As a complete group, there are 9 members - Xiumin, Suho (leader), Baekhyun, D.O., Lay, Chen, Chanyeol, Kai and Sehun. Lay is the sole Chinese member who is still a part of the group but because of tense relations between China and S Korea as well as his hectic schedule as a solo artist, he is not touring with the group (you should check out his MV - Honey); two are in the military (Xiumin and D.O.) so right now they are a group of 6. There are so many MVs for this group that you would enjoy...you will not regret your EXO experience!

Ok, EXO the vocal kings hahaha So, I don't know if anyone has already explained, but all Exo's mvs are connected, since their debut. They are aliens coming from EXO planet. Each one of them has a power (such as fire, water, teleportation ...), and they use those powers to fight against the Red Force. There are many theories about the storyline, but most of them claiming that Exo was caught by the Red Force and were used as test subjects for experiments. In this MV we see Exo vs X-Exo (which are the clones of Exo, made by the Red Force). Here is some information about EXO that I hope will help answer most of your questions. EXO's concept and storyline is kind of complicated, so in order to understand what is happening in their MVs you need to understand their origin story. As you might have noticed, EXO is known for their vocals and for their dancing. As an SM Entertainment group its really no surprise that the members are all amazing singers and dancers because that's just a fact about the type of people that SM selects to be a part of its company. SM has become known for its amazing vocalists and dancers and that is why its one of the big 3 entertainment companies in Korea and around the world (JongDae -- stage name Chen -- was the member with the epic high note in the "Obsession" MV.) EXO currently has 9 members (originally 12) and all of them are amazing vocalists, however, 2 are considered the group's main/lead rappers (Chanyeol and Sehun), but there are several other members that are sub-rappers as well. If you follow SM Entertainment groups, you will soon discover that all of SM's rappers were actually chosen to become trainees for their vocal and/or dancing skills. All of SM's rappers learned to rap, or at least became good at it, after they joined the company. Therefore, all of SM's artists are amazing vocalists, as well as really good rappers. SM is known for having some of the best vocalists and dancers in the industry and the members of EXO are proof of that. EXO's MVs are kind of like a movie -- its a movie that has been going on for the past 7 years and it has no sign of coming to an end any time soon. But at this point its going to be kind of hard for you to fully understand what is happening in the storyline of EXO's MVs, unless you become really dedicated to EXO and really spend some time getting to know them and their story. And not only that, but EXO aren't even human, so that throws an even more complicated concept into the mix. LOL But to help you begin to understand why we say its hard to explain things to you ... here is some information about EXO. To truly understand EXO you need to understand that EXO debuted in 2012. "Mama" is EXO's debut song and MV and It is how EXO was introduced to the world and it explains the group's concept. So to really understand EXO you need to start from the very beginning and watch both of their "Mama" MVs. From day one, EXO's concept is that they are aliens from planet EXO and they came to Earth with superpowers to protect the Tree of Life from the Red Forces. Each of the members has a superpower that is unique to them and almost every MV will have at least one, if not all of them, using their powers. Exo, as in exoskeleton, means "outer," so as a member of EXO they are outside the ordinary.The group's concept comes from the real term exoplanet, which is a term that is used for a planet that is outside our solar system, so their name was chosen to represent the fact that they are stars that are "out of this world" when it comes to their talents. EXO's concept is also connected to real life planetary and solar events so all of EXO's comebacks and new song releases for the main group of EXO are all connected to when eclipses and other planetary phenomenons take place. For example, their comeback for their "War" album and "Power" album coincided with when we had a solar eclipse, etc. SM Entertainment, and its founder, Lee SooMan, has all of EXO's release dates and concepts planned out for years in advance, and it all has something to do with real celestial events that are predicted to take place. So what you saw in the "Obsession" MV was that their doppelgangers were actually clones and they were using their superpowers, such as Chanyeoul with his fire power, to fight their other selves. You see the planet on fire in the end of the MV because its supposed to show how the world is coming to an end as EXO and X-EXO battle for control, etc.The story in this MV is the latest installment of their epic story that has been playing out over the past 7+ years and its only a piece of EXO's larger storyline. Now you also need to know that In the beginning there was 12 members and they were split up into 2 groups