    My 10 year old 223L is back working like new with a new carburetor. Thanks for the tutorial, I'd have been lost without your help. Thank you.

      2012 223l here too, love this thing. I bought that muffler shield that fna's has, used on ebay, is nice for heat deflection. Also bought a 525LS throttle assembly (found one cheap for $30-40) and bolted it on, cuts down a ton on vibration.
      Cheers

      @@viewer54322 the 525ls throttle assembly fits the 223?

    • @viewer54322
      @viewer54322 3 роки тому

      @@andygomez6175 Yup, heres pics of mine (ignore black wire tied to spark plug, I use it for RPM tachometer, tucked it into the throttle wire just to keep from dangling) imgur.com/a/ekEA56a
      I re-used the 223l throttle cable+wires. The 'off' switch can be popped out of throttle via tabs inside clamshell. I dont think any modification was needed but at most maybe I had to use a razor to trim a bit inside 525 clamshell so wire would tuck into channel.
      If you dont like the look of the exposed nut on the tube, you can dremel/hacksaw off the part of the trim on your old 223l throttle and connect it on there as a cosmetic 'trim' piece
      Any questions just ask

      @viewer54322 3 роки тому

      @@andygomez6175 Forgot to mention, the throttle works just the same too, it can slightly rotate a few degrees left&right like it does on the 525 for ergonomics, all the vibe dampeners fit perfect as well. I did this because I dont like hands going numb. I use it with the balance trio harness too, i look like a dork but dont have a sore back or numb hands heh

    Thank you so much for taking the time to post this video. My Husqvarna 223R coughs and splutters when I try to make it run at normal speed, so I assume this is due to a problem with the carb. I have my overhaul kit from Ebay, so thanks to the information you have provided, I feel confident I'll be able to get it running correctly.

    • @fnaguitarplayer9
      @fnaguitarplayer9  4 роки тому

      Your welcome. It may just need to be adjusted some on the low side to get it run smooth at low speed then tune the high side to get the high speed right. Hopefully you get it running,these are great weedeaters, I love the weight of them. I did get a new Stihl this past year though. Thanks for Watching!

    Thanks for this step by step walk-through of replacing the Husky 326ls carb. This really, really helped me out, since I watched the video (certain segments) several times before and during installation and all went smooth as silk! Thanks again and take care!

    Great DIY video, one question, do you have to use that ball pin hammer on a weed eater?

  • @mopedmaniac
    @mopedmaniac 2 роки тому

    Sounds like that weed eater is adjusted to drop D tuning. Good Work! = )

    The aftermarket junk is OEM for most small engines :)
    Made in China
    The rebuild kits still require the cube to be cleaned. the passages are so small, ultrasonic is recommended. So replacing the carb is the fastest and more sure its clean. Then you can drop the old cube in your cleaner, rebuild, test, and put on the shelf for next time.

    Nice video but I'm not sure why you replaced the whole carb. Is it because price point for kit and all new is so close? Either way, I learned something.

    • @fnaguitarplayer9
      @fnaguitarplayer9  7 років тому +1

      Basically thats why (price point) and when you replace the carb your almost guaranteed that it will fix, sometimes when you rebuild them they still won't run right, but yeah the price difference wasn't much, now if the carb was say 30 and the kit was 10, yeah i would have rebuilt it. If i ever catch a kit for real cheap i'll rebuild it for a spare. Thanks for Watching!!!

      Appreciate that! I do have other videos on adjusting 2 cycle carburetors, not this particular one but will give more pointers then i did on this one. it didn't really take a whole lot of adjusting. Thanks for Watching!!!

    I’m pretty sure that was already a replacement carburetor. At least the one I have, the adjustment screws are not those spine type, but rather just plain plastic flathead screws.

      I would check for spark first, if it has good spark then the carb may need adjusted, or a fuel line came off. Could be a number of things, hard to diagnose without actually looking at it. Thanks for Watching!!!

    1:46 "line to filter". No, that's the return to tank line. The main line out with the filter goes onto the short stud on the primer bulb ;)

    • @fnaguitarplayer9
      @fnaguitarplayer9  5 років тому

      I didn't even use a part number when i ordered the carb, i went on ebay and searched for, husqvarna 326ls carburetor, and you can get the carb even cheaper now, 15 bucks for new carb, spark plug, and everything else fuel wise. Thanks for Watching!!!

    *Great trimmer plenty of power easy on fuel 🌴 **allabout.wiki/Husqvarna** and not as heavy as a Honda but has a great Honda engine, wish I would have purchased a long time ago.*
