the music and see their passion, brings the music to another level.
Just perfect. This orchestra is simply the best in performing filmmusic live. Outstanding performance by the musicians, chorus and technical crew. They never disappoint you.
Trumpet player balls of steel
Superb rendition I went to see this film 7 times at the cinema this brings back memories thx👏👏
The Best orchestra in grandma Europe😁❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

well done guys & galls,i'm currious what the next one will be 👍
0:41 Ladies and gentlemen. Please rise for the National Anthem of the Human Race...
Another outstanding performance by this orchestra. I'm sure considering the dinamic's between the orchestra & the actor's is a very wonderful show all put together is a wonderful thing. Keep up the great work.
Spectacular performance as ever, never disappointed!
masterpiece feels full of courage and Victory i should see this movie
Ein guter Film und ein guter Soundtrack. Gut dargeboten und gespielt. Vielen Dank! 😀😀😀
Erstklassig arrangiert und wunderbar gespielt. Vor allem der mehrstimmige Chorsatz und die Dynamik des Orchesters geht voll unter die Haut. Danke für die grandiose Qualität.
What I would give to hear you perform Bill Conti's The Right Stuff suite.
Simply beautiful!
I like the music of James Horner, it reminds me of Aaron Copeland’s music. You guys should do Appalachian Spring Orchestra suit.
He ripped off Copland pretty blatantly in the American Tale scores. Not a criticism, just sayin', if you want more of that sound.
James Horner would have been proud.
Virkelig fantastisk udgave... tænk det snart er 30 år siden.
Just beautiful.
Beautiful
Großartige Darbietung.
Vielen Dank
Masterpiece
RIP James Horner
Loved it!
Toller Hörgenuss
🥰🥰👍👍👍
wonderfull. :)
Magnific!
Excelente!
So long this!!!!
Fantastisk!
A muscular piece.
Keep making amazing music
I just read the wiki on DNSO; wow the oldest orchestra in Europe, dating back centuries; this is a fitting piece for group of men and women who are without doubt the best in their respective classes, world class players and singers too.
It's not the same orchestra. DNSO is from 1925. You are thinking of The Royal Danish Orchestra, a Danish symphony orchestra that can trace its roots back to the trumpet corps founded by Christian I in 1448.
Hm... May be I should go to Denmark and live near Koncerthuset to listen all the concerts?
Denmark need skilled people, just about any trade will do.
Smukt , simpelthen bare smukt . Gad godt sidde på en af rækkerne og bare suge stemningen ind . 😊
Det var godt

Please don't add these Upcoming videos to your playlists, whenever UA-cam gets to them it stops playing the list. Obviously UA-cam needs to fix this, but until then, please don't.

Go after you know who
I hope that when Elon Musk lands on the moon on starship, he can bring Jim Lovell with him. Hes in his 90s though.
why is no one talking about the mannequin??