EXO-K and EXO-M. EXO-K sang and performed their songs in Korean and EXO-M sang and performed those same songs in Mandarin Chinese. EXO-K had 6 Korean members and EXO-M had 4 Chinese members and 2 Korean members. So to really understand their full origin story you have to watch both the K and the M version of "Mama" not just the K version, because even though both the K and M versions of "Mama" feature all 12 of the members, the K version focuses on the K members and their powers and the M version focuses on the M members and their powers. However, since then 3 of the 4 Chinese members have left the group (short answer to focus on their solo work back in China) but there is still one Chinese member left, Lay. (Any performances or MVs you watch that took place prior to May 2014 you will see all 12 of the members. Kris and Luhan left in 2014 and Tao left in 2015.) However, now, because they no longer have enough Chinese members they no longer do separate promotions, but they still produce all their MVs and main songs in both Korean and Mandarin they just now promote all as one big group EXO with 9 members. However, in the "Obsession" MV there are only 6 members because 2 of the members are on hiatus right now as they serve in the military; and due to some political issues between the Korean and Chinese government, Lay -- their Chinese member -- is unable to participate in activities with the group because of the company's Korean affiliation. Not only does EXO have amazing MVs, but its almost always double because most of the time when they have a Korean version they also will have a Mandarin version, so it means they have to shoot two separate videos.Their fandom name is EXO-L because L falls right between K and M and it stands for Love. 😍Get it? EXO-K, EXO-L, EXO-M (K-L-M in the alphabet) Once you have seen "Mama" and start to understand EXO's backstory, if you watch any of their other MVs, such as their "Power" MV, it should make more sense to you if you keep in mind all the details about them being aliens with superpowers and how they are on a mission, etc. For example, we originally thought their "Power" MV was all about how the Red Forces stole EXO's powers and they had to fight the robot, which was under the Red Forces control, to get their powers back. And once they got their powers back they were then sent to Earth. However, now that we have "Obsession's" piece of the story, we think "Power" is about how X-EXO are being trained by the Red Force and they have been sent to Earth to infiltrate humanity and spread their evil agenda. The one thing you have to keep in mind with all of EXO's MVs, and I really mean all of them -- including EXO-CBX MVs, and several of Lay's solo MVs, as well as Baekhyun's recent solo debut MV for "UN Village" and his album "City Lights"; and probably even EXO-SC and Chen's solo work as well. And because Baekhyun and Kai are involved, even SuperM's storyline -- is that they are all connected and they all tell a little more of EXO's story and why they are on Earth, etc. Unfortunately,, to make it even more difficult to understand, each part of the story is not necessarily in chronological order, so we as EXO-L have to become detectives and analyze every aspect of all of their teasers, MVs, song lyrics, albums, choreography and even live performances and piece it all together to understand the story behind it all. To help you pinpoint the powers being used in their MVs and live performances here is a list of the members and what their special power is. EXO-K 💦 Suho (Kim JunMyeo) is the leader of the group and he is a lead vocalist -- his power is the ability to control water (Fun fact: Suho in Korean means guardian, as in the guardian of EXO. They are actually a 9 member group currently, with their last Chinese member in China working on his solo career, and being very successful, his name is Lay, and 2 members have started their military service, D.O. and Minseok. So they made this current album with just the six members for now. They are extremely popular with a huge fandom around the world. They are considered a vocal group, with every member a vocalist. They are known as some of the best vocals in kpop, and have the best harmonies also. They are known for pop, r&b, dance, house, techno, edm and beautiful ballads. The thing about exo is that they have a power concept. Since their debut they had this concept and they have used it in a lot of their mvs. They are from exo planet and they use it in their story lines. And this mv is exo fighting their evil clones. And talked about them being obsessed. The dialogue in this song the whole I don’t think so is exo talking to their clones. It sounds corny and all but I love it.

As a complete group, there are 9 members - Xiumin, Suho (leader), Baekhyun, D.O., Lay, Chen, Chanyeol, Kai and Sehun. Lay is the sole Chinese member who is still a part of the group but because of tense relations between China and S Korea as well as his hectic schedule as a solo artist, he is not touring with the group (you should check out his MV - Honey); two are in the military (Xiumin and D.O.) so right now they are a group of 6. There are so many MVs for this group that you would enjoy...you will not regret your EXO experience!

