    I don't know if anyone else mentioned it, but the reason you got the streak of pink when you were pouring is because you put an extra drop of pink in the cup when you were putting the lids back on the bottles and then forgot to stir. It still turned out beautiful! Love to watch you and love your enthusiasm! 😁

      I was wondering if using like the pearl/mermaid micas on the smooth side would work. She said the mold was half full, so a little room for a thin layer just to hold the mica on. It would have to be flat then though.

    Hi Julie, Oh that is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS & STUNNING rolled into one. the different light source with those bubbles is phenomenal...Love it. Sometimes you ask if you guys would like to see certain colors etc. I have 2 ideas. The Rainbow like you did today. But add the finest glitter you have just put in One of the colors not all of them. Then swirl ONE TIME ONLY through all the colors to center or vice versa. Another idea would to be to use the holographic plastic. I think that would be really cool looking too. What do you think? Thanks in advance ✌️🥰

  • @j.c.linden

    Seems like draping the resin over the outside of a bowl would be so much easier. Corelleware bowls do have a smooth bottom and metal ones often do too. All these plastic ones have either grooves or ridges by the bottom and are a very small bottom for the rim diameter.

    love this. How do you keep your fingerprints from the resin as you are pressing it down? Also, everything I have made with alcohol ink has faded, do you have this problem?

    • @fairyspunfibers9098
      @fairyspunfibers9098 2 роки тому +1

      @Anne M
      What brand alcohol ink are you using? Some are of such poor quality that they would fade, even if you keep the objects in a black bag! I use Let's Resin alcohol inks. I can't speak to any other brand, as far as light-fastness goes.
      Also, the quality of resin you use can also make a huge difference. I use 3 different resins, all high quality: Platinum 360+, JDiction 3X UV-Protection, and Let's Resin (Daniel Cooper's formula). All are 2-part epoxies. All of them seem to preserve my Let's Resin alcohol ink colors. Mr. Cooper made 2 sets of cabochon using Let's Resin inks. One set he left outside in full sun (during England's hottest Summer in memory) about 12 to 16 weeks. The other set was kept in a dark pouch inside a drawer. The outdoor set hardly differs at all from the indoor set. Don't know if that helps, though?
      No resin, glass, acrylic, or any other reflective surface should be kept where direct sunlight can strike the surface, if only because of the risk of fire, never mind yellowing, fading, or cracking.
