1. He needs to grow up and prioritize responsibilities. I think preparing for your job is more important than visiting your friends which you can do AFTER the trip.
2. She was busy! She had other things to do. She isn't responsible for his things. She already has other children to take care of.

The op is being really selfish is the first story, they traumatized the poor girl and she has every right to cut her out of her life permanently. To say it’s water under the bridge is very messed up as it makes you come off as someone you has little regard for her feelings. Not to mention, the op’s diagnose doesn’t excuse their behavior in the past. They should just respect her decision and stay out her life without being upset and trying to justify their actions.

Thats not how it works like just because it was six years ago doesn't mean it's all fine. You we're so mean that she moved, and it was so wrong to edit her with her abuser or whatever it was. Um, firstly there is nowhere that says that being a housewife you automatically have to pack your husbands bag.
