Thank you so much. This was, in fact, the original version, and I had it translated in Spanish for Bots in The Trees. I appreciate your kind words . Blessings, Wendy
Beyond the mythological and character context, this video vividly captures the deep emptiness of the soul when it experiences overwhelming loss or sorrow. Even the end when she is walking away, to me she seems more of a ghost of herself, shell rather than a vibrant living Being. Bravo Wendy and Timothy. Making videos like this is expensive, but there's real talent here.
@@WendyRuleMusic I'm sorry. I forgot to say you're welcome. You and Tim are extraordinarily talented. I'm glad you stayed independent, free to express what you feel.
This song has deeply haunted me ever since hearing it in Boys in Trees. Its so fascinating to learn the real lyrics and inspiration for its origin. Thank you Ms. Wendy for producing this mournful work of art and lending it your beautiful soulful voice.🖤
Thank you Morgana. it was originally written in English, then I had it translated into Spanish to play La Llorona in Boys in the Trees in 2016 . So glad that you've seen both versions.
The completion of a 51 year journey , I personally found in this song alone and it's production. May others find what they need here as well. MORE GRATTIUDE to you ,than you could know in your WORK SWEAT TOIL TEARS and much more, in this song , and all YOU have done did for HER and so many ,i feel by this production alone. I AM POSITIVE there is MUCH MORE and looking forward to hearing and seeing more. Blessed BE , With Purrfect Love and Trust -AutMn. the M stands for many things.
Ok.... So first of all stunning and everything else everyone is thinking.... But second and I can't make this a big enough deal..... The Marimba, the rolls weren't bad I wish it was staggered sticking so it wasn't just an arpeggiation... But that's not my most damn point by a longshot!!! Dear listener... Why??? Why a Marimba. And I'm a percussionist... It just seems like a bit of a choice... Like did the producer have the master and was like "ya know the song is great, but ya know what'll really put some tits on it................(long pause)..... You guessed it, a mid quality Marimba rolls that well just kind of tak on in post!!!" All the record execs begin a resounding applause.
Beautiful English version.Such a desolate and haunting song. Like others, I heard it first on Boys in the Trees. So lovely x
