Respect to your father. One of 200 battle veterans who returned a year later to make Theirs is the Glory as an everlasting memorial to those who gave their lives at Arnhem/Oosterbeek.
More about the Theirs is the Glory and the enigma of my Uncle, Brian Desmond Hurst, in my new book "Theirs is the Glory. Arnhem, Hurst and Conflict on Film" available from Amazon. Hardback, nearly 400 pages and 350 images and a foreword by Sir Roger Moore.
I worked at that old churge, searching for remnants of war in the old graveyard where the soldiers digged in. Very interesting footage indeed. Would like to learn some more of this area.
Hi Alan very good tribute to your father and my grandfather and all the men that were there see waryearsremembered.co.uk and save war years remembered facebook page would love to have a chat sometime yours Davey War Years
Very interesting. My father is one of the soldiers in the church scene and appears again carrying a stretcher into the hospital.

Thank you for making this video. I attended the walk and it was everything (and more) I hoped for.
