SALMON BURGER RECIPE
INGREDIENT LIST
BURGERS
1 lb salmon
2 tb chopped green onion
1 tb capers
¼ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
½ tsp salt
¾ cup Panko breadcrumbs
2 tb Dijon mustard
2 tb mayonnaise
1 large egg, whipped
1 tb olive oil
1 large tomato
1 red onion
Arugula
Burger buns
TARTAR SAUCE
½ cup mayonnaise
2 tb chopped dill pickle
1 tb lemon juice
1 tb capers
¼ tsp hot sauce
Dash of salt/pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Cube your salmon into ½-1 in pieces. Add to a food processor with your green onions, capers, garlic powder, cayenne pepper and salt. Pulse food processor until ingredients are mixed and roughly ground.
2. Transfer chopped mixture to a bowl and add Panko, mayonnaise, mustard and your whipped egg.
3. Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and press down into patties. They should be about 1 in thick. Place patties in the fridge to chill.
4. To make your homemade tarter sauce, add to a bowl the mayonnaise, dill pickle, lemon juice, capers, hot sauce, salt and pepper and mix all ingredients. Prep other burger toppings.
5. Heat grill to medium heat for 5-10 minutes. Place burgers on grill on an aluminum sheet greased with olive oil. Cook for 5-10 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Add buns to the grill in the last 1 minute of cook time to toast. Remove from heat, add toppings, and enjoy!
You two are a delightful couple and great ambassadors to the sport of Kings. Love the cooking info. Thank you, Best to you both always. Smooth sailing, Tight lines
Thanks so much! We appreciate it!
Hope you get a lodge some day. What team , fishing looked like it was crazy . Then back in the kitchen with another home run recipe. Really enjoy your videos, an recipes. Best part about harvesting your own game an fish is being able to cook it. Keep up the hard work.
Thanks so much Bill! We’ve been having a great time making the videos; glad you’re enjoying them 👍
Excellent video....you have the best show on the great lakes. Bar none.
Thanks so much Chris! Glad you enjoy it
You're like the only ones I've seen who know how to properly net these kings without slapping at them with the net. Nice videos with a mix of scenery, fishing and cooking. Are you booking any coho trips on the big lake for September?
Oh, and you better put a ring on that tall one, Kyle. She's a keeper!
Thanks Philip! We are already fully booked for September with a mix of lake and river trips. We suggest booking a year in advance!
Maggs was dying holding that huge fish. Great day. Great content
Yes I was 😂 thanks Jim!
Great video! Love the scenic aerial shots. We'll have to try your salmon burger recipe this weekend . . . it looks delicious!
Another great video Kyle and Maggie! Really appreciate the details of your spread and the recipes are bangers!
Keep it up ! This channel is going to get huge!

Great work Kyle, you and Maggie are tearing it up . You two keep raising the bar! I did notice the damage the cormorants are doing to the trees on SM , that’s too bad. See ya at the dock some day!!! Take care
Thanks Bruce!! Same to you.
Thoroughly enjoy all your videos, love to see your enthusiasm for salmon fishing. What a great young couple!!
Awesome video… love the cooking segment also 👍🏻
Thanks Joe!
Kyle you’re the man! Never fail to make a kick ass video full of fish and tips. Keep it up and best of luck this fall.
Thanks Alex!
My dad made salmon loaf very similar to your paddies. He would make a loaf like meat loaf and bake it in a preheated oven for twenty minutes. I still remember how good it was.
Your drag anticks r legendary
You guys make a killer team. Happy I ran across your channel. Looking forward to more videos!
Thanks Keegan! We appreciate it 👍

@@AdventureChasing They look like it yeah !! I can't wait to try them. ;)
There is going to be some serious tackle busting, gear wrecking fish in the river this fall, judging from the size of the fish being had out on the big lake this year! Great video as usual guys!
We can’t wait 🤪
Great video, thank you for sharing.
Thank you!
Your videos keep getting better awesome job and also your recipes 👌. Definitely some big fish

What a beautiful catch you guys. Congrats Maggie on the big fish. Love the scenic area you were in too. The recipe looks awesome. Really love your channel.
Thanks so much! It was an awesome day
Nice video. You always turn drags down low when you first have fish on so we get to hear the drag. Then you crank it up so you can reel them in.
Maggie's the queen of fishing and cooking, 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you Douglas 😁
OMG I need to get a boat and join the fun.
Another great video guys!

Well you been catching some nice ones, but dang when you landed Maggs, brother you won the lottery! She is a gorgeous girl, AND she loves fishing. Some guys get it all. Her smile is worth a million. I hope you’re happy brother.

