Hey man, a mutual friend told me about your channel since both he and I moved from Dunnville to Rainy. Thanks fir the info on how to make this repair because I have a 6.0 that had the turbo sticking. I will definitely open and try this. I miss that truck and the 18 ft gooseneck I bought to go behind it.
The hillbilly way, drill two holes in the housing, one for the ring, the other for the veins, so rhe DPF cleaner nozzle+WD 40 nozzle can fit. Step 1, WD 40, soak over night, rev the truck be generous. Step 2, use Motor Power Care DPF cleaner when rippiing hot...use half the can is ample. This works!! To cover the hole, tap in a machine screw.
Ive seen that done on Cummins turbos too but they always fail again in about a month. But a 6.0 is a different animal than a Cummins so it may last longer.
@@screamindieselltd the DPF cleaner is the ticket. The heat and the foam action really cleans the turbo veins. The WD 40, I will spray down my turbo if I will not use it much to prevent rise from forming.
Great video!! Thank you. Does this Turbo make a dog noise I know weird to ask. My truck does this bark noise here and there when truck needs power boost. Wondering if it's normal or my Turbo is failing
@@screamindieselltd right now. Black smoke is present when it's in nuetral and o press the pedal Rev it up. When I shift to drive gear D. Zero response. Zero throttle

Is it when it’s under load? Or after an acceleration. Is the egr valve still in it?

And yes egr valve still in it. No check codes or engine lights
What was it you were hitting with the hammer?
What were you hitting with the hammer?
Probably separating the housings.
Would that unison ring cause a "stutter" or "shudder" at 2000 rpm under moderate acceleration in 3rd gear? Doesn't do it in park, Neutral, 1st, or 2nd
