I feel like Mew would make the most sense for Aang I mean can use all elements just like Aang. Maybe it's just me but I feel a bit like Alola Marowak would fit Zuko(Not sure if I spelled it right.) Just cause in the anime he can put his Bone on fire and twirl it like the fire dancers in the anime. Momo - Aipom or Ambipom Appa - Piloswine makes the most sense for me there. Kitara probably would be Vaporeon. Tao(Blind Ground bender girl) I could see as Deino because he/she can't see either like litterally the Pokedex even says it or Palosand/Hippopotas or its evolution more because there ground types. Not really sure about who I'd pick for Sokka or the rest though.
Hmmmm, The issue is that most villains from the first series are Fire Nation guys... So the natural inclination would be that they would mostly be Fire type pkmns... Azula definitely should be a mon with blue flames... Mega Charizard X? Are there other blue flame mons? Bounty Hunter June might do well being Weavile...or some sort of dark type at least I feel like... Long Feng I think should be Golurk. Because he operates as a ghost, and is also an earth bender... The fire Lord should probably be a legendary Fire mon... I'm thinking Reshiram... Admiral Zhoa I'm kinda stumped with.... He doesn't have many distinct personality traits other than he just was the season 1 bad guy.... and he was a fire bender as well, but do you really want another Fire mon on the team? Incineroar maybe? Maybe Jet could be seen as a villain? Bisharp or Scizor? Combustion man could be Turtanotor... or a mon with a 3rd eye, but I cant think of one, lol... Maybe Magnezone? Mai might actually be a much better fit for Bisharp now that I think of it.... Ty Lee should be some sort of monkey... I'm thinking Pasimian It's really difficult coming up with these without making it into one big Fire pkmn team...Lol