Recipe looks great! Better make it for us next time you get home!
Never knew that you could run divers that far back, will be giving that a try this year, thanks for your great videos.
Jay Gollhardt when I’m fishing 300 fow or deeper I’ll run my wire mag diver on a #2 setting 600 out and regularly pull huge lakers and most over 15 pounds.
Keen to see some salmon ricer action?
Love your videos, you make a good team .
River? Check back on Wednesday!! Thanks 😆
Love your content . I remember fishing with my grandpa on lake huron when I was a kid. We killed the kings. This footage bring back some great memories I had with him. You definitely have earned a sub here thanks
great video!.....great info!.......carnage!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Jim!
I enjoyed trying your salmon casserole recipe, now anxious to make burgers. I keep a boat in Sheboygan, fished there now for 6 years and have never seen or experienced a nicer box of 10 salmon as you caught in this video. Too cool!
Thanks Tom! Glad you enjoyed the casserole 👍
Wow, I really enjoy your videos, seeing you catch those fish with all the excitement. The cooking at the end is superb! I love the way you guys live.
Thanks so much! We always have fun fishing out on the big lake 😆
Thanks for sharing. Good to see your Trophy back in action. Where are you launching from?
Great video/channel. I appreciate you sharing alot of the how to info, catch and cook😋. Can't wait to try th er Patty's. And the big fish cleaning, never seen salmon cleaned like that. I don't ever like tell a man how to operate his boat, but brother when I seen Maggie's bare foot less then 12" from a big ol nasty treble hook twice I kinda cringed..... Have A Great Season. God Bless 🙂
Another great video!
Hey it was nice meeting the 2 of you at the fish cleaning station. Thanks for the fresh skein it will go to good use
Nice meeting you too! Happy fishing 🎣
Loved the video I love salmon and steelhead burgers myself, I do brine the fish in salt, sugar and soy brine.
Regarding the fishy taste , it’s the processing of the fish and the blood that causes it.
Try ikejime method and there will be no dark meat/blood in the fish ! As an angler if I keep any fish I make sure to process it in the best way possible!
Gotta try those salmon burgers they look awesome
Way to go Maggie!!!
Great video. The burgers look awesome. Definitely will try. Keep up the good work. Love the catch and cooks.
Awesome! Hope you enjoy the burgers. We’ve been enjoying making this style of video; definitely more to come!
What a day! Nice job
How do you keep your boat going straight while you're both reeling in a fish ?
I notice you use your main motor for trolling . Do you use a bow mount electric to keep you straight with only two people on the boat ?
Most of the time yes, but our trolling motor was broken this day 😂
I know this is an older video but I have a question as to why you don't use your kicker motor? Does the higher RPM scare fish?
I think we just forgot our kicker remote that day
My first two years fishing Lake Ontario we fished 6 divers lol and to be honest we never had any issues. Only reason we took it down to 4 was because we got two down riggers
Awesome Videos!
Maggie, thanks for the patty demo, looks delicious! I’m going to sub Italian bread crumbs, double the egg white, and sub Vidalia sweets for the green onions. Might even skip the cayenne and use paprika instead. Can’t wait to try it, got a big steelhead yesterday…
Sounds delicious! Let us know what you think
Got it all mixed up now, sitting in the fridge chilling, waiting for my wife and daughter to come home from BHS CC practice...
Maggie, the steelhead cakes were wonderful! My girls loved them; thanks so much for the inspiration (we ate dinner and watched your catch & cook video!)
@@jayrobertson232 that’s awesome! I’m happy you liked them
awesome stuff
Well done you guys. I really enjoy your channel..
Thanks Stan!!
Love this new content.
Salmon burgs look super good. Gonna try them out this weekend
Sweet! Hope you like them
Do you run the high speed cold waters on your wire dipseys? If so, have you ran into any issues?
Yeah we do, haven’t had any issues.
Good video, thanks for posting. Two comments....Some people might be interested in going to some of the spots you showcase, it would be nice if you say where you are. Second, why don't great lakes people understand that the "clicker" is a strike indicator, and you turn it off when reeling in your fish or checking lines etc. Saltwater fishermen all understand this.
What area are you launching your boat from?
Awesome catch!
cheers
Great videos guys. What port where you fishing?
Nice
Holly cow what a nite! Where are you fishing? What is your trolling speed?
Should be able to identify the area from the intro
It appears to be the TC/ Sleeping Bear Dunes area but not sure which port
Frankfort
They must have run north? I'm actually going to be there this weekend!
As for fishing I’m not sure, for the intro stuff that was north for sure…. I really want to book a trip with them…. Looks so fun
Where are all the other boats? Was super busy last week
We usually film a week-two weeks in advance and don’t like to fish around other boats when we can help it 😆
Awesome ! Non- native fish, where do they spawn ?
Thanks! They head up the rivers to spawn.
Great vid..what is the name of your guide service, web site?
Hey Robert! It’s www.xxlchromechasing.com
More salmon videos please!
What is the mat on the floor of cockpit
Strikeee👍👍👍👍
What were the colors of those flashers?
Froggy variants
How many FOW?
why aren't you using your kicker to troll?BTW you have a lovely humble wife! Just in from outdoor news, 42" king cought right where you are in frankfort area aug. 21.And thx for your other post on rigging the lines.
👍👍
Omgeezy, your wife is a Sweetheart 😅
You forgot to show us the weight in?
We inserted a picture at the end! The first big one was upper 20s and the last fish of the day was over 30 👍👍
Whatever you do do not buy a fish scale.
why not just put your divers out first? No tangles.
Usually I put divers out first but Sometimes I put my probe down on the rigger first to check water temps and make sure I wanted to fish that area before the whole spread goes out
You guy's are gonna blow up on UA-cam soon. I am totally hooked on your videos now. You are an amazing fisherman bro you definitely know your stuff. I know you guide kings and steelhead on the Pere Marquette if I'm not mistaken but do you also guide there on the big lakes? If so I would LOVE to hire you guys sometime for some kings out there. Please let me know.
Why do you adjust your drag so much? Just get GOOD drags and you won't have to back them off for the camera just to hear the clicker!!
We adjust the drag for a couple reasons. How fast/hard the fish is running and if the drag is sticking. We have invested in quality reels, but unfortunately no matter what you buy you can still have issues with the drag sticking. Especially when you use your gear as much as we do. The more you check and adjust your drag, the less fish you lose.
Definitely not for show, just how I like to fight fish. I usually can land about all of them so not going to change. When you charter every day your gear and lines take a lot of abuse. Drags stick and lines get wrapped/tightened together in the spool and I’ve seen many fish pull the hooks or snap off from that. Thanks for your concern.
