I just herd about Sam, and have spent my night drinking too much cheap blended scotch whiskey and listening to The Blanks. I got to meet you guys at a show here in Brisbane, Australia, many years ago. We scored front row and my girlfriend at the time was lucky enough to be picked to play "Marty Rothbart", and I still have the toilet paper record contract framed in my house. That was such a great night. Thanks for the great memories. Sam will really be missed. While I'm at it, thank you Paul Perry for your contributions to the musical episode of Scrubs - I still remember all the words all these years later. If it became an on-stage musical, I'd go at least twice.
TDXAV I know Paul irl - the boys were supposed to sing at my wedding. He is currently writing a musical. I’ll tell him he’s already got international fans :)
TDXAV yes, but he doesn’t want anything to leak. I talk with him weekly and haven’t heard a note. But that man is a musical genius, so I’m giving him space and we’ll see what comes out.
You left the world some amazing music. I've loved you since 2010.10 years I've adored your shit..RIP brother. You'll live on long after your body has gone. Thank you for leaving us lots of awesome tunes to listen to. You the man..🤪
Listened to the Blanks sing this song so many times that I thought for a second that Taio Cruz covered THEM. *listening to the radio* "Hey! That's the Blanks song! Wait a-"
I always loved this song. I didn't know any of the original songs (I don't listen to the radio). Watched it so many times. It's such an interesting experience to watch them all individually. Due to it being a single cut, you can see some cool stuff that you otherwise won't recognise. I had been hoping they would release more stuff, but fairly sure Take on Me was the very last they released. That song holds a special place in my heart, because it was recorded in Edinburgh, and I spent a great deal of time there as a student.
I had the pleasure of meeting all four of these gentlemen and they were all brilliant with us two drunk Scotsmen however, Sam Lloyd will always be the stand out. RIP Sam, you will always be the main man
Just saw these guys in Edinburgh and I really can't describe how completely awesome they are. This is definitely my most favourite thing on youtube ever!
thedormroomdemos legend says The Todd lived on long after the scrubs show ended. It also says his high fives were so powerful that Lord Shaggy took him as his apprentice
2:44 Ted's voice changing made goosebumps raise up on my arms. Totally amazing. It sucks that these guys are 100x better than any of the actual vocalists and they will never be seriously big and get the attention they deserve.
Someone just linked this to me on the twitterverse. It's 4:17 today, and I have two final exams today. This was the best possible way for me to start the day.
What I love about bbtt style a capella quartets is the way everyone has a place to shine. And in the end you are able to appreciate all four singers equally.
This video is everything. I`ve watched it around ten times and i don`t seem to get tired of it. It`s so funny. The Katy Perry part where the guy does this dorky jolly swingy smiles like he doesn`t understand the song at all. And that guy singing the bass is worth focusing on during the video. There`s so many funny details about this. This is gold and completely underrated. Bravo and please make more content
I have not been so moved from a passing for decades. RIP Sam aka Ted. Your humour and voice will stay withing my heart for ever. My thoughts to your family, and all you loved and adored. Take a rest now old friend you earn it.😟😟
@@ResilientBiscuit It's not a big deal: a lot of people prefer to refer to them by their character names, usually if they don't know the actor's name. Actors are use to this. Lol.
RIP Sam Lloyd :( As a Scrubs fan, this video made my day when I found it years ago. Loved Ted’s little band. Forever in our hearts!
Just heard about the Bad News and came Here :( may his Soul Rest in peace. Such a wholesome Person

I love this band.
No wonder Ted never won a case in all of the eight years he worked at Sacred Heart :P
Exactly. If I actually hear these songs it's by accident but The Blanks just make them so much better. Ultra talented.
I'm crying every song.. R.I.P LEGEND

I fondly remember seeing you guys in Stockholm in 2012. I still have that signed t-shirt in my drawer.
-Sleep well, Sam! ❤️
Jag såg dom i Göteborg. Har också en t-shirt signerad av dom. Det var min bästa födelsedag någonsin!
These are coming to my Uni in 19 days!!! I CANNOT WAIT!!!
how did these guys not get a cameo in pitch perfect?!?!
Well Donald did ..
3:00 The guy on the right! That is the best dance move I've ever seen in my entire life!

You have got to love this. Awesome group!
Как всегда 4минуты улыбка до ушей и настрой на весь день!!!
can't believe there are no instruments in this! incredible!
There are more talented groups out there, but few are as much fun as the Blanks. Also, their bass is one of the best I've ever heard.
+Dave Kane
And he got the moves too.
Paul Perry. He does the arrangements too.
Loved hearing you on radio in Australia today. Go The Blanks
you guys should really make more videos like this

I hate the song, but you fellas make it worth listening to!!!
Back in 2011 when "watch in 720p HD" in the description was a indicator of quality. Great video! Everyone is having so much fun.
The Todd makes everything better.
Well... _almost_ anything. :(
I can't even describe in words how describe how beautiful that was
their bass is awesome
This is just awesomeness. The appearance of the Todd was a nice surprise too:)
meravigliosi! son bravissimi! ogni volta ke vedo sto video crepo dalle risate!
Full covers of each of these songs would only be the most amazing thing everrrr :DDD
Rest In Peace Sam Lloyd. You'll stay in my heart forever.
This had me dying laughing especially Rihanna - Only Girl In The World lol and the random Barbara Streisand
Songs about partying at clubs are always better when sung by middle aged white acapella singers. Completely serious.
I loved Sam Lloyd. Rest in Peace Sir. You are missed by millions.
There is no past tense, I still love this man and everything he has done 😊
To be honest some were better then the Originals^^
I agree.
To be honest, every one was better. Like a few thousand times better.

Singing like this takes real skill and charisma, unlike a lot of the rubbish that is popular now.
