Just listened to this record for the first time, and it's awesome! It reminds me a lot of The Master's Bedroom and Putrifiers II for some reason, I guess because it alternates a lot between fast-paced, riff-oriented songs and slower, more complex song structures. It's very similar to past albums, but very different in some ways too. I like it a ton so far.

I first heard this song during a really difficult time in my life, there was a long period where I was unable to listen to it, but now when I do it helps me recognize and appreciate the personal strengths I have gained in my time since then, thank you Thee Oh Sees! x

Two men fighting each other for the same reasons, the same monotonous role arbitrarily given, yet one recieves meaning whilst all the other has is a tv. Someone will always have the upper hand morally, yet accepting that normalised superiority will always leave the person in the maze, whether you are the knight or the minotaur. As the lyrics say, these thoughts cannot be found in the maze, but you still live, so who cares about the meaning of it all, the better ones are dead or silenced.

Floating Coffin shits on everything thats come out this year so far. It sounds CLASSIC. And I haven't listened much to their other stuff, so I can't even call myself fanboy. They never sound like they are trying to impress me yet they do. It's so awesome.
