Also, I took a photography class many years ago and she held the class in her home. She said something that always stuck with me. She said her decorating style was “things I like.” She said you create your own style because it is a blend of all the things that reflect what you find beautiful.

I love that! My room is very eclectic and yet, I love how all of the elements come together to represent who I am and what I love. Each person has a unique style that reflects who they are. Styles can be similar when people share common interests and are inspired by similar things, but each will vary in their own way. 🩷
That's what I say my style is too! And somehow everything just works together :D
My boyfriend came into the room as your video was playing and he immediately said: "i like her, she gives me very cozy and welcoming vibes" and it just makes me so happy that people who don't really watch your content, know how immensely authentic and great you are. I thought so, too. That seems like a lot of fun money. As someone who is financially secure, I don't think I've ever spent that kind of fun money. When my husband and I get dinner out once a week, the total bill is 30 dollars.

You set the same amount that I did. I try to spend less so it will carry over. I used to carry debt and I hated it. I worked hard to pay off everything but my house and car. I now don’t just swipe a credit card. I pull cash out of the ATM every week and this way I see exactly what I have left in my wallet and what day of the week it is. It makes me think do I really need this or do I need so many of them. It’s been wonderful and freeing not to worry about credit card payments. And also my house feels better because I have less clutter.

I'm catching up on your channel a few weeks late, but this is such a lovely video! I LOVE that you're talking about finances in a realistic way that resonates with most of us, aren't dropping tons of $$$ on new spring clothes and decor, and have a house that looks cozy and like real, delightful people happily live there (not like it was immaculately curated by/for an algorith). All of those things make me feel less insecure about my own non-curated life and home, and I so appreciate it.

Yes, Morgan aka "Mo", Women should have enough $$ to feel free to leave, but choose to stay out of WANTING to, NOT NEEDING to, because they have to. And I say 1 yr emergency fund, if you can swing it. (Think Quarantine.) Today, as women live longer than their partner or spouse, it is important to plan for the "Rainy Day" 🌧 fiscally speaking.

Here's a tip for buttercream or any frosting : add a very small amount of table salt. It actually rounds out the flavor and helps make very sweet frosting taste not so sweet. Another tip: never use salted butter for anything. Usually salted butter is old butter and they add salt so they can mask any flavor of it not being as fresh.
With two candles, you could make one your daytime candle and the other your evening candle. Or a work candle and a leisure time candle. ... Or just enjoy whichever you're in the mood for most 😊

You live in your home so YOU should have it look and feel the way YOU want, not what's trendy. If you like something trendy and want to add it to your home, go for it! If you don't like it, no pressure. Your home is your sanctuary and the best part of it is getting to decide how it will make you feel. I understand the struggle though. I typically like spooky things and have a lot of spooky things in my home, but I have so many interests so I've incorporated those too. It's pretty eclectic lol. I've recently been trying a few new things like decorating with more candles and books and flowers and part of me felt guilty for not "sticking" to my spooky aesthetic, but then I thought, who is judging me for this? No one! So do what you want! And I'm really enjoying the new little touches here and there. Thanks for always being an inspiration. I'm SO excited to try that cookie recipe! They look so yummy! Sadly I am from Germany, but it truly always feels like home because we do love the same things (cafes, illustration, books, cozy things and so much more) and I am always like ahhh I wish we could be real life friends haha! Morgan, I adore your style so much and we have much the same style and taste. I was never allowed to be authentic to myself growing up in my childhood home and it has become a struggle to love the things I love because of my childhood. It's something I'm trying so desperately to embrace because I am a mother for 4 children and the youngest of them is my daughter. I want her and my sons to learn to love who they authentically are and feel free to be themselves regardless of what anyone should think. ❤
I just wanted to add: I lived in Oregon for a short time. Beaverton, specifically. I absolutely loved living there but due to circumstances out of my hands, I had to move back to my home state. Every time I watch one of your videos, I always feel like I'm visiting. And today, I actually cried at the end because I left Oregon around this time of year and it just reminded me of flying back home and hating so much that I had to leave. 😣 I don't know how far it would be for you and Landon but when you can take a visit to Tualatin Hills Nature Park. It was my favorite place to go in the short four months I lived there.

Target is the devil, Morgan 😅 I love that place, but it is IMPOSSIBLE not come out with something. Also I envy being able to throw open all the windows.. it’s very dusty here in Phoenix area. I open my back sliding door and if i walk barefoot, my feet turn BLACK and mind you, I mop at least 2x a week.
These cookies look delicious! I put freeze dried raspberries on my shopping list! Good job on taking control of your finances that is so important in your late 20s early 30s because if you invest in a retirement plan you will really have the years it takes to let it compound and grow for you. I’ve been watching a lot of UA-cam money people and read a few books from the library and now I feel a lot more confident. I recommend Vivian Tu’s book Rich AF it had a lot of easy to digest information written for millennials. Spring is right around the corner and it’s the perfect time for a fresh start all around!
Such a great spring reset! 🌸 Yes to prioritizing our goals in our budget and building up an emergency fund! 👏 Also, I love to keep freeze-dried fruit around for adding to scones and muffins. It helps reduce the moisture when baking and then I always have fruit around for spontaneous scone baking!

I am always happy when I see your videos pop up. I’ve had a very sad day yesterday and ongoing for a bit, since our doggie family member passed away yesterday. He was a special little dog. He was my travel companion whenever I needed to drive which was everyday, my walking buddy, my sleeping buddy and cuddle pal. I’m missing him so much. Your videos do cheer me up, even if only for a short time right now. Thank you

@@jgator6694 he was my brothers dog first for the first 9 years of his life. My brother passed away and wanted me to keep his best friend, Teddy. Teddy then took my heart to. We had him for 5 years. He had a lump on the side of his throat that if removed he may have died so wasn’t an option. It grew fast the last couple weeks and he was struggling to breathe. It’s so wonderful to have these companions but so hard when they leave. Thank you

And it is clear that you gave Teddy lots of love and care. You should feel proud. Losing a pet is sooo hard, isn’t it?
