With this animation i tried to do something that has never been done in a MLP SFM before. I approached the story with a concept that would be based around the importance of friendship. I specifically designed the story to be non-linear, allowing the animation to be interchangeable between dreams and reality, with both perspectives synchronizing at the end. Disconnected is a dark story for a bright reason. The message of the story is to tell the audience how friendship can make your dreams come true. In terms of quality, i purposely made the animation a music video that would feel like a movie. The reason for this is to allow the story to give a stronger impact to the audience in terms of emotion. The story may be confusing to you, but that's the point, it's up to you to connect the dots and find the secrets that this story holds.

Why did the pony decide to commit suicide at the end? And what did that little pony with the bear mean?
It’s a cruel world where animated equines can show more humanity without speaking than the largest charities we’ve got. A perfect message, for a not so perfect world, thank you for the great piece.
Also, that ending is perfect, it lets the viewer believe in their own ending, mine is that she was saved last minute by the friends she’d just left, and that they resolved their problems after a few talks and a new understanding of each other. I must also compliment how smooth the animation is, not the just the movements cleanliness, but getting the tiny sporadic movements of the eye just right, I know from experience that that’s really hard.
This was A M A Z I N G! Truly a masterpiece.

Really well done! The only thing that could’ve made the wall of text better would’ve been an emotional voiceover which would also make it a lot shorter.

Holy shit it's finally out and it's amazing. Definitely found myself replaying a few scenes just because of how good they were animated, like 3:01 and 4:25
Also that projector was sick, I'm curious whether that was a custom gobo light texture pointed at the wall or if it was AE stuff. Anyway yeah, really good work on this.

I'm glad that I saw someone vote for this for Littleshy's Top Ten, cause that brought me here to check it out (and ended up voting for it as well).
I can't help but wonder what about her past she really wanted wiped from her friends' memories. What comes to mind is some sort of event or moment that her friends will often make jokes about, which she laughs along with while feeling miserable about it inside - something that really bothers her but that she has never voiced, or maybe has but it wasn't taken seriously. I'm not sure how she could willingly get them hooked up to a device designed to wipe a certain memory unless she told them the device did something else entirely. However she did it, though, it clearly didn't work and she "took the train". Now I'm curious what the repercussions of what has happened will be, regardless of whether she actually died or was saved last second by someone.
….maybe I'm overthinking this, which I admittedly have a tendency to do. I do know that I enjoyed watching this, and the animation, direction, music, etc. was great. Also, I may be the odd man out here, but I liked reading that ending message and preferred it that way w/o a voiceover. I feel reading it allows you to internalize the message and allows the message to imprint itself in you more. If there is more to come, I am looking forward to seeing what that is.

An incredible animation mate. Again as others say I do think the wall of text at the end would've been nice as a voice over

I found this a masterpiece becuse of 2 tips:
1-a good quality which realy fits the meaning of the animation was used to make this.
2-this animation wasn't only animated to amuse us , it also had a true and real concept which we have to figure.
*world would be a better place to live if we change our treatments , it might seem very simple but these simple things base our lives , your behavior changes your fate.

You did a very good job, it's right that you presented this as a non-linear story, if it was a direct presentation of the meaning, the effect of viewing would be different.

Welp, I know I'm late kinda sad I wasn't shown these before. Anyway, this is really incredibly just how well made and to such a quality. I actually cried with the pony all alone in their shack :(. Not many movies can make me cry.

Astonishing work, you were born to amaze, keep that in mind.
It's been so long since I've watched this video, wait, actually, I just checked my calendar, it wasn't a long time, 2020 just has a habit of feeling like it'll never end. Either way though, a ton of new software has come out to make animations like this easier to make, and even with all that stuff, I have a feeling I can safely guarantee this'll be the most realistic looking animation I'll like until they release a real life Star-Trek Holo-room. Even then it might still be there.
Also, I gotta thank you for making this, I don't know if I've already commented on here or not, but I needed to tell you that this video seriously helped me get out of some really bad friendships, and I feel like I'd be doing something wrong if I didn't tell you how much this has helped me. My grades had been failing, my friends would get mad if I participated in a conversation they were having ABOUT ME, IN FRONT OF ME. The whole time that stuff went on though, I thought that was what normally happened in groups of friends.
I was super depressed at the time, and I know its hard to believe that in such a short amount of time so much could've changed, (with me I mean, the massive amount of events happening (or being cancelled) are proof of the world changing.). After that message at the end, I realized pretty much what my friends had been doing for all that time, and now I've got a new group of friends (with some of the friends from the old group that treated me normally), and I'm no longer so depressed that I sabotage my own grades.
Basically, you helped me out of a really bad situation with your message, I'm always going to be in debt to you, and with what your work shows, I can honestly say that I don't think theres a better person to be in debt to. Sorry for this being really long by the way, I'm hugely antisocial and once I finally pushed myself to thank you I couldn't stop writing, and I don't know where to stop, I should probably stop here. Alright, I just wanted to thank you for all that you've done, I hope that someday I might be able to repay you for all you've done.

Oh my god. I just watched this and GOD. THIS IS AMAZING!!! I know Sweet Shot and saw this video in LittleshyFiM’s latest Top 10 videos and I took a HARD double-take. But this story... this story has so much more than what it seems. I’m going to need to go back to it and see if I can even comprehend it! But good lord, this is honestly one of the BEST Mlp sfm animations I’ve seen since forever! I wish I would’ve watched this video sooner and you deserve respect for making such a MASTERPIECE!
PS: The whole “Friendship” scroll got me hard. I won’t lie. I cried! It was so heart-touching. And I felt every ounce of importance and emotion put into every individual word... a job well done AGAIN for creating this masterpiece! Thank you for this blessing of a video! And I can’t wait to see what happens! Now then, I’m going to watch this again!

This was so wonderful ! I loved it so much, and the message is so true, friendship is the most important thing in life and it is very sad that lots of people are just faking it... I lived it when they all left me down.. but now I found true friends, the ones who will never let me down, and they all changed my life. You did a very wonderful job on this and on Connected Us All, they are so amazing and showing how friendships are. I can't wait for the next part, and really, it's the most amazing thing I've ever seen and the most awesome message I've read, thank you for all the feelings of this wonderful video and thank you for have made it so amazing

Visually, and musically, it was very well done indeed, congratulations. The part at the end where you did the big scroll up about friendship only discussed the taking part of friendship. Yes it's a legitimate part of friendship, but if it isn't balanced out with the giving part of friendship then the friendship will spiral out of control and in the end crash and burn. You leave the impression there is another part on the way, I'm looking forward to it and hoping it will deal with the other side. That, or you have already done that and I haven't found it yet.
