Drums in the track were switched off live and I believe mart played over the guitar in the track with other parts, if you listen closely to the concert you can hear he plays parts that aren't in the track
@@juventus.218 Sure, but I hear the humanly-played drums that Alan Wilder played in the studio (and on stage). Did he play them again on the backing track, but then turn those off live, and play the drum set? I'm confused. And yes, I think that I read that about the guitar parts.
@@scottcharney1091 I think this is correct and hope so but when they would use this backing track live they would switch off the drums in the track so the only drums you hear are actually being played live by Alan, similar to martins guitar in personal Jesus that you can hear in WVT backing track, they would have it switched off for live performances and Martin would be playing live.
Maybe Alan used the back drums as a click or metronome and as for guitars you can hear both in the live performance, the prominent 'one string riff' and a more mid rangy 'power chord' guitar performed live by Martin.
@@scottcharney1091 the drums you are listening to are used directly from the multitrack, you can hear that they are sampled parts. They are genuine parts of the original backing tape used on the Devotional Tour.
This makes me crave Alan Wilder's magic even more...

I hear the live drums (among other things) in this backing track.