Ok, EXO the vocal kings hahaha So, I don't know if anyone has already explained, but all Exo's mvs are connected, since their debut. They are aliens coming from EXO planet. Each one of them has a power (such as fire, water, teleportation ...), and they use those powers to fight against the Red Force. There are many theories about the storyline, but most of them claiming that Exo was caught by the Red Force and were used as test subjects for experiments. In this MV we see Exo vs X-Exo (which are the clones of Exo, made by the Red Force).

But for this comeback there are only 6 members because two if their members (D.O & Xiumin) are in the military and one is in China promoting his solo things and doing solo activities (Lay. Here is some information about EXO that I hope will help answer most of your questions. EXO's concept and storyline is kind of complicated, so in order to understand what is happening in their MVs you need to understand their origin story.
As you might have noticed, EXO is known for their vocals and for their dancing. As an SM Entertainment group its really no surprise that the members are all amazing singers and dancers because that's just a fact about the type of people that SM selects to be a part of its company. SM has become known for its amazing vocalists and dancers and that is why its one of the big 3 entertainment companies in Korea and around the world (JongDae -- stage name Chen -- was the member with the epic high note in the "Obsession" MV.)
EXO currently has 9 members (originally 12) and all of them are amazing vocalists, however, 2 are considered the group's main/lead rappers (Chanyeol and Sehun), but there are several other members that are sub-rappers as well. If you follow SM Entertainment groups, you will soon discover that all of SM's rappers were actually chosen to become trainees for their vocal and/or dancing skills. All of SM's rappers learned to rap, or at least became good at it, after they joined the company. Therefore, all of SM's artists are amazing vocalists, as well as really good rappers. SM is known for having some of the best vocalists and dancers in the industry and the members of EXO are proof of that.
EXO's MVs are kind of like a movie -- its a movie that has been going on for the past 7 years and it has no sign of coming to an end any time soon. But at this point its going to be kind of hard for you to fully understand what is happening in the storyline of EXO's MVs, unless you become really dedicated to EXO and really spend some time getting to know them and their story. Because all of EXO's MVs and storylines from everything EXO has ever been involved in are connected and it all tells a little more of EXO's story. And not only that, but EXO aren't even human, so that throws an even more complicated concept into the mix. LOL But to help you begin to understand why we say its hard to explain things to you ... here is some information about EXO.
To truly understand EXO you need to understand that EXO debuted in 2012. "Mama" is EXO's debut song and MV and It is how EXO was introduced to the world and it explains the group's concept. So to really understand EXO you need to start from the very beginning and watch both of their "Mama" MVs. From day one, EXO's concept is that they are aliens from planet EXO and they came to Earth with superpowers to protect the Tree of Life from the Red Forces. Each of the members has a superpower that is unique to them and almost every MV will have at least one, if not all of them, using their powers.
Exo, as in exoskeleton, means "outer," so as a member of EXO they are outside the ordinary.The group's concept comes from the real term exoplanet, which is a term that is used for a planet that is outside our solar system, so their name was chosen to represent the fact that they are stars that are "out of this world" when it comes to their talents. EXO's concept is also connected to real life planetary and solar events so all of EXO's comebacks and new song releases for the main group of EXO are all connected to when eclipses and other planetary phenomenons take place. For example, their comeback for their "War" album and "Power" album coincided with when we had a solar eclipse, etc. SM Entertainment, and its founder, Lee SooMan, has all of EXO's release dates and concepts planned out for years in advance, and it all has something to do with real celestial events that are predicted to take place.
So what you saw in the "Obsession" MV was that their doppelgangers were actually clones and they were using their superpowers, such as Chanyeoul with his fire power, to fight their other selves.
You see the planet on fire in the end of the MV because its supposed to show how the world is coming to an end as EXO and X-EXO battle for control, etc.The story in this MV is the latest installment of their epic story that has been playing out over the past 7+ years and its only a piece of EXO's larger storyline.
Now you also need to know that In the beginning there was 12 members and they were split up into 2 groups EXO-K and EXO-M. EXO-K sang and performed their songs in Korean and EXO-M sang and performed those same songs in Mandarin Chinese. EXO-K had 6 Korean members and EXO-M had 4 Chinese members and 2 Korean members. So to really understand their full origin story you have to watch both the K and the M version of "Mama" not just the K version, because even though both the K and M versions of "Mama" feature all 12 of the members, the K version focuses on the K members and their powers and the M version focuses on the M members and their powers.
