As much as I liked Brick, I kinda wanted to see Taylor and Nick have a true shot, too. KKL shot the idea of a reunion after Jack was written into the show, but there were so many ways they could have milked that history.
But there's another more hypocrite one: after Ridge had left Brooke for Caroline, Brooke was conforted by Eric, who had been betraying Stephanie with other women before sleeping with Brooke and then she got pregnant;so Stephanie couldn't hide the secrets of her marriage anymore
Brooke did hit the road with Nick but Stephanie tracked them down and begged Brooke to come back to Ridge because he had a heart attack because he lost her and couldn't deal with it.
Thinking back on all the fighting and bad mouthing Brooke to the Forester men, Yes, she knew Brooke for what she was. But she was never really going to have any influence on Ridge, Thorn or Eric. I think she should have saved all her efforts and breath on it all, because those men would fight and die for Brook Logan. Those men just tolerated Stephanie for years. They poo pooed her every objection and didn't take her seriously in anything she said. Oh she was a force to be reckoned with, make no doubt, but those sons and husband just tolerated her. If she had of just learned to shut up, what a difference that would have made.
