Retinoids are for the whole face but other ingredients like benzoyl peroxide can definitely be used as spot treatment to kill bacteria If your skin can't tolerate adapalene, tret, etc. you should try retinal or plain old retinols. They work slower but are more gentle on sensitive skin
@@_ngugi_ I didn’t mean spot treatment like that. I normally only break out on my forehead and chin so I only use it there but I do use it every night.

Adapalene is supposed to be put all over your face not as a spot treatment
i personally use it as a spot treatment because i see no point in using extra product on places i don’t break out. plus my skin is super sensitive