However, since then 3 of the 4 Chinese members have left the group (short answer to focus on their solo work back in China) but there is still one Chinese member left, Lay. (Any performances or MVs you watch that took place prior to May 2014 you will see all 12 of the members. Kris and Luhan left in 2014 and Tao left in 2015.) However, now, because they no longer have enough Chinese members they no longer do separate promotions, but they still produce all their MVs and main songs in both Korean and Mandarin they just now promote all as one big group EXO with 9 members. However, in the "Obsession" MV there are only 6 members because 2 of the members are on hiatus right now as they serve in the military; and due to some political issues between the Korean and Chinese government, Lay -- their Chinese member -- is unable to participate in activities with the group because of the company's Korean affiliation.
Not only does EXO have amazing MVs, but its almost always double because most of the time when they have a Korean version they also will have a Mandarin version, so it means they have to shoot two separate videos.Their fandom name is EXO-L because L falls right between K and M and it stands for Love. 😍Get it? EXO-K, EXO-L, EXO-M (K-L-M in the alphabet)
Once you have seen "Mama" and start to understand EXO's backstory, if you watch any of their other MVs, such as their "Power" MV, it should make more sense to you if you keep in mind all the details about them being aliens with superpowers and how they are on a mission, etc. For example, we originally thought their "Power" MV was all about how the Red Forces stole EXO's powers and they had to fight the robot, which was under the Red Forces control, to get their powers back. And once they got their powers back they were then sent to Earth. However, now that we have "Obsession's" piece of the story, we think "Power" is about how X-EXO are being trained by the Red Force and they have been sent to Earth to infiltrate humanity and spread their evil agenda. The one thing you have to keep in mind with all of EXO's MVs, and I really mean all of them -- including EXO-CBX MVs, and several of Lay's solo MVs, as well as Baekhyun's recent solo debut MV for "UN Village" and his album "City Lights"; and probably even EXO-SC and Chen's solo work as well. And because Baekhyun and Kai are involved, even SuperM's storyline -- is that they are all connected and they all tell a little more of EXO's story and why they are on Earth, etc.
Unfortunately,, to make it even more difficult to understand, each part of the story is not necessarily in chronological order, so we as EXO-L have to become detectives and analyze every aspect of all of their teasers, MVs, song lyrics, albums, choreography and even live performances and piece it all together to understand the story behind it all.
To help you pinpoint the powers being used in their MVs and live performances here is a list of the members and what their special power is.
EXO-K
💦 Suho (Kim JunMyeo) is the leader of the group and he is a lead vocalist -- his power is the ability to control water (Fun fact: Suho in Korean means guardian, as in the guardian of EXO. That's why as the leader of EXO, his stage name is Suho)
💡Baekhyun is a main vocalist and his superpower is the ability to control light
🔥Chanyeol is the main rapper and lead vocalist -- his power is the ability to control fire and his spirit animal is the phoenix.
🌏D.O. (Do KyungSoo) is a main vocalist and his power is the ability to control earth (dirt) which gives him strength/force
☄Kai (Kim JongIn) is a main dancer, lead vocalist and sub-rapper and his power is teleportation. (Kai means door (gateway) in Korean so his stage name symbolizes his role within EXO's storyline.

Bro, Exo has been an extremely popular and successful group going on 8 years now, this is just their latest album that just came out. They came out in 2011 and officially debuted in 2012 with their first album and music videos. A year before Bts was created. They are actually a 9 member group currently, with their last Chinese member in China working on his solo career, and being very successful, his name is Lay, and 2 members have started their military service, D.O. and Minseok.
So they made this current album with just the six members for now.
They are extremely popular with a huge fandom around the world. They are considered a vocal group, with every member a vocalist. They are known as some of the best vocals in kpop, and have the best harmonies also. They are known for pop, r&b, dance, house, techno, edm and beautiful ballads. They should have more recognition, but they're fine without US promotion like Bts. Check out their early mvs "What is Love", "Mama", and "History" (Exo-K versions).
