With Muse, you need to check out their live performances. They're voted the Best Live Band for years for a reason.
Edit: check out their live version on Glastonbury 2004 or PinkPop or Wembley Stadium. Sadly the studio version has been compressed so it didnt do them justice.

Stockholm has been my favorite Muse song for years. The first time I got to see them live (which is an absolute necessity), they played this. Not even ashamed to say to say that I cried and lost my ever loving shit lol.

They are incredible live, but it's worth hearing the studio version before you listen to live recordings, because they meddle with the composition a fair bit live. Then you have the "ideal" in your head to compare against the live version.

Other people have said it but yeah - I struggle to listen to this song as the studio version now because the chorus just feels like it drops out too much. This song at Glastonbury 2004 is the perfect version of this song. It was the last song in the set so he absolutely went for it with the vocals.

If you can find pro-shot footage of Live versions, they are recommended. The mixing isn't amazing on earlier albums and they don't capture what they are like live that well on Studio recordings.

@@gmetzgermusic For Assassin, please use the "Live At The Forum Los Angeles 2008" version rather than 2015 one, they sounded way better back then, trust me
@@Neorigg Just no, Mayan 2015 is miles better than Los Angeles 2008. In person it might have been different but the UA-cam quality for Los Angeles 2008 is so bad, sound for drums and bass is low and muffed, guitar does not sound as good, quality overall is just so bad. Don't bring energy and rawness up because I just rewatched it and while Muse did have more raw energy in their earlier days, Mayan ,2015 sounds and feels way more energetic than Los Angeles 2008.

@@letiquia i really disagree with you, im not talking about audio quality (which I think is good in the 2008 version) but about their real instruments sound, Dom’s drum kit is sucking ass since 2013, his snare drum is tuned so ducking low his symbals have no sustain which make any heavy song sound not heavy at all. And Matt’s guitar tone sounds very bad and too bassy especially during the bridge.

Thanks for reacting to Muse but...you HAVE to react to Muse Live. It's the only live band that are actually better live than on their studios albums. They add so many rifts
Just have to intervene and say that Muse isnt the only band better live then on the album. Rammstein is just that with all the crazy pyro and the music itself. Im not saying that Rammstein is better live then Muse, just that both are fantastic. =)
@@hydralance8837 for me, Rammstein is too much about props. It's a bit like a circus.
@@natski2403 Muse uses a ton of props in their lates live shows aswell. I think props elevates the music to make your experience of the show unforgettable. And that is great!
