- The LDS Church teaches that we should be as sin-free as possible so we can recognize promptings of the Holy Ghost. But some "sinners" also feel the Holy Ghost. Can the Holy Ghost dwell in unclean temples? Kurt Francom will answer that question. He'll also talk about his interfaith work with Pastor Jeff McCullough @HelloSaints . The thing that I am perplexed with about the coffee and tea when there are indeed many health benefits. Right in the wow it says that it is given without constraint. Joseph continued to drink wine at weddings and social gatherings. He drank coffee. It wasn't until later on that they started playing with making it a commandment. One of the presidents, I think it was Wilford Woodruff, not sure, who wanted to take it to the next level of not eating meat when the D&C 49 clearly tell us that if a man says not to eat meat that is not ordained of God. Our leaders make a lot of mistakes then have to go back and clean it up. I have kept the word of wisdom, except getting enough sleep, to a T.
We visit another church every Easter. We attend our LDS services, then the other church. In the months before Easter, we ask the kids and kick around ideas about which service to attend.
In the last 7-8 years since we started doing this, we've enjoyed/appreciated many variations of Christianity -- Catholic, Protestant mega churches, Community of Christ/former RLDS, and others. We will eventually visit a synagogue and a mosque, if possible...
I like that a lot.
I always miss Lutheran candle light service on Christmas Eve. So we go!
How do we know that the girl was pregnant by a boyfriend? It could have been her father or any other rape that she kept to herself.
She didn't say she was raped and wanted to keep the child.

@@GospelTangents I think I am starting to understand. She said that she and her boyfriend got together. You see, I have known girls who got pregnant from the father, relative or family friend and was either too scared to say who it was or they were trying to protect the perpetrator.
