    I bought one of these and I love it! I've tried other plastic bobbin shuttles and none of them worked right. The bobbins would get stuck and I couldn't unwind my thread, or they'd get too loose and fall out and the bobbins themselves were so flimsy that they'd actually bend in the middle where the bobbin is when I was using it. My favorite shuttle is the little clover shuttles so when I saw this one I was so thrilled! I ordered it right away and love using it. It's really comfortable to use and the bobbin works perfect. The shuttle itself is made out of very durable plastic and doesn't bend in the middle like the other brands did. So no more too lose or too tight bobbins. Yay! And to top it all off, I'm a needle tatter who does some shuttle work. So if I, a needle tatter, can fall in love with this shuttle I know shuttle tatters will absolutely love it! I also got the case and it's very well made. Things are snug enough to stay in their place but it's easy to get things out. I'm definitely going to be ordering another shuttle.

    I just purchased this case with gauges and a shuttle bobbin set at the 2018 Stitches West convention yesterday, and because I am such a newbie I almost thru the washers away. lol I was soooo exited to get my hands on everything. I did exactly what you said - I just tossed the packaging in the trash and jumped on UA-cam for more info. Thanks for this video, I went back and found the package and reclaimed the booklet and my 2 sets of bobbin washers.

    Did you ever do the video on how to wind the bobbins with a winder? I can't seem to find it in the huge number of video you have (probably my failing not yours). I have a pair of these shuttles arriving today.

    .I love the bobbin clovers. I'm not a liker of clovers...the clicking drives me crazy when loading and when trying to tat in a quiet environment (think a meeting that I'm on by default) the clicking when I need more thread...the new bobbin clovers!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am really loving them...they won't replace my GR8's and ST nor the pop a bobbins from Jane but they are a good one that fits in a tiny space better!

      I have to agree with you. I like the post shuttles because of the amount of thread it holds when using larger threads. The bobbin shuttles give you the quiet you need at times and are easy travel companions. So perks on both sides. I think these clovers though will be another fav of mine. I played with it some and I am really liking how well it tats. I don't advise though using the bobbin winder from singer. It gives out on these bobbins and you have to keep re-starting it. I will try winding on the sewing machine next and see how well that works out. Happy Tatting

    Have you posted the video using these shuttles? I haven't been able to find it & I'm debating buying them. They look neat! I prefer post shuttles over bobbins & large Clovers are my absolute favorites. I don't like the other bobbin shuttles for the very reasons you mentioned.

      No I haven't as of yet. Life has seemed to of gotten in the way of my fun lately. LOL. However I will say I use these personally and never liked a bobbin shuttle until now. I love the ease of installing them and they hold up very well. I use mine all the time now. I hope that helps you. Happy Tatting.

      It does help yes. I went ahead & ordered regardless but I wanted to see it. I found a Japanese video but it was limited in what it showed. I haven’t had a chance to play yet but I’m looking forward to it when it get home from work today. I bought both colours & both sets of spare bobbins. I don’t like brown but wanted it. It felt really good to load but no tatting as of yet.
      I look forward to seeing your video when you get it up.

      Hi Joan. The past couple years has been hard to be able to make videos. I take care of my mother that has dementia and we are currently trying to place her in a nursing facility as it has come to that time. After the first of the year I plan on getting back into the videos and the many things I have had to let go so I could take care of mom. I will show how to use the winder as one of the videos. I can't say when it will be released however but if your subscribed then it will notify you of new releases. Thank you and Happy Tatting

    I did see these shuttles at sew expo here in Washionton. The case doesn't work with aerlit bobbins and it was mostly ok with the shuttles themselves however at the time I didn't have my clover shuttles with me only my aerlit. Does the case also fit the normal small clover shuttles? I'm guessing they do since they are shorter and thinner. I just wanted confirmation. Thank you.

    Ok, I got my Clover bobbin shuttle in the mail today. It is the first time I have tried a bobbin shuttle. Having a little trouble trying to figure out just which way the bobbin goes in once I have it loaded up with thread. I know the thread comes out the back, but does the thread seem to come out the pointed part or does it seem to exit towards the other end? Does it really matter which way? Am I making sense here? I love the regular Clover shuttles, as they are my favorite ones to use, so I thought why not try these out.

      It depends what is comfortable for you. I insert the bobbins so the thread exits from the lower part of the shuttle. Some people insert the bobbin so the thread exits the top.

      Hi and thank you for watching. The thread actually will come out the side at the back of the shuttle if you want the pick end to face forward. It will come out towards the front if you want the pick to go towards the palm of your hand. I hope that helps you. Happy Tatting

    Just wondering if you have tried winding the bobbins, for this Clover shuttle, on a bobbin winder, whether it be on a sewing machine winder, or a portable winder? I have tried to use my sewing machine to wind the bobbins, but that didn't seem to work. I also tried to use the "sidewinder" to wind the bobbins. Same thing, no go with that either.

    • @georgiaseitzonlineadvanced2259
      @georgiaseitzonlineadvanced2259  7 років тому +2

      yes I have wound them on both my machine and the sidewinder bobbin winder. They come with 2 clear plastic rings taped to the inside of the instruction booklet. Use one or 2 if necessary. My machine uses one of the plastic rings and the sidewinder bobbin winder used both rings. However the sidewinder seemed to slow down as the bobbin got full so I opted to just use my sewing machine and it works perfectly. I have a Janome sewing machine and it took one of the plastic rings only. Some machines will require both the plastic rings. Hope that helps you. Happy Tatting

      Thanks for the reply. I did try both my sewing machine winder as well as the sidewinder, and both of those I did use the plastic rings that came with the shuttle. I was trying to wind size 20 thread. Maybe it is not possible to wind thread of that thickness? I don't know, but I will give it another go. I think I may have to adjust the tension of my machine, although I did adjust it, but still had no go of it.
