It's all about the process and you showed me almost every major step. Thank You. Just ordered the kit because of your build. I think I was most amazed by your free hand cutting of the tape squares. Also, telling everyone that it took 3 days to mask the vertical stripes is very helpful.
I can watch the whole day/night to see how you do this amazing modelling of ships 👍 I like the details!!!! You are a absolute unbelieveble proffesional.💕 Thank you for sharing this with us👍
I was stationed on the first LPD Raleigh LPD-1 and I think you did a great job, especially with the well deck. I wish they made a model of my ship in this size. Luckily for me they made the ships in my battle group in 1/700 size and after your video, I'm inspired to build them now, I have the helos for the USS SAIPAN.and a Navy ship PE kit to build all three but wish I had more decals. Great Job, Haze Grey and underweigh.
Amazing to see the amount of detail you added to an otherwise 'simple' looking kit........i also want to move to where you live and open a tamiya masking tape shop
Amazing. I thought the project was finished and then you did the aircraft. I thought it was finished again, and then you did the LCAC and LCU...And then you did all those vehicles! Superb
Excellent work! Currently she is in drydock, just got repainted and we are working hard to get her back in the water on the anniversary date of that which the ship represents. "Never Forget"
Nice modelling, I liked the weathering detail on the exterior. It is how I'd imagine a warship to look after spending a few months on deployment. The small cranes hidden in the wells for the inflatables also look great with a lot of detail to bring the eye in.
thanks to this video i decided to built my own. although i only bought the trumpeter without the extra photo etch. (too expensive haha) and following this video i am extremely happy with how it turned out. although i didnt have the patience for the square padding or oil canning :/. yours is perfection!
I was on USS San Antonio LPD 17 for 4 years. It was the First ship in the Class. Even though it was 15 or so years ago i could board the ship with my eyes closed and still to this day navigate my way around the ship.
I love British warships, generally I find them to be the best looking designs. However, this design of LPD's is simply stunning. What a great looking ship, very well done!
un trabajo excepcional, le felicito, solo ponerle una pega en las lanchas de desembarco ha colocado las piezas de artillería solas, tiene que ir con los camiones de arrastre, no pueden estar solas, por lo demás me quito el sombrero
I visited that ship when it came to Ft. Lauderdale, FL on its Maden active voyage. It's bow contains 12 tons od steel from the World Trade center. It was a joy to visit and a pleasuse watching you build it. I am an avid model builder for over 50 years and never get tired of learning something new. You are a true artist and you deserve all the accolades that you receive. Thank you for teaching an old man new ideas.
very very cool, Ive spent a lot of time on other LPDs in that class, The Somerset and Green Bay, and you nailed it. Only other piece I have to say on it is that AAVs dont ride on LCUs or LCACs, they make their way to and from the ship on their own, and also M60 tanks were out of service long before the San Antonio class first launched.
At first i skipped the parts when he was opening the model. Then i read the caption and it was more interesting than i thought. So went back to the start to be able to watch it properly lol.
Excellent job. That's why I don't build ships. If I did, I would love to have that level of work and unfortunately, I do not have the patience for that.
Excellent build, no doubt! As you are attempting to achieve full details and accuracy, I do have one error to point out. The American flag (48:19) is not correct. The star field only contains 48 stars making it a WWII era detail, which would not be flown on a modern warship. ;-)
How do you find out about all the details that you add, like the weld lines and the placement of the anti slip squares. Where do you find this information out?

Another Gator here. USS Shreveport, LPD 12. Sure an interesting video to watch, isn’t it!
Thank you for your service, Mr. Bergeron. What was your rank and MOS, please?
Who else is just amazed at this video and just stares at it for the full 50 min smiling? ... Brilliant 👍👍⚓

“All hands on deck !!! “ One amazing model ? Great job!

That's amazing. I want to take a look.

I have never seen such creative masking work. Gobsmacking. ❤️

@@Litten260 I don’t think he was implying it was I think he was just stating he loves British warships just words got a little muddled up
A master modeler and a master artist and a master craftsman.
Great work! I visited the San Antonio a few years ago on an exercise. I was on one of the LCAC hovercrafts.

조선소에서 배를 만드는것 같은 느낌이 들었습니다. 대단하십니다
Great job on the USS New York
I love those mini lav 25s and aav7a1s on the lcacs
Для того, чтобы почувствовать, что такое проклейка при покраске палуб кораблей, я построил Синано в 1250th. 😅
Работа автора в видео завораживает.
Absolutely stunning work my friend! Congrats on a great build 👍🍺
Excellent job. That's why I don't build ships. If I did, I would love to have that level of work and unfortunately, I do not have the patience for that.
This is beautifully done! Nice to see a modern day vessel for a change. BTW, does anyone make a kit of the hovercrafts these ships carry?
trumpeter does.
Shear beauty..makes me want to build a modern age ship !!!

Childhood friend just shipped out on one of these this week.
I would love to see you build a Warhammer 40k Land Raider. Your skills are amazing.
Great Work.
Supreme build.

Where did you get those cutters? Great build.
Wish I could get one of the USS Fort McHenry LSD 43 . I was a Marine on this ship During Desert Shield/Storm Blt.1/4 13th Meu .
👏👏👏👏👏
Very much well done!!
How do you find out about all the details that you add, like the weld lines and the placement of the anti slip squares. Where do you find this information out?
I wish you could combine all DD models and just make a mixed carrier fleet with CVs
Hell yes omg make an entire fleet diorama
Take like 2 years building it tho 🥴
It's my wish, but it's going to take a long time.
awesome job 👍👌
Nice job!
Безмерно круто!!
Amazing ,great job, congratulations.

A real masterpiece.!!
Where did you get the decals for the helipad? I have both the kit decals and the pontos decals but…?
What color did you use to paint exhaust ducts?
거의 예술작품이네요 ㅎㄷㄷ
I’d love to know where I can get the display stands that you’re using here
i loved the vid, but what is the brand of the model helicopters? Also where can i find this product, and the ship?
Awesome work and thats a lot of masking tape... can you tell which glue you are using, esp. for the etch parts?
Awesome job 👌
How did you glue the already painted parts?
awesome build and video..but the musick that starts around 27 mins in has stuck in my head..any chance anyone knows what it is called ?
Great work !
where did you get the brass stands from great work though
売っていますか? (また、あなたは才能のある絶対に素晴らしい仕事です👏)
Are you selling? (Also absolutely awesome work you are talented 👏)
Magnifique, the big boss. 😃👍
